A bold piece, fairly weighty and approx four inches long. Adjustable wings on moveable gears can be extended or retraced to nestle against vintage clock and watch parts hand selected and set against filigree background. Stones are swarovski crystals, ribbon binding is sized to order and fastened with vintage style toggle and loop.
I've had my eye on these base pocket watches for awhile now, and I finally bought one!! I placed each broken watch piece carefully in the back(there were a lot of pieces) and then painted a dragonfly charm a gold color, and placed it inside. Took several hours, but was totally worth it! Sold it for $40 If you like to order one, please let me know!
Mantid is a unique recycled watch parts creature inspired by Preying Mantises and Spiders.
He was created with a variety of watch parts including watch strap springs, winding stems, watch plates, gears, silver watch face wings, and a blue Christmas tree light which makes up his tail. His blue eye is a winding stem knob, his other eye a watch balance bridge.
Mantid is soldered together using silver bearing, lead free solder. No glue was used in the creation of this piece.
Dimensions: 36mm wide, 57mm tip to tail, 51mm tall He comes with a 3" by 4" glass dome with walnut base for display. He is extremely fragile and should be handled sparingly and very gently, and is most definitely not a toy.

Nuts & Volts is proud to present the newest Steampunk iPhone dock from artist Jonathan Alberico. This stunning hand crafted piece is an original design constructed from scavenged items including a brass horn and vintage wood retrieved from a 200 year old barn.
This dock perches on any wall and hangs elegantly. It is perfect for small rooms but does get loud enough to fill the largest room in your house. This is a truly Steampunk amplifier and features no additional electronic components other than your iPhone 4/4s. This dock is inspired with a nautical theme and shows the wear and weathering of a piece perched within Captain Nemo's personal quarters as he ventured 20,000 leagues under the sea.
