Innocence - poemIt was a tranquil world,Innocence - poem6 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
With cloudy yet blue skies,
And singing, skipping girls,
Whilst boys chased butterflies.
The grass was green in summer,
Where you played with your friends,
And made valentines for lovers,
That you weren't afraid to send.
You read far too often,
And lived in a daydream,
A world filled with dragons,
Who would strike down the mean.
Europe was a world away,
There were no natural disasters,
A killing blow was a scrape,
And you'd save the world with plasters.
Peace was another word for quiet,
Because war zones didn't exsist,
There was no place for riots,
In your world lay only bliss.
Tag was just a game,
But still you ran for your life,
Your invisible friend was to blame,
The cause of the only strife.
You'd be a superhero when you were older,
And protect everyone from bad guys,
But instead, the world grew colder,
And robbed the innocence from your eyes.

Team Zeta eventually made their way into Martys office, which was small, and stacked wall to-wall with file cabinets surrounding the small desk and computer Marty had to work with. Marty took his seat behind the desk to look at the photos taken of the artifact and the two pieces found so far.
Wow, Marty exclaimed. This is some well-carved stuff. You think this might be fake? Its hard to tell from the photographs.
Pretty much, Carly responded. The pieces are back in the safety vault. There werent a lot of erosion from the pieces or the artifact. That alone had us questioning the validity of this artifact.
False relics do turn up from time to time. In fact, they constitute well over 70% of our findings. Theres a lot of sick people in the world.
Well false relic or not, we nearly got sh

Beware the darksome maid, Shavaughn,
Who stalks barefoot across the lawn
From her cold dark-veinéd marble tomb
To gnaw your soul and seal your doom...
She casts her spells of madness wild,
This strange and lovely woman-child
Whose long dark tresses and pale skin
Conceal the horrors that lurk within...
Her tainted lips part in such a smile
That would make Van Helsing run a mile--
O, linger not! Beware her eyes!
In love and dread her victim dies
As her impish laugh rings through the night
In macabre, wicked, pure delight...

it was a cold febuary day at camp half-blood. i was standing on the porch of the big house, watching all the guys running around the fields-from their cabins to the camp store then back to their cabins- trying to see if they had picked the best valentine gift for their girlfriend/crush.
yep, that's right. i said it. valentines day. the time of the year where all the aphrodite campers run around putting pink, red, purple and white silk sashes all around the camp. covering everyone's cabins-including the ares campers- and placing flowers and cut outs of hearts that will talk to you about what gifts would be best to get. yeah, creepy. though, not as creepy as the singing flowers that can make puppies grow from their roots if your lover wants a pet. yeah~, not the best time of the year.
but, unlike all those other guys running around like hera had just sent a heard of mad cows after you- and i will tell you, i have seen to many of those to know exactly how you shoul

I try and try to resist you, block you out of my life
and yet you always manage to cheat your way into my thoughts
You're so unfair
Why am I the only one whose heart is captivated?
I've tried to deny my feelings but your Hazel eyes see so clearly
It's as if you see through my very soul
Leaving me naked, exposed to every bit of desire your smile incites
Damn that smile
Why must it be so persistent?
Always there, present on your lips
whispering sweat words of affection
stroking my emotions with each breath
As I thought, this really isn't fair
I have come to love you so dearly
to point where I even call out to you in my sleep
just hoping that one night you'll once again appear in my dreams
How is it that I can love you so much
yet I don't even know your name?

The heart you love will sing your rhyme.
You hope that love will change his mind,

The residue of love once kept.
A hug to maybe warm the heart;
A kiss to beg a fresh restart,
But time's been lost and gone with snow,
Even Spring can't make stones grow.

In the chairman's office at Atlas Headquarters in London, chairman Carruthers looks at his computer screen in a disapproving manner. His right hand rests on the mouse with only his index finger moving as it clicks the mouse's button. He seems to be viewing something on the screen, most likely a collection of pictures as the colors from the screen that shine on his face change. A deep sigh echoed from him every few times he clicked on the mouse. Across from him at the other side of his desk is Team Zeta, sitting down in chairs waiting for him to say something. Carly remained stoic as she sat down, why Sarah nervously shook in her seat, nearly shaking the seat she was sitting on. Paulina's eyes darted back and forth, eyeing her teammates behaviors and wondering how she should be feeling at this moment, while Emily slouched in her chair with her eyelids lowered, not caring what about the speech Carruthers was going to give o

Hair as black as ebony
Lips as red as blood
and skin as pale as snow
I was chased out of my own home,
hated because of my looks
Did you ever stop to think
that I considered you a mother?
I never asked to look like this
and never asked you to take your jealousy out on me
I ran far away,
from you and your jealousy
Why do you hate me so?
One bite was all it took,
to take me away from this world
This cruel, hateful world,
in which I lived
But I was brought back to
that cruel, hateful world
My prince, the one responsible
brought me back
With true love's kiss
He taught me that the world
wasn't as hateful and cruel as I thought it was
He showed me
how to love again

An hour later, Chris and Jay emerged from the cave and walked right back to the beavers, who were still waiting by the black Hummer.
"So you have it?" the tall beaver asked.
"Right here!" Chris holds up the ruby to show that it was retrieved.
"Hand it over!"
"With pleasure!" Chris calmly hands the ruby to the beaver, who snatches it out of Chris' hand and proceeds to the Hummer. "So how about our fee?"
"Fee?" the beaver asked. "For what?"
"For getting Estrella Roja!" Jay reminded them.
"Oh yeah!" the beaver says as he gets into the Hummer. "Here's your stinkin' fee!" The beaver peels out and drives off, leaving the two adventurers in the dust. When he sees the Hummer out of their sight, Chris reaches into his pockets to try and find something.
"You know, that would bother me if they didn't pay us for finding it " Chris slowly pulls out Estrella Roja from his pockets and takes a good look at it. " if t

You ask me if I'm okay
And I don't reply;
I just walk away.
Over and over,
Day after day,
It's that same little question
To which I have no say.
Finally after yet another try
I look at you
Meeting your worried eyes.
I put on a smile
And force out a laugh.
"Of course silly!
I'm more than alright."
A sigh escapes your lips
And your hand touches my hip.
Your head leans on mine
And your arms wrap my close.
You whisper in my ear,
"I'm sorry I'm the one who hurts you the most."

See, her wrists stuck out with the bones at funny angles, and her ankles seemed to knock together from miles apart, and even a paraplegic could play a song upon her ribcage. Yeah, that's how far it stuck out. She was a corpse, a freaking corpse, man. A real breathing, thinking, moving, dreaming and slowly decomposing living cadaver. All that was missing was a toe-tag and body bag, and trust me. Those aren't far behind.
But don't tell her I said all that, okay?
She'd take offense.
There's something...harsh. About this girl. The way she carries herself, and her self-inflicted decomposition, it's like she's got a vendetta against the world, and this is a matter of pride. Her own freaking red badge of courage, except this one never washes out or gets stitched up.
Attractive, isn't it?
don't tell her I said anything?
It's hard to tell your shadow
just how she should look.

My hands are tied with roots; my legs are lame.
At night alone my numb face thine doth meet,
and cold as I am, thou shalt be the same.
Thou build'st thy home upon my crooked back;
'tis thou that carv'st the furrows in my face;
thou steal'st from me what I already lack,
yet not a word I've heard from thee of grace.
Each rock thou throw'st is aimed at my old heart,
although I selflessly provided thee.
My friends, the birds, too oft with me do part -
their ancestors, however, rest with me.
The merry gentlemen dance in my hand.
I am the precious ground on which you stand.
