Hope you are all doing well and that life is treating you good. After a long absence we return with the Inspiration features but will not return with the Artist of the Week theme. It's never easy to choose a person only so I have decided not to search for that person. It takes more time to select the Artist than to feature several of them.

It's been a while since we've done features or selected the Artist of the Week but unfortunately my main job and life constantly get in the way of my free time.
I don't think I ever wrote a personal note on PhotoArtists but I would like you to know that I am very proud of this group, of all the people that help our quality grow and especially the people behind the scenes, my staff. I know this group wouldn't run like it does without them.
Declining works and declining members is always a pain in the a$$. I don't like to do it, the admins don't like to do it, but it's a necessity. We decline members to avoid declining works. While we decline works sometimes we do to the member's gallery and chose another photo to compensate for the one declined. We are always polite, even in the "backstage" where it all happens and all gets decided.
I wish I could make a huge feature to include all the members but unfortunately I can't do that.

Shooting in direct sunlight can lead to images that have high contrast, blown out highlights, lens flare and colors that might even look overly saturated. If you're shooting portraits they can also lead to the 'squint factor'.
So what's a photographer to do?
Here are eleven quick and simple tips at combating the problems that bright sunlight might bring when shooting outdoors:
1. Move into the shade
With some subjects you'll be able to move them (and yourself) into the shade. This is particularly relevant with portraits where your subject is highly portable. Sometimes the simplest solutions are best.

Life is ticking along even with the Camera Collection Dustbut Ill get the spark back soon enough I think. I have a Shoot coming up with a Local Bar to get there Web page and Facebook going. Got a Big Sale in the Works as well for another Local business. That will be nice. Anyway enough about me! How the Hell is everyone doing????
