and afraid of what it knows
I go, I go,
solitary prints in the snow.
Out in this desert
the cold always gets you first.
I shiver still,
not yet used to this empty curse.
The moon disapproves
of the stories I will use
when I am found,
when I dedicate this to you.
The trees look on me,
say nothing of what they see-
I know, I know,
they see a man too cold to breath,
(and) it's a straight walk home
and (I'm) afraid of what it knows,
(still) I go, I go-
(isolated) footprints in the snow.
