Hiccstrid Drabble: SnoggletogTime performed the oddest, most wonderful miracles on living creatures. The harsh snow that froze the unforgiving land could reflect white beauty for all to see, with constant sunlight illuminating winter grandeur. The most fearsome beasts, raging with teeth and spines, softened at their most vulnerable.Hiccstrid Drabble: Snoggletog3 months ago in Romance More Like This
At the Dragon Egg Islands, as the Berkians called them, miracles happened year after year, in the dead of winter. The dragons would migrate to these warm spots in the cold ocean and have their babies, pushing the eggs into pools of boiling water. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, Dragon Trainer and Whisperer, would often accompany them on his dragon Toothless, and help all the babies return.
He had his reasons for limiting the number of riders who came. In addition to the careless friends who would tromp over nesting grounds without a worry, several crafty Vikings would want to steal the babies and train them. Others, Romans entranced by the exotic, implied that dragon eggs made great ome

Dagur sat on his quiet deck, listening to the boats move in formation. He clenched a mug of the Berserkers' strongest ale, spiced with crazy-making herbs and mint. The mint added domesticity to the deranged part of his brand.
They'd attack Berk, once they had more intelligence on the types of dragons they had, how big their army was. Hiccup and the Night Fury had easily defeated him once both were free, Hiccup with that ornate shield and the dragon with its firepower. Dagur would have to consult his source, maybe sneak in a spy or two. Then again, the source said that Berk identified spies easily now, and he knew that Stoick the Vast was not an idiot. The Berserkers would have to wait a long time to declare war, if they wanted to win and conquer the island.
Three cups later, he still wouldn't give way to a crying jag. Berserkers didn't cry, and he had trained himself not to shed a single tear before deposing his father.

It was true that Lion-O needed an heir. The other animal species leaders often teased him whenever they spoke with him. "You don't have an heir yet?" "Every king should have an heir!" "How long have you been ruling? How long have you been married? Four years?! Then get a move on!"
But sometimes Lion-O wondered if they knew exactly what they were saying had more underneath the surface. An heir made it sound like it was a recyclable material. An heir made it sound like some sacred jewel he had to keep locked away for safe keeping. But what the other leaders forgot to mention was that an heir was a child; a baby; a person. They breathed, they ate, slept, played, smiled- just like everyone else.
Lion-O would get flustered when someone would bring up the idea of an heir, but it never actually bothered him much. He would dismiss the idea; it never struck him to the core. Maybe that was why when Cheetara phrased it differently it nearly knocked the wind right out

The night was quiet; the only noises to be heard were the wind mingling with the trees and grass, as well as the crickets chirping in protest against the invisible assailant. It was peaceful; something the Thundercats never really saw much of after their kingdom had fallen. But this moment was special to the young king; not only was it peaceful, but it was peaceful with Cheetara.
They hadn't been given a moment to themselves since they had gotten together. If they weren't fighting, they were travelling. If they weren't travelling, they were setting up camp. And if they weren't setting up camp then they were trying to take care of their group or planning ahead for the next day. Panthro must have noticed Lion-o's melancholic mood; not getting to spend time with his new girlfriend was starting to wear itself on his sleeve. So the older cat had sent them on another 'patrol' around the border. He winked and sent them off.
Lion-o would have to thank him
