Bits and Pieces
I stared outside the window, a little downhearted. It seemed that was all I could do in this white... Really white room. There was nothing to do in the hospital but sit around. If you even thought about moving, the doctors would start yelling at you. They looked down on you, watched out for you like a baby in a patch of thorns. I wasn't a baby though, far from it. I was a seventeen year old, locked away from the world.
My parents made sure I was under such good quality care and I knew it was because they loved me but... I wished they would let me do things that other kids would have done.
When I was three, I would have wanted to play with the colourful blocks in such an array that it would amaze even a ten year old.
When I was five, I would have liked to be around other kids my age, make new friends and get dirty in the dirt.
When I was seven, I would have died to play around in the snow with my snow gear on, get wet and shiver but warm up to a cup of cocoa

The first day of every school term at the Royal Fire Pre-Academy for Girls was always such a wonderful experience for Instructor Daoshi. She got to meet a new group of bright young ladies who would grow under her care to be the future leaders of the Fire Nation. Discovering their budding personalities would make the hours of patient instruction fly by, and seeing their strengths and interests blossom in the classroom was the all the reward Daoshi wanted for her service.
And this year, the Princess Azula would be starting school, right in Daoshi's class!
What could be better?
It was fifteen minutes until class would begin, and the Pre-Academy's students were assembling in the courtyard outside. Alone in her classroom, Daoshi straightened her robes and hummed a little tune (the Fire Nation anthem, because it was the only music that wasn't at least mildly illegal, probably because it had no lyrics and you couldn't dance to it, even in clogs). "Jordan No Jordan!" When Eva saw her partner above her as she was held against her will, she screamed for him not to save her, but it was too late, Jordan plummeted into the light as Canaletto attacked furiously. Jordan's body became infused with light and the darkness that was around them soon became consumed in light.
"Molly Wake up." Molly's eyes opened as Jordan came into view floating in the air. He took the shape of the new Avatar of Oban, he was covered in golden rays, the sight of him was beautiful and gentle, he looked liked an angel. "Jordan, you're okay." "I have to go now, Molly...! As soon as Jordan turned, he felt the warmth of a gentle and familiar hand on his cheek, Molly returned his affection and Jordan looked at her warmly, and kissed her, whispering that he would never forget her. Then everything became overflowed with light.

"What is going on with her? Shouldn't she be happier than that? I mean she did just get cleared of all charges and can do what she wants to know," Korra suggested.
"Bo, is it?" Mako asked as he turned to his brother.
"Yep. Now that you mention it. I think so anyway," Bolin agreed.
"What is it? She's had that look before. But I could never get her to say why. Can you tell me?" General Iroh asked coming back to the table.
"Yes, tomorrow is the day her mother died. She's probably thinking about that. Even though its the same time as her birthday," Mako answered.
"Not just that. I can tell you what she's thinking. Whore, winch, useless cow. There is nothing to celebrate. Even after all these years. All that echoes in her brain is the things society burned into her. Plus without a birth in general there is no reason she sees to celebrate being in this world," Docra responded.
"What do you mean no birth? And why would she think those things?!" Korra shouted across the table

DilemmaSarah Caultry regarded the rat in front of her with the greatest admiration she had for a man, and given her track record with them it was a very high compliment coming from her. At first, she had thought of him as one of the many. She had grouped him with the intellectuals that believed a woman's place was the home and to birth strong children while cooking meals and cleaning. She could never have been more wrong in her life. After the eventful first impression she had given him, he had grown to think of her as a sort of female foil, his very own Irene Relda. They had been rivals for a time, like he and Basil though their games were nowhere near as dangerous, but every bit as exciting. She enjoyed teasing him, and he enjoyed picking her brain. Nurgle's love was humanity's bane. Those in suffering turned to the Plague Lord for relief and succor. Bloating with concern, necrotic arms embracing sore-covered flesh, pus-heavy lips kissing the pain away; Nurgle's love was boundless. Under the power of the Lord of Decay, death was nothing. The transience of life passed, and under Nurgle's paternal gaze, bloomed into something greater. Souls taken in the Grandfather's name were well-cared for spirits. Let the Imperium's clergy preach their hopeless doctrines. Papa Nurgle was the most involved out of any deity in the plight of mortals. He answered when no one else would.
Typhus was Nurgle's herald. In a galaxy bereft of the Emperor's fatherly protection, Typhus spread the epidemic of freedom unto the Imperium. Host of the Destroyer Hive, Typhus endured, unloved and unwelcomed by the people he freed of their mortal prisons.
CullThey were on crusade. Following rumours, hearsay, and survivor accounts, the Victus gave chase. Across nebulous quadrants and warring systems, the hunters relentlessly tracked down their quarry. The offer of others assistance was bluntly refused. Not only was the Chapter Master prideful, but wary of outsiders fighting alongside his warriors. Better the Imperium to not hear of his soldiers’ butchery from second-hand accounts and be called for censure.Cull2 years ago in Sci-Fi More Like This

With the Victus and strike cruisers decimating the traitors’ vessels in orbit, the newly-formed Chapter slaughtered their opponents on the battlefield. Heads were taken. Corrupt blood stagnated in fly-infested pools. True to their gladiatorial roots, the rebels gave no quarter. Later reports surmised they even welcomed their brutal deaths. Committing all his forces to the final stronghold, Chapter Master Nassir Amit gave the order.

Okay. I suppose at this point in the proceedings i should probably introduce myself. My name is Corey Black. Perhaps. I'm known by many names, that's the one which is most appropriate for you to know me by. The same as i have many names, i am also many things. Capable of atrocities that'd make some of your war criminals seem like children hitting each other with sticks.
A point to remember, dear reader: A hero is often simply a war criminal who has the fortune of being on the winning side.
But, dear reader, i digress.
There are a few things you need to understand about me. I'm strong with the Force. Not as strong as some, but stronger than many. My mother was a Jedi. She tried instructing me in the ways of the light, much to the disgust of my father. He you see, was a Sith. Not the most powerful, but powerful enough to betray, rather than be betrayed. Just as is their way. I must draw you to a previous point, about my mother. When i said she was a Jedi, this was true. But she was not a

The vox station chirruped, drawing the captain's attention. Leaning over the servitor tech-marine Dmitriy scanned the display.

At that moment, the cantina erupted with people bursting out of their chairs, tearing blasters from their holsters, several of them trained on my father. I tore off my cloak and caused heads to spin in my direction when the familiar snap-hiss of a lightsaber activation.
"Ne shab'rud'ni, " I growled a warning at the pair of Rodian's with drawn blasters, pointing at my father.
"him speak gibberish." One of the pair said, vocabulator hissing the translation, while the other turned and trained his pistol on me. I sensed his intent to shoot, so I lifted his partner into the way. Three blasts of energy tore into his chest, and I snapped his neck.
Harsh, maybe, but he was beyond saving.
After the first shot was fired, the cantina erupted in a hail of blasterfire, much of which was directed at me. I caught three of the first four bolts, sending them back with my lightsaber, though the fourth caught me squarely in the left shoulder.

It was a long held source of pride in the First House. I woke up to find three concerned looking faces staring down at me, with my head still buzzing from where it'd hit the floor. Again. Everything in my field of vision was swimming in and out of focus, my balance and strength barely there enough for me to raise my head.
"I just need a rest," I mumbled, trying to work the energy to open my body for healing.
My strength failed at that point, and the only thing that stopped my head crashing into the solid permacrete floor, was a pair of tiny hands.
"Rest well," he said, "And thank you."
It seemed that while I was out, another couple of people had arrived. Jedi, by the feel of them. So my little fight hadn't gone unnoticed. Everyone in the room was a little on edge, though the Jedi hid it well, on the surface at least.
I sat up, knowing that there was no real point in me hiding the fact I was awake, not with a pair of Jedi in the room.
"Welcome back," the female Jedi, said. I was hoping it was the Jedi anyway, 'cause if not, then I'd hit my

I agreed to go in, and try to negotiate with them, I received a location, and a time, and I was off. I sensed a trap, a Jedi would make a tidy profit on the black market, as a slave, or a trophy, whichever they preferred.
And I knew, that if I was to make this charade work, I couldn't go in there weapons blazing, knowing neither whether I'd be cut down in seconds by overwhelming force of arms, or if not, it would be hard to make them believe I was a Jedi, when they're supposed to be as near to damn passive as it can possibly get.
