There's long been rumors as to how, exactly, rainbows are made in Equestria. While a great amount of Pegasi ponies are employed in the Rainbow department of the weather factory, almost all of them do the low-end work. What's know is that great streams of Spectra, the individual colours of the rainbow, flow through large grates and into vast vats. As I lay my ear upon his chest I hear his heart beating, thump thump. I feel like I can hear his love beating for me beneath his ribcage. Then I feel his lungs inhale, then shudder with an exhale. Something isn't right, that breath was too shuddery. I look up, and I look into his eyes. I see a tear in the corner. It runs down the bridge of his nose, I wipe it away with my thumb, and look deep in his eyes, seeing pain behind his eyes.

The werehog sprinted up the stairs on all fours skipping several steps with each stride as he wound his way up the spiraling stairs. Sonic noted that this was most likely one of Eggman's escape routes and not actually the main entry to whatever room this led to. If this is his only way out and I can stop that portal, the only place he can scamper off to is out the main doors and right into the knights' hands. He won't get away this time.
Finally the stairs leveled off and he found himself at the top of the stairs, but there was not door. He was in a small room surrounded by what looked like completely solid stonewalls.
