Today is the 4th Advent, in not even 6 (for some people 7) days is Christmas Eve. Because I won't be at home from Christmas until the 29th or even 30th of December I decided to put up a nice Feature of Christmas Art. Today I had my Mum, her boyfriend and his father over for dinner. We had fried trout filets, boiled potatoes and cucumber sald and a nice apple-vanilla-cinnamon junket as Dessert. I wanted to do something for them - they always support me so much and the father of my mum's boyfriend invites us for dinner so often and he just won't let me pay when we go to a restaurant. So yeah - this is the only chance I have to invite all of them for dinner...and it was so nice even though a lot of work - I guess I will do it again I think somewhere around next year - maybe in April before Easter Sunday or something like that...maybe earlier..I don't know yet ^^ I'm

"Heil Hitler!" A dozen or so male voices pierced the before quiet room. You watched as they stood their red emblem clad arm out in salute. All around you where women, dressed fancy with their gloves and silk gowns. Of course you weren't much different. In fact you were almost the same.
You had a long, fitting red dress on, with white gloves and your hair was done beautifully by your head maid.
Currently you were at a party for higher ranking Nazi's. Most of them knew the Führer. Including your own boyfriend, Gilbert Beilschmidt.
Gilbert was a very handsome man, with pale features. Pale skin, pale hair but crimson eyes that made you have chills down your spine whenever you looked at them.
He was a wonderful person, maybe his ego was too high sometimes but he was very caring and fun. But lately, well, he'd changed. Ever since that start of the war, he had grown colder.
"Heil Hitler!" The women repeated joyously. You muttered it a little half hea
A Note For The Hetalia HatersA Sidenote:A Note For The Hetalia Haters2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
I just read a ton of Hetalia hate. First off, calling us Hetafags is extremely immature and offensive. Two, Hetalia isn't so much racist as stereotypical. The definition of racist is as follows-
1. the belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by hereditary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others
Yes, Hetalia may showcase countries as having distinct traits based on physical and hereditary factors, but does it make it seem that Japan is superior to America? OR Germany is superior to France? No. It shows the good AND the bad in these countries. If you're going to go hate on Hetalia for being "racist", then I suggest you walk up to the White House every single time you see a news article about another country and speak to Obama about it. There has never been a time where we have not all made fun of someone else or been a bit stereotypical. I respect everyone's opinion, I just think calling it
The Committed Canvas:icontechgnotic:The Committed Canvas5 years ago in Personal More Like This
Tattooing has existed since the very beginnings of Neolithic human expression and has since those ancient beginnings continued to be a reliable flash indicator of personality type. There are those people who get tattoos and there those people who simply do not. Even though the social opprobrium for getting inked has greatly disappeared in recent years, and even though skin art has become almost boringly de rigueur amongst rock guitarists and other entertainers, there is still one element that separates the tattooed from the non-tattooed in terms of artistic appreciation: commitment.
Tattoos may be the first “interactive” art form. The art lover doesn’t just buy an artist’s artwork – he or she becomes one with artwork, he or she commits to becoming a living canvas for the artwork, he or she, by choosing the tattoo to be borne forever, shares authorship with the tattoo artist of the artwork. Reposting our art can get you a free keyI get a lot of people asking if it's ok to repost our stuff on sites like Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and other social media sites.Reposting our art can get you a free key2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Not only is it ok if you repost our work, but it's very, very much appreciated. Obviously so long as you credit us, please (linking to our shop is much appreciated). It basically draws more people to us, so we really really love when people do this.
A few weeks ago we had someone on here repost some of our keys on Tumblr. It got a lot of attention and drew a lot of people to our shop. I finally tracked down who it was and gave them a free key (thank you again, FrozenNote ). Then I thought, I wonder how many other people are reposting our stuff. I see it a lot of places (and I would say 95% of the time they credit us) but it's hard to find who posts them.
So, I wanted to put it out there that if anyone ever reposts our stuff and links to our shop and their post gets a lot of attention (let's say 1,000 likes on Facebook or 1,000 notes on Tumblr)
How to Write a Proper CritiqueIts my personal opinion that deviantART has a pretty good critique system, but what good is a wonderful critique system if you dont know how to write a proper critique? Most of the critiques Ive seen around here have been pretty good, but heres a guide that I came up with just in case you need a little help. =]How to Write a Proper Critique5 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Dont forget to take this article with a grain of salt.
The DosUseful informationWhat the artist has done rightWhat the artist has done wrongHow to improve
A critique should be useful.
A critique should provide useful feedback on the piece thats being critiqued. It should include what the artist has done right, what the artist has done wrong, and most importantly, how to improve.
Tell the artist what theyve done right.
Its important to let the artist know what theyre doing right not only because its useful knowing that, but because its encouraging. You never want to have your critique sound too

New Generation: Carter Carter - Carter was born in Goldenrod city, and was raised by his extended family, as his parents were traveling abroad, studying legendary pokemon. Carter's home was a dare care center, and was around pokemon all the time. One day, a female feraligator gave birth, leaving behind an egg. The Trainer was to preoccupied with training for the Pokemon league, and didn't take the egg, leaving it with Carter's family. Carter took care of the egg. After a few months, it hatched, and out came a small Totodile, which he named Sid. Carter and the totodile were inseparable, as they always went on adventures together. As Carter grew and matured, so did Sid, his personality evolving from cute and harmless into a bit of a pervert, with amazing skills of thievery. Despite all of Carter's efforts, Sid wouldn't evolve, perhaps out of stubbornness, or maybe because girls wouldn't hold him if he was a feraligator. When the time came for Carter to go on his adventure, Sid was tNew Generation: Carter4 years ago in Personal More Like This

TALENT IS EARNEDTalent is EarnedTALENT IS EARNED2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I get it. There are some people out there that do have some extreme capabilities right out of the womb, but this is targeted to those who are average joes, who think they can’t do things that a person with ‘Talent’ can.
Let’s start by defining the word ‘Talent’. According to dictionary.com it states
1. a special natural ability or aptitude: a talent for drawing.
2. a capacity for achievement or success; ability: young men of talent.
3. a talented person: The cast includes many of the theater’s major talents.
4. a group of persons with special ability: an exhibition of water colors by the local talent.
5. Movies and Television. professional actors collectively, especially star performers.
This definition, in my opinion, is misused when said to me. Because to me it implies that what I do, is specially natural to me and
Parody vs Pastiche and other Humorous ExamplesJust for fun I thought I'd do a rundown of the most common forms of humor, their definitions, and examples. This is not a complete list by any means, but they are a list of many forms of humor and literature discourse which often get confused of mixed up.Parody vs Pastiche and other Humorous Examples2 years ago in Personal More Like This
An imitative work created to mock, comment on or trivialize an original work, its subject, author, style, or some other target, by means of satiric or ironic imitation.
Example: The movie "Airplane" is a parody of 1970's disaster movies. Many of Weird Al's music videos are parodies of other more famous music videos.
A work of visual art, literature, or music that imitates the style or character of the work of one or more other artists. Unlike parody, pastiche celebrates, rather than mocks, the work it imitates.
Example: The movie "Super 8" is a pastiche of 1980's adventure films, specifically imitating the style of Stephen Spielberg's early career,

The chaptered comic strip, has been collected into a 100-page graphic novel – and to the still-uninitiated:
It is not quite like anything you’ve probably ever seen before. The story follows “Zee Captain” and his sidekicks as they amble through a post-apocalyptic landscape. And while that hardly seems new and different, it’s the unusually superlative graphic quality of the comic cells and the Monty Pythonesque dialogues and leaps of logic that can become quite mesmerizing. Zee Captain, his face hidden by a gas mask that gives him a Darth Vaderish look, wears what looks like a Soviet Red Army uniform from WWII, and the strip does have nourish WWII feel. It’s as if the nuclear holocaust on Hiroshima and Nagasaki had never ended and spread to every major city on Earth. But
