Alex sat in the interrogation room, one hand cuffed to the metal table he sat at, one-way glass directly in front of him, going over the events that had brought him there. His face was throbbing from where the vamp had punched him, and his jaw was swollen from a similar incident. He should have known he wouldn't have been able to take on the whole nest by himself. It was probably lucky that the cops found him. If they hadn't, the vamps surely would have torn him apart. Unfortunately, now he had no way out. They took his wallet, car keys, and cell phone when they brought him in, so he couldn't use any of them, or anything he had hidden inside them, like the mini lock pick in his wallet and car keys.
