Stalking his prey,
He leaps from his viewpoint,
Into the hay.
With silent footsteps,
He follows nearby,
Gently pushing his way,
Knowing who will die.
The soon to be victim,
Stops and turns,
And of his fate,
He quickly learns.
His arms wide open,
The hooded man strolls forward,
With a short, quiet breath.
The blade, thin and sharp,
Slid into the mans throat,
A gargle was made,
Silenced by a nearby goat.
As quickly as that,
The man dropped to the floor,
The hooded man was gone,
As guards came through a door.
'Who did this?!' they yelled,
Looking at the wound below his chin,
Only one thought came to mind,
That was the thought, of the Assassin.
Three Dresses for Charlie Ep.2Part 2: Skirt ShockedThree Dresses for Charlie Ep.24 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
When Charles woke up the next day everything seemed surreal. He had slept in his boy underwear, and he still felt like a boy, but he saw a black and white maid's dress in the corner that everyone expected him to wear today. He thought it might have just been a strange dream, but his room was different; he walked into the bathroom and found Lilly's things. He spent a long time staring at the dress, wondering if he really had to put it on.
Lilly knocked through the bathroom door, cracked it open, and carefully peeked out, "How's it going in there Charlie?"
"I don't know, I'm just kind of skirt shocked. Does everyone expect me to come out in the dress?"
"We were kind of wondering that ourselves. Kate bet Ms. Hughes twenty dollars against it."
"Is Ms. Hughes going to be mad if I don't?"
"I don't think so. She's been more quiet than usual. How do you feel about it?"
"I keep thinking about all the kids at my old school laughing at me."
"You see any of them in town?"

Kate was more angry then traumatized about the incident, but she came by Charlotte's room after nights out to ask if she could sleep there. They grabbed some cushions off of a nearby couch and Kate slept on the floor.
The next morning, Ms. Hughes came by a little early to wake them up.
She poked her head in with a strange grin, "Hey Charlie, guess what?"
"Are the police here?"
"No just come here. You too Kate."
Charlie rubbed her eyes and stumbled out of bed. She usually thought of herself as a boy in the mornings before she got dressed, but she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, and with her hair extensions and shaped finger nails, that wasn't happening. She helped Kate up, and the two followed Ms. Hughes back to her office in their pajamas.
They've never seen Ms. Hughes use a computer before, but she had a laptop sitting on her desk and she pulled up Youtube. There was a video from a security camera showing the two muggers hassling the pageant winners,

Just a few blocks away, the town was more modern, though still well-mannered and quaint. But in the town center, there were no cars, and no modern electronics were visible from the street.
Charles got off the bus behind a load of Japanese tourists. He tried to find his bearings from a local street sign, but it was late in the day and the light was getting dim. He had a hard time reading much of anything. He tried squinting harder, but that didn't help. There was a tap on his shoulder, and he turned around.
"You must be Charles." A young woman said smiling. She wore a very formal ruffled white top with a high collar and a knee-length black skirt. Her auburn hair was done up in sausage curls and had a black bow holding it in back. "Yeah I know. It's some get-up, huh?"
"Yes, Sorry for staring I'm Charles."

Ella had a healthy sense of humor, but she had nearly reached her limit. When the toady, hunched groom had referred to her as 'another of those blasted princesses', she couldn't help but grin. And when the man servant presented her at court with a river of rainwater still draining from her clothes and hair, she stifled a smirk at the spectacle she must have made.
But now, the queen was prodding at her hips and saying, "They're rather too thin. Not proper hips for bearing sons. And her hair is poker straight. With Prince Analdo's curls, their children will look like God knows wha--"
"I don't want to marry your son," Ella snapped, her good will exhausted.
"Of course you want to marry the prince. Why else would you be here?" the queen asked. There was an annoying little titter of laughter from the watching court.
"Because it's storming. And I got stuck out in it. I'm just looking for a place to stay the night and the loan of some dry clothes." She

It'd been a lousy night for poker. Tal Rommi was only up seventy bucks, and the only thing that made that remotely worthwhile were the free drinks she was getting. It was late, and with most of the waitresses on their way home, the service bots were coming out to take the night shift.
Sure the bots were made to look like drop-dead sexy girls covered in chrome, and some of the customers preferred them, but they were lacking the human element. Plus, the waitress Tal had been making eyes at for the last two hours, the one that kept bringing her stiff drinks, had disappeared.
Tal wondered if she was really as sexy as she thought she was. Maybe she should have worn something sluttier? but the old skin tight flight suit had always worked well for picking up little morsels like that waitress in the past. Confidence is the key, but showing off the goods couldn't hurt either.
She closed her eyes and accessed her bio menu. She left the hair alone, burgundy was her best color anyway, and shifted

So Dr. No became an unexpected huge success at the box office. A sequel seemed inevitable and what better Ian Fleming story to adapt than From Russia With Love, John F. Kennedy's favorite book? Yes, that was in fact the reason this movie was made and well, in a nutshell it was worth it since critics praised it and audiences obviously loved it enough for the film to make more money. They got Sean Connery back, SPECTRE is introduced and producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman hired back Terrence Young to direct.
This time the organization known as Spectre has taken notice of the death of Doctor No from the last movie and wants him dead by luring the MI6 agent himself into an assaination ploy by tricking a Russian agent to retrieve a device that was stolen by Spectre themselves.
It's a simple but straight forward thriller and as someone who has seen fifteen Bond movies so far, this one felt incredibly different as it's more like a straight thriller from the 60's than the Bond film

The 40th anniversary of the James Bond franchise finally commenced in 2002. The year was already crowded with new debuts for big budget films; Spider-Man was finally released to the moviegoing public after years of development hell (ironically, MGM was going to make Spidey their second franchise next to Bond before trading the rights for Casino Royale from Sony/Columbia), Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones was anticipated to be better than The Phantom Menace at least, Minority Report was the team up between Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was well under way for November of that year, as was The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Clearly MGM didn't intend to be left behind, out came Die Another Day on November 22nd after months of promotion and hype to the point of Mattel making Barbie dolls of the latest Bond girl and even ABC airing a slew of Bond films every Sunday such as The Spy Who Loved Me.
And nowadays, it garnered a mixed reactio

So Dr. No plenty of people saw, From Russia With Love alot of people saw, Goldfinger most people saw, Thunderball everyone saw when it first came out and made a ton of money at the box office and hell, even when adjusted in inflation, it still made alot of money. This was the first epic Bond film where the action is tighter, the scope is bigger, the production design is more lavish and beautiful than ever and the aspect ratio is now shot at 2:35:1 anamorphic widescreen. So after finally seeing it for myself I can see why people like it. So what's its story?
Well, the evil organization known Spectre from the first two films is up to no good again with Emilio Largo (played by Adolfo Celi) taking charge of a new operation of stealing two nuclear bombs and hold the world at ransom for one million pounds. James Bond himself (once again played by Sean Connery) heads to Bahamas to investigate and stop Largo's plans from ever succeeding.
This particular film is famous for alot of things as muc

So Live and Let Die did incredibly well at the box office and since mixing Bond and blaxploitation worked out well, mixing the franchise with martial arts is bound to work out, right? Not much apparently. Well the thing is, this was supposed to be made after You Only Live Twice and to be filmed in Cambodia but that didn't work out due to the Civil War in said country. And consequently, this was the last film to be co-produced by Harry Saltzman who left the franchise over finicial difficulties and sold his share to United Artists. But what really doesn't help this film is that critics, audiences and fans of the franchise remain mixed on this particular installment leaning towards the negative. So, what's the story then?
Bond (played by Roger Moore) is targeted by a rich assasin by the name of Francisco Scaramanga (played by Christopher Lee) and due to the threat on his life, M relieves him of his assignment but our favorite secret agent will have none of that and sets out to find the ma

Despite On Her Majesty's Secret Service making a profit, audiences just wouldn't take to the idea of a new actor playing James Bond. There was actually discussion of an American actor playing the role next after George Lazenby left after one film and even Adam West was considered. But in the end, United Artists managed to bring back Sean Connery for at least one last film; Diamonds Are Forever. In theory, this should prove to be the greatest swan song for one of the best actors to play the role and it turned out...very weak in the end. Alright, let me tell the story first.
After killing Ernst Starvo Blofeld (played this time by Charles Gray) for killing his wife from the last movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Bond (played by Sean Connery) is sent to uncover a diamond smuggling operation. Taking on the name of Peter Franks, an employee of the smuggling, takes him to Las Vegas teaming up with Tiffany Case (played by Jill St. John) as another diamond smuggler. However, the more he in

Come back here, I'm not done yet. Here's the thing, that was the name of a short story of the same name though it probably has nothing to do with the actual film aside from said title. Anyway, Roger Moore returns for the 6th time as the character of James Bond in the long running franchise. So, what's it about then?
A Double-O agent is found dead with a fake Fabergé egg in tow has James Bond immediately take over the assignment and later discovers there is a jewel smuggling operation as well as the egg's owner, the mysterious, elusive woman Octopussy (played by Maud Adams), the associate of ex-Afghan prince Kamal Khan (played by Louis Jourdan) but he also discovers a far more dangerous and nefarious plan the more he encounters him.

Winds of ChangeLife is the most unpredictable storm,Winds of Change3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
And I've experienced a few of those,
The wind has torn things apart before,
But it's also carried me through.
I've heard about the winds of change,
All my life I've seen them at work,
They taught me a lesson long ago,
Fighting change is a hopeless fight.
Over time I've learned to go with the flow,
To adjust to the environment around me,
I'm just another wave in the ocean,
Which is why I embrace the breeze.
Change isn't always a welcome thing,
Sometimes I don't really want to move,
Though the wind has been at my back lately,
Warm thermals have me flying high.
Life is the most unpredictable storm,
The winds of change are come as they please,
I've learned to take life in stride,
Even while moving against the wind.

I hear him ask the question. I hear him laugh for the thousand time this night. Only to be reminded that I'm not going to tell him where we are going. As did Duran Duran's last song from a certain film. This is said film; the 14th James Bond film A View To A Kill.
This was a success when it first came out and I'm guessing it was mostly thanks to that song. Is it wrong to say I find it a bit overrated? The song, not the movie. Ah well, let's get a few things over with. I was actually at least looking forward to this because of Christopher Walken and Grace Jones and they delivered in this film. What's the story?
