I have started a new project. So serious it is that I have opened a whole new folder in my deviantart page. It is called "Grimdarkified Science-fictionizeed Anthropomorphized Ponies." I think that explains it well enough. Well in case you don't know, it means that I am going to take most of the important characters from MLP:FiM, 'humanize' them, give them a grimdark science fiction design to them.
Twilight Sparkle Rank: Science Officer Occupation: Scientist/Engineer/Technician Primary Armament: Plasma Bomb Secondary Armament: Defense Shield Special Abilities: "Friendship is Science!"- Uses a questionably stable piece of technology to improve squad member's performance. "S.P.I.K.E. Communicator"- Special long-ranged quantum-entanglement communicator for instant interstellar communication. "Element of Magic"- Devastating Oribital Bombardment and Defense beacon.
I've been seeing lots of crickets around lately. They are one of the few insects that don't give me the creeps and I thought, "Why are there no cricket superheroes?" Probably because the cricket can't do anything much on the cool side. Doesn't climb walls, shoot webs etc. But MAN can those little things JUMP! This guy, The Cricketeer, can jump like a mile when he really has to. He has slightly tougher skin than most humans. About as tough as plywood maybe. Seemed like the right toughness to be in proportion to a carapace. He can also tell what the weather is going to do before it happens...hm, there's his alter ego right there. TV weatherman! I don't know if thats a real ability of the insect but there are rumors about it. And he can produce a loud chirping noise that can stun bad guys. Or annoy coworkers. Whichever is needed. Although, if he did it around his coworkers it would defeat the whole secret identity thing so scratch that. Oh yeah, he can communicate with real crickets.
An OC drawn/colored picture. A fairly older character named Tammuz.. dancing.
No real reason.. this picture came to mind.. the girl is fun-loving, and this is the sort of situation she'd throw herself into
