A very long drive towards hope. . .There are often times I sit back and reflect upon many things in my life as I go about my daily duties. I think of those I have met and those whom I call friend, brother, sister, companion, family. I think of their struggles in life, the good days and the bad, and I often wish I could do more to ease their pain and give them comfort as well as congratulations and encouragement. These are the good people who deserve good things, and yet life has done them great harm by the hands of spiteful individuals. They are strong Sparks despite the pain, or perhaps because of it, and they stand firm in their belief that they have the right to live and be who they are. They are the ones I hold dear to me, they are the ones I lift up and give support to when they need me, and in whom I see a reflection of myself; their kindness and generosity, their strength and perseverance, their conviction and determination, and their protectiveness and compassion for others.
