AUTHOR'S NOTES: I was in #fimfiction having some fun chatting and I decided to write up a single pony scene just for the fun of it. This is what I thought of. It took me an hour or two to finish it. I figured it was long enough to post as a shortie, though I eventually expanded it a little later on. Don't expect anything amazing here, just a little comedy. I'll get back to my serious stories soon.
Rarity trotted her way into the library, the door held open by her magic. There in the main foyer were Applejack and Pinkie Pie, who regarded her with smiles. "Afternoon there, Rarity. Nice of ya to make it," Applejack said.
"Anything to help out a friend, of course! Speaking of, where is Twilight?"
"She's still upstairs, doin'... somethin' or other. She'll be down eventually. We're just waitin' for the pegasi now."
Rarity nodded, closing the library door a

To The Faithful From The Unfaithful
A 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' One-Shot
My Dearest Student, Twilight,
In my one thousand years of rule, even I have not been without my errors. I am just as fallible as any other pony in Equestria. I'm not sure how you feel about the way your warnings about Queen Chrysalis were largely ignored before your brother's wedding, but I'm writing to you to express how deeply sorry I am for not trusting you. For years, I have proudly called you my most faithful student, yet when it mattered most, I did not have any faith in you.
But even though I failed you, you did not fail me, and much more importantly, you did not fail Equestria. So the time has come for me to learn a lesson of friendship. Indeed, Twilight, there are times when the teacher can learn something from the student.
Just as I hope you can forgive me, my most faithful student, I hope you can bring yourself to forgive your friends. As close as you six are, I'm sure you m

This feels like such a weird, yet necessary chapter to me for some reason. :-/
The Derby has many factors that uphold its superior reputation such as its exquisite culinary dishes and breath-taking atmosphere. But the most publicized reason for its popularity was the famous guests that attended it. Every celebrity pony one could name had gone to the highly acclaimed restaurant and filled the walls with autographed pictures as proof. It had lovely views from the French-style windows which provided beautiful scenery of Los Pegasus and yet the seating gave the renowned ponies just enough privacy from passing civilians. The cyan customer placed her fork onto her place and rested her elbow on the table while propping up her head to glimpse at her company.
"That's awful what they are saying in the papers," the lavender unicorn commented, scooping up her soup, "What are you going to do?"
"Top Boss says to just lay low for a while and roll with the punches," Rainbow replied, "These thin

There was only one word to describe the night they had just experienced: chaos. It had started out as the best night ever, but as the Grand Galloping Gala had fallen apart, so went the ponies' dreams with it. But of the six friends, one of them was practically suffering, tormented by the events that had transpired. Unbeknownst to the others, she had re-experienced a nightmare from years laid to rest, years long since forgotten. However, it certainly didn't show on her face as they all walked into a donut shop, exhausted from their crazy night.
Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Spike all sat around a table in the donut shop, talking about the night and laughing at each other's misadventures. Currently, Rarity was regaling them with the tale of Prince Blueblood.
"I assure you, he was a prince in name only. I never met a more self-centered stallion in all my life! He even insulted Applejack's

It was a cold and windy day of autumn, colder than the weather ponies had predicted, but the sun was high in the sky and warmed the ponies from its glow. Like everyday, ponies tended to their tasks. Some enjoyed the coolness of the breeze while reading a delightful book, some worked hard to buck the very last apples off the branches before the freeze, and others were tucked inside sipping some warm cocoa. Like everyday, ponies had their ups and downs; a humongous party for a loved granny, a foal tripping on a rock calling for her mommy. Each and every pony concerned by the events of their daily life.
It had been a full month since her the local mailmare had taken a day off, the very first she ever took one would tell you. None had ever known the true reason for it, nor would anypony ever know for sure. All of them were glad of course when she would return and deliver again the letters and precious packages, the day right after. Only a single day had passed but it was enough for many to

Exile (Part Two)
Stars tumbled through the sky. The Princess of the Night lay in the castle courtyard alone, watching her carefully crafted heavenscape. It brought no relief to her. Her insides were cold; she felt empty. Her mind was filled with regretful and stinging thoughts. She should have spent more time with Celestia. She should have kept a closer eye on her. She should have been the one who disappeared. She should have, she should have, she should have. In the end she hadn’t.
One star reminded her somewhat of herself... The pole star. It was one of only two of its kind. They were opposites, to be sure, but both shone brightly. All the other stars revolved around them. The pole stars never moved. Apart but equal. One could never see both at the same time. If only...
An idea struck Luna. She stood up and brushed the grass off her coat. As she closed her eyes, a blue glow surrounded her horn. Far over the hor

Soarin shook where he stood, his eyes clenched shut. He knew himself. He knew that most of the time he was calm, but when things got out of hand, they really got out of hand. But he hadn't thought he was capable of this. Of frightening, of hurting a friend. He was just dramatic, right? Just a drama king... Not a monster. A monster, a bad pony, somepony who couldn't be trusted to reign in his emotions, to keep control of himself. Soarin felt as if his mind was hurt, being wounded by conflicting feelings. He hugged himself against the internal onslaught, hunching his shoulders, as if that would help.
Then, as if by a miracle, the emotions went away. Leaving something worse in their wake. Numbness, numbness and misery, that was all that was left behind. He didn't think he would cry anymore. So he opened his eyes, because the outside world couldn't be crueler to him then the inside of his head.
Leaves. Leaves on a willow tree, which swayed in some breeze he couldn't feel. The cl

Chapter 3: The fate of the alicorns
"I don't know what you are talking about" Shiron said trying to avoid Princess Celestia's eyes.
"You are an alicorn just like my sister and me. Our bodies are different than the bodies of all other creatures and not matter if it is because of an injury or a spell, amnesia of an alicorn will only last a few days, a week at most" she explained.
Princess Celestia tried to keep a soft and calming voice although it became more and more difficult. She didn't want to make Shiron feel uncomfortable but she felt something strange. The way Shiron acted the sound of his voice and most important the look in his eyes was somehow familiar to Celestia. She knew she had seen those eyes somewhere but it was difficult for her to remember.
"Even if this is the truth" Shiron responded "why would it be wrong if I'll try to forget about my past?"
Princess Celestia realized that the sound of Shiron's voice had changed. This wasn't the voice of a nervous pony anymore

Sundown's final warming light
Eve of colder winter night
Ahead of the frost evade the storm
Seek shelter under strained bonds
Wind's howl outside
Spirits gather around as old ties fall apart
Once we had a haven of peace
We all had homes where live in bliss
Now all in ruins of selfish deeds
Drowned in the sea of hostile feels
Shelter torn by narrow minds
Bitter words, offending lines
Dispute's voice, the discordant tone
All wondrous notes for the discord's song
Spite frozen still
Spirits' howl outside
Their winds bring deadly frost
Find solace in embrace of strangers
Seek redemption for heart
Evoke the spark of hearth-warming light
Amend discordant deeds with the tears of love
Link healed in tears
Turns frost away
A bond tied in fire of friends warms our hear

A AppleDash story...
It was a average day in Pony Vile, there was going to be a storm today so Applejack was busy bucking as many apples as she could before the storm hit. Her brother Big Mac was with tacking Granny Smith to her appointment to check her blood pressure, meanwhile Rainbow Dash was busy filing up the left over holes in the sky, her last one was near Applejacks barn, but when she was finished and about to leave it started raining, she was to far from her house to make it back before it started poring so Applejack brought her inside the barn, but with Big Mac and Granny Smith in the doctors and AppleBloom was with Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle at Fluttershys, the two ponies were all alone...
AJ: Boy its dark, ah'll go light one of the lamps we got in the back.
RD: Yeah, that'll be sweat. *Rainbow notices there's no one else in the barn and gets nervous* Uhh... what a storm hope every one else got home in time.
AJ: Yeah, lucky you were close enough to get in the bar

Candlelit the night
For a party of lone reject
Her treats denied
Dismissed behind her back
They left her out
Upset she lies, caters the fest
Abandoned she feasts
They liked her, enjoyed her games and plays
Like leper now
Those backstabbers, liars,
Cowards, avoid her
Alone you're left
alone you're left alone you're left
alone you're left alone you're left
"Why won't they care without my friends I've nothing left "
Alone you're left you empty soul alone you're left you worthless soul
To fill the emptiness
She feigns the pain inside
Aching heart caters the fest
With puppet plays
Abandoned she feasts

Fluttershy was headed back to the rendezvous point from checking to see if Rainbow Dash had returned home. She was not really paying attention as the winter storm raged around her when suddenly something ran headlong into her. Fluttershy landed in a snow bank with whatever had run into her. The scared pegasus pony went stiff as a board because she was scared of whatever had hit her. She could hear a shifting in the snow near her head when suddenly something appeared right in front of her face! Fluttershy attempted to run off in fear when Pinkie Pie grabbed her head.
"Sorry I ran into you Fluttershy!" said Pinkie Pie about 1 inch away from Fluttershys face. They looked at each other for a split second before Fluttershy quickly pulled a way and retreated a few feet turned to opposite direction from her. Pinkie Pie than thought, 'Oh no I must have really scared her." She than said, "Fluttershy I'm really sorry for scaring you, are you ok?"

The three ponies stood there in the back room of the boutique while Twilight Sparkle scrambled to come up with anything which could be considered an answer.
However, Rainbow Dash gave her no time to answer, continuing to pile on questions, each one stabbing at Twilight with more sharp pain than any knife could ever produce.
"Why are you here?"
"What do you want?
"Can't you see Rarity and I are busy?"
Twilight, immediately regretting her intrusion, was still unable to speak. It was Rarity who broke through the awkward silence.
"Um Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle? Is something the matter?"
Rainbow answered first, "No."
Twilight finally managed to squeak out a few words to explain her presence.
"No I mean yes I mean . everything's fine. I've come to talk to Rainbow Dash about something she needs help with. You see---"
"Oh, no," Rainbow Dash thought. There was no way she was going to let Twilight tell the whole world what she had shared with her. She interrupted befor

Soarin beat his wings, forcing them to carry his body for just a minute more. He gritted his teeth, straining to give no sign of how much this pained him. If he was going to lead the squad, this pretense of invincibility was necessary. The acting captain coasted on an updraft, using its energy to glide in to the training field. From what he could see, the team was already there, with the exceptions of Fleetfoot and Spitfire.
The squad hung around in bunches on the field, lazing about. Surely the stallions should be a bit more skittish than this? But what he had thought to be a violent panic had, in fact, merely been a localized pocket of mayhem. The stallions here hadn't been affected, although they seemed to be more alert than the mares; everypony here was unaware of what had happened over at the other side of the base. Well, that would change pretty quickly. Gossip spread fast here. He'd better take the chance to tell them the truth now, before the stories reached them.

Knock knock knock.
The quiet knocking on the window broke the near-silence in the cottage. Fluttershy blinked her eyes open, sitting up and stretching before looking to her window to identify the source of the noise. She wasn't all that surprised to see her best friend Rainbow Dash hovering just outside, the light of the moon lighting up her multicolored mane. Her expression was also what she expected; she looked troubled, tired, even a little embarrassed. Fluttershy held back a smile and quickly made her way over to the window to unlock it and swing it wide open.
"Hey," Rainbow greeted her, brushing her mane out of her eyes briefly.

It was cold winters day at sweet apple acers, and the day looked to maybe develop some snow. A breeze came over the farm and nearly blew Apple Jacks hat off. She quickly grabbed it and put it back on her head. Apple Jack was sitting near the barn, and having just finished her work for the day and was contemplating what to do. She glanced up at the clouds in the sky and let out a long breath seeing it stream out in front of her because of the winter chill. Apple Jack thought to her self, ' I recon I aught to head on down to Ponyville and see what my friends are all up to.' So after carefully putting up all the apples she had gathered she began to trot on down to Ponyville.
Meanwhile in Ponyville Pinkie Pie was jumping up and down even more excitedly than usual. "Hey hey Dashie look! It's starting to snow! See see see see seeseesee!!!!!!" said Pinkie Pie as she leapt up trying to catch a snowflake in her mouth. Rainbow Dash quickly leaped up and pulled Pinkie back into the bus

"Jackie " Joan muttered out in a fit of tiredness. "It's too early Jackie." She said not even opening her eyes, and then she rolled over and off of the bed. Plopping onto the floor like Icarus with melted wings. She didn't move but opened her eyes up. There bouncing in front of her was her daughter, her little muffin. "Alright Jackie I'm up." Jackie continued to bounce about happily her blonde mane swooshing around with every movement. Joan held up a simple smile towards her.
