After the Apple family's loss of Applejack Apple Bloom spent less time with the Cutie Mark Crusaders and more at home with her brother. Losing Granny Smith and Applejack made the workload on the farm so hard that even Big Macintosh had little time for his only sister. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't get over thinking it might have been her fault had she not been out during a storm. Now all she has has left is her older brother.
"Mornin Apple Bloom."
"No... Five more minutes."
"Heh nope it's almost eight o-clock and we can't you bein late again." Big Macintosh proceeded towards the hallway.
Apple Bloom rolled out of bed ever so slowly her head felt a bag of rocks weighing her down. Each step toward the hallway became smaller until she passed her sisters old room and let out a long sigh, "mornin AJ..."
Suddenly the aroma of something baked caught her attention and made her trot faster towards the kitchen. "Oh Apple Bloom you're up, here I made breakfest." Rainbow Das
Wishing On RainbowsI told her not to go; lots of ponies did. I told her it was dangerous, that most of us didn't know what lay beyond Equestria's borders. I remember how it all started. It was just a few days after the 'Iron Pony' competition she and I had. We never did decide on a winner. I accused her of cheating, while she made it clear our rules were not.
"You never said I couldn't use my wings!"
"I didn't think I needed to tell you to play fair!"
The two of us just got so caught up in the competition. If I knew it was going to lead to me never seeing her again, my best friend, I would have never let myself lose my cool.
But I didn't know, and now she's gone.

Discord couldn’t help but laugh. He’d won! Celestia and Luna were nowhere near to be seen, the wielders of the Elements had been corrupted, but this was the moment where he could declare victory! Defeating the will of Celestia’s prize pupil had been the real challenge, and there were moments where even he doubted her vulnerability to the forces of chaos. He laughed again. He should have known better than to doubt himself.
He watched Twilight Sparkle walk dejectedly back to her library, her gaudy and powerless tiara the only trace of color left on the unicorn. He’d have almost felt sorry for her...
“...if she wasn’t so boring!” Discord snapped his fingers, and the door to Sugarcube Corner melted away. All this brinksmanship between him and Twilight had made him rather peckish. “What do you have tha

"And so I wanted to say I'm sorry. I truly, truly am. I was just a naïve, stupid, ignorant foal, but my actions hurt you. And I regret that. You don't have to put up with me, or do anything else. But... I'm sorry."
Soarin spread his wings, and stumbled over to the side of the cloud. He knew reliving those memories would be bad. But he'd been unprepared for the raw, clean guilt. The overbearing sadness for days long gone by. He was ready for the long, joyless flight home.
"I forgive you."
A little murmur, just a breath on the wind. But it made his heart stop.
"You were just a kid. It wasn't your fault."
It wasn't your fault. Soarin had never, ever, thought to hear those words. He slumped down, disbelieving. Rainbow Dash trotted up beside him. Soarin couldn't think. The most insignificant details stood out, while the rest of the world diminished. A single star was brighter than the rest. The gala was deserted. The cloud he was sitting on was the only one in the sky.

As Big Mac walked over the last hill on his way back to Sweet Apple Acers, he looked up at the sky and thought about the wonders that could be set in the hevens by just one powerfull pony. He thought about how he had to get up early and start buck'en the south end. He also thought about his mixed feelings for Fluttershy. He tried to push it out of his mind but it keept coming back, his heart was telling to go and take a chance with Fluttershy, but his mind was telling him things like; does she really like me? Will she like me once she gets to know me more? What about the farm, you only get one day a week off and would your friends be understanding of us? Oh, it's useless he finally said to himself, once I get some sleep the answer will come easy as buck'en to an Apple.
Then out of the corner of his eye Big Mac saw the lights of the apple family's farm house from across one of the many apple orchards that were on the farm. He then saw the door to the house open and somepony

"It's so... big."
The word that Fluttershy was really looking for was 'empty', but that assessment sounded a little bit harsh. Still, it was unnerving to stare at a house made entirely of clouds. It wasn't entirely without decoration, of course. Here a column stretched up toward the ceiling, finely crafted in the classical Peloponysian style. There a long bench grew up out of the floor. And off in the next room there was the rainbow pool. But it was all so... sterile, and not at all what she had expected. There were no posters of the Wonderbolts, no clutter, no hastily discarded training equipment, no anything. Fluttershy gave the place another wide-eyed look that shook her rain-soaked mane just enough to send it flopping over her eye. Oh right. No towels, either.
"Um, do you have any way to... you know..."
"To... oh! Not really, no. Usually just let the wind and the sun take care of it, it's easier that way."
Rainbow Dash now found herself s

The three ponies stood there in the back room of the boutique while Twilight Sparkle scrambled to come up with anything which could be considered an answer.
However, Rainbow Dash gave her no time to answer, continuing to pile on questions, each one stabbing at Twilight with more sharp pain than any knife could ever produce.
"Why are you here?"
"What do you want?
"Can't you see Rarity and I are busy?"
Twilight, immediately regretting her intrusion, was still unable to speak. It was Rarity who broke through the awkward silence.
"Um Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle? Is something the matter?"
Rainbow answered first, "No."
Twilight finally managed to squeak out a few words to explain her presence.
"No I mean yes I mean . everything's fine. I've come to talk to Rainbow Dash about something she needs help with. You see---"

Sister I cry to you, please come rescue me
Drowning myself in misery I cannot sleep
Banished to the place where I feel alone
I beg, I pled, I want to come home
I cannot lay my soul to rest
With the empty pain I feel in my chest
My color slowly turning to grey
My patience slowly fading away
I thought you loved me and cared
By telling me you would always be there
But now I see where you lacked
I thought you always had my back
My vengeance growing and turning cold
The days getting older, centuries old
If you don't love me than no one will
I'm tired of feeling sick and ill
The Luna you love is buried away
Tonight shall begin another new day
Nightmare Moon shall rise from hate

Soarin beat his wings, forcing them to carry his body for just a minute more. He gritted his teeth, straining to give no sign of how much this pained him. If he was going to lead the squad, this pretense of invincibility was necessary. The acting captain coasted on an updraft, using its energy to glide in to the training field. From what he could see, the team was already there, with the exceptions of Fleetfoot and Spitfire.
The squad hung around in bunches on the field, lazing about. Surely the stallions should be a bit more skittish than this? But what he had thought to be a violent panic had, in fact, merely been a localized pocket of mayhem. The stallions here hadn't been affected, although they seemed to be more alert than the mares; everypony here was unaware of what had happened over at the other side of the base. Well, that would change pretty quickly. Gossip spread fast here. He'd better take the chance to tell them the truth now, before the stories reached them.

Pinkie Pie opened her eyes. Sunlight streamed through the curtains in her small bedrooms above the cakeshop. Mr. and Mrs.Cake had been very kind in letting her stay here, she loved to bake, and this place was heaven
The pink pony stretched her forelimbs with a yawn and climbed out of bed. Looking out the window she noticed it was a beautiful day. After the storms they'd had to clean out the last remnants of the parasprite debris, it seemed the Pegasus Ponies had decided to give ponyville some sun. She chuckled to herself, filled a saddlebag and set off down stairs.
Mrs.Cake was down in the kitchen, as she always was in the morning, making the fresh sweets. Mr.Cake came around the corner and met Pinkie on her way down.
"Hiya Pinks! How are you this fine day?" His voice was filled to the brim with the good nature he always seemed to have. The laugh lines at the corners of his snout stretched as he smiled.
"Tip-tip-terrific, Mr.Cake!" She smiled at the old colt. "I'm going out today, is t

Knock knock knock.
The quiet knocking on the window broke the near-silence in the cottage. Fluttershy blinked her eyes open, sitting up and stretching before looking to her window to identify the source of the noise. She wasn't all that surprised to see her best friend Rainbow Dash hovering just outside, the light of the moon lighting up her multicolored mane. Her expression was also what she expected; she looked troubled, tired, even a little embarrassed. Fluttershy held back a smile and quickly made her way over to the window to unlock it and swing it wide open.
"Hey," Rainbow greeted her, brushing her mane out of her eyes briefly.

A sudden jolt scared the pegasus awake. Her mind raced trying to figure out what was going on, but blackness was all Fluttershy could see. What a horrible nightmare she thought to herself. The whole situation was just something she conjured up in her sleep. She attempted to sit up, but her body disobeyed. No matter how much she willed it, not a single part of her would move. That's odd she thought with some concern. Fluttershy then realized what the blackness was. It wasn't night time, she still had her eyes closed. The pegasus tried to open her eyes, but it was as if someone had glued them shut. She dedicated all the energy she could towards the small movement, but to no avail. The pegasus started to panic in her mind. Something was wrong, she knew it, but she wasn't sure what.

The Derby has many factors that uphold its superior reputation such as its exquisite culinary dishes and breath-taking atmosphere. But the most publicized reason for its popularity was the famous guests that attended it. Every celebrity pony one could name had gone to the highly acclaimed restaurant and filled the walls with autographed pictures as proof. It had lovely views from the French-style windows which provided beautiful scenery of Los Pegasus and yet the seating gave the renowned ponies just enough privacy from passing civilians. The cyan customer placed her fork onto her place and rested her elbow on the table while propping up her head to glimpse at her company.
"That's awful what they are saying in the papers," the lavender unicorn commented, scooping up her soup, "What are you going to do?"

Two days have passed; they were going to meet today. It was the day, it was the moment.
Rainbow Dash spent all morning combing her hair, just to look casual, even if it didn't show, she didn't just wake up like that, it took a lot of time of every morning to get it that way, it wasn't easy AT ALL to keep every color in individual locks. She cared about her hair almost as much as Rarity, but she would never admit it. The good part was she didn't need to wear any dress or jacket. It wasn't her style and taking that Scootaloo would wear her childhood leather jacket, she would not go to the date dressing the same way. If they were two of the same, it wasn't cool.
That afternoon she met with Scootaloo and had lunch. Rainbow used that time to give her little fan the last pieces of advice and offered her some bits, but Scoot wouldn't take them.

“Ma’am…” the voice began again, but was cut off as the blue unicorn let out an exasperated sigh.
“The Great and Powerful Trixie HEARD you.”
“Well, I…” the tan waitress stammered.
“Yes, you.” Trixie turned to face her tormenter, adjusting her thick frames with her hoof as the cigarette dangled from her muzzle. “You have deemed it your responsibility to police the entire outdoors, just because your employers have adopted it as part of their overpriced establishment.” She gestured to the other tables in front of the coffee shop, where other ponies huddled, doing their best to stay out of the conflict.
The waitress, clearly uncomfortable with the direction the conversation was taking, tried to deflect.
