Continuing the 'theme' of night shots of the windmill, this one's again named for a nice chill Satriani track: [link]

Just a bit of fun really, this image is a collaboration with an excellent photographer I'm sure many of you will know :iconoctoberlife: ... if you don't then go check out his gallery [link] or his Facebook page [link] he's got some amazing images of aurora and of Canada's northwestern territories. It's as much his image (if not more) than mine... show him some love.

The image is a composite created from 'Starry Night' [link] and 'Emerald City' [link]

The idea for the collaboration came about randomly, I think I mentioned how lame all the light pollution around here is and that I'd kill to have aurora to play with and it kind of went from there... cheers dude for being a good sport and letting me indulge my curiosity :)

By no means is this meant to be believable or realistic, but it was fun making the image and I kind of enjoy the surreal result. Probably move this to scraps later but I thought you might enjoy a little peek...

The Fiery Furnace in Arches National Park. A permit-only maze of sandstone that takes hours to navigate. If one starts early enough, it's fairly easy to spend the whole duration of the hike in complete silence and solitude. Getting lost, and in the process, finding some of the most amazing views in the park, and perhaps the world.
