These wonderfully color-coordinated windows into the very soul of DeviantArt are guaranteed to warm the cockles of my heart every time one trembles its way onto my screen. Black backgrounds, Comic Sans, and tormented critters pave the way to expressing things you previously thought you could never shout out.
I pour over the deepest, darkest secrets you reveal to the world, like "I'm really skinny but I still call myself fat" and, "I secretly hate people" and, "My mom doesn't know I self-harm, unless she uses the internet" and, "Friends are useless" and, "I feel so ignore by you" and, "I'm mean to my friends" and, "Fuck you" and, "Why do people hate me??" and "I'm not Asian".

The Travelling Lemon: Writers' EditionThis randomly came to me. Yay Cabin Pressure! The Travelling Lemon: Writers' Edition4 years ago in Personal More Like This
HOW TO PLAY:
Two players- both must be writers. The first "hider" lists four to seven stories(/chapters) from his/her gallery (depending on length, preferrably fanfictions) that the lemon may be hidden in. Beforehand, of course, he/she has randomly placed the word "lemon" in one of them (NOTE: ONE AND ONLY ONE OF THEM). This can be accomplished by hitting the EDIT>EDIT TEXT buttons on the deviation. The seeker must then look through the stories, until he/she finds the lemon. He/she will then post a comment on whichever deviation the lemon was found in, in this format:
"[sentence/phrase where the lemon was found]" [list of his/her stories where the lemon is hidden]
Taunting sentences such as, "The lemon is in play" may also be added. If the seeker cannot find the lemon, then he/she must admit defeat.
Place the lemon thick in the plot where your opponent will be too busy anxiously reading to notice it

What is it about a fictional character first introduced to the public in Great Britain in 1887 that has kept him being reincarnated, with generationally-correct upgrades, over and over again in film and on television? Who is this literary hero whose portrayal over the past century by such past masters as Basil Rathbone and Jeremy Brett to today’s vanguard talents Robert Downey, Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch has inspired such a continuing outpouring of fan appreciation?

We give them everything. We give them their identities, attitude, genetics, hobbies, wardrobes, relationships, surroundings--the whole works. But what do they give us in return?
Most people may say their characters give them back a sense of accomplishment. Something to do. Entertainment.
While my little darlings give me that, they give me so much more.
They give me ALL SORTS OF PRETTY FEELINGS and disgusting feelings I guess. They make me cry and they make me smile. I particularly listen to the way people freak out over characters in television shows on here and on tumblr mostly on tumblr and while I am no stranger to those sort of feelings, I feel that way about my characters, too! What's that, I hear? Reflections on Doctor Who or Supernatural or the Avengers that go something like MY FEELINGS OH GOD MY LIFE IS RUINED NO PRECIOUS BABBUS OH GOD I WILL NEVER MOVE FROM THIS FETAL POSITION IN THE CORNER OF MY

I think I received 82 birthday messages as well as some amazing presents.
Thank you to everyone. I had a lovely day.

OK, first off, I know we have a contest going on, and many of you are probably busy with that, but I have yet another thing to busy you with; please forgive me.
It is what I am going to call, *The Hiddles Project.*
I was commenting a "letter to Tom" for one of :iconLoki-Hiddleston:'s polls and thought, hey, I have an idea.
So here it goes!
You may write a letter to Tom Hiddleston telling him of how he inspires/has inspired you, how great he is in his films, or whatever you wish to say to him! It can be any length you wish, but I'd prefer if you kept it to a reasonable limit. (Also, please keep it appropriate, people). At the end of the given time period, I will take all of the letters I recieve and post it here on dA as a huge compilation of letters to Tom. Then I will send him the link over Twitter and ~hope hope hope~ like crazy that he clicks it and discovers all of our heartfelt letters.
I wrote him a letter myself and e

I should probably apologise for my somewhat rushed comments
and my overuse of the phrase "look it up"but I just finished sorting though over a hundred new comments. And that's just today's! I think overall there were a 150 answers. I think I replied to you all!
I really appreciate all of the wonderful book suggestions you left me! From what I can remember, the most mentioned books were Good Omens, The Fault in Our Stars, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the Sherlock Holmes collection, the Harry Potter series, the Hunger Games trilogy, and many, many more.
As much as I did overuse the phrase "I'll look those up", I really did mean it. I'm so happy I'm getting my list of Summer reads together; thank you!
Oh, and if you're going to comment with a book suggestion,
My Best Motivational TipWhen I become overcome with the guilt and shame and fear as a result of my constant procrastination, I have one trick to get me off my ass that works every time.My Best Motivational Tip4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Now, lots of other people and blogs and whatever are all like "look how lucky you are" and "puppies and rainbows" and "if you get it done now, you'll feel better" and lots of other positive shit. While all this stuff is true, I'm still playing Assassin's Creed II for like four hours a day. It doesn't motivate me at all. I still don't want to write a 500 word essay on the subtle differences between the book and the film adaptation of The Road that's due, like, tomorrow.
So here's what I think of.
"Michael Bay wants me to fail."
Insert your own celebrity arch nemesis if you want to, but basically choose someone so crap that it makes you angry. Preferably someone who's getting paid buckets of money to do whatever they do to piss you off.
Competitive nature and the desire to prove your chosen asshole wrong should take over.

-Five hours ago, the Facebook page of the Undershaw Preservation Trust posted this.
Undershaw was the house of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and there had been many people trying to save the house, which was in danger of being destroyed.
And now it's saved.
A few of the groups here on DA were asked by the web 'leader' of the organisation to help out, and many people sent out stories to a book being made to help preserve the house.
So-A triumph for the Sherlock Holmes crowd.

My coursework has reached ridiculous levels. For bits of my courses, I'm quite far ahead, but I'm still colouring in parts of my Graphics that I drew in November. It's all a bit wibbly.
I'll still be able to get to dA, but I prooobably won't be uploading much art.
Having said that, one must procrastinate every once and a while, mustn't one?
(Currently listening to 'Game of Shadows' soundtrack. Everything is epic. I feel like I'm in an action movie.)
No other news, really.
I did pre-order the Sherlock Serues 1 soundtrack, but it hasn't arrived yet. D:
I could have just waited till yesterday to buy it off iTunes, but I really wanted the physical copy, for some reason.
Because of all the arty stuff I'm doing for... well, art, I've managed to get back into watercolour-ing, and even a bit of clay modelling. So, you never know. Once I get over this mountain

This new journal thing is pretty bloody awful, isn't it?
I'm extremely very confused. With my confused face.
I've no idea if my gifs are still going to be at the bottom. I hope so.
I don't know what I'll do if I can't see Benedict saying 'LOL-miley face-kiss-kiss-hug'.
Italy's very nice. It's nice to spend some time with family, although I haven't got enough homework done yet.
I leave on Monday, around lunchtime, which gives me...

Two and a bit more days left.
I bought a bag yesterday. I'm convinced that it's bigger on the inside.
So I now have, in all their glory,
- My dimensionally transcendental bag -
- My 'Sherlock coat' -
- My 'John jumper' -
- My gorgeous ankle boots -
I am a bunny of positive euphoria.
October has been renamed 'The month in which many cartoons were drawn'.
Because I've really spent too much of my time drawing cartoons.
But thank you all for the 's.
Why I asked you all to gather together...Why I asked you all to gather together...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I didn't realise you had asked me all to gather together.
Topics of discussion for today:
Sherlock S3 Tease Words: Rat, Wedding and Bow.
Asylum of the Daleks (and Doctor Who Series 7 in general)
Also 'Pond Life', upcoming Doctor Who mini-series
The 'Tease Words' released by Moffat are, I assume, if the last series was anything to go on
AND IT WAS, the words on which the following series will be based. For instance, the Tease Words for Series 2 were, I believe, the Woman, the Hound and Fall. Rat, Wedding and Bow are all we have to go on for Series 3 so far.
Asylum of the Daleks is the name of episode 1 of Series 7 of Doctor Who, airing on the 1st of September.
Pond Life is going to be like a mini spin-off of Doctor Who, with shorter episodes on the life of the Ponds without the Doctor. I think. I'll admit this bullet point isn't as well researched as the others.
Care to discuss?
Oh, and bewar

I was on the second story of a modern apartment building looking out the window when I saw these strange half frog/half human creatures hopping about. They looked to be toddles, and they were being rounded up and killed. I ran downstairs and somehow slipped back in time. The hall was sepia-coloured and lit by candles in the sconces lining the walls. I heard people talking outside my door, so I paused and listened to them saying something about how a great hunter of supernatural creatures had returned, but from their conversation, the man seemed to be very ruthless and didn't care whether the cre

Oof. That's a tough question to start with. I'm gonna go for Tom Hiddleston because I've been in a massive Avengers mood recently.

I don't, I'm afraid.

I would change the fact that I procrastinate far too much.
4. Favorite Avenger character? (Includes Loki, Coulson, Maria)

No, but I have my David Tennant calendar to my left.

Just a little update, for those of you who are interested.
Halfway through week two of Work Experience. It's really fun - I'm in a digital print shop, and it's really tiring, but I'm learning a lot. It is really eating into my time, though. Hence the lack of drawings.
And when I'm not working, I'm most likely at home watching Woman in Black.
Goodness, I thought it was terrifying in a cinema full of people. Then I watched it at home, with all of the lights out and I thought I was going to die. Really amazing film; I love a good ghost story.
Now I've got a couple of things on upcoming art.
I hate calling it 'art'. It's not really art, but it'll do as a label.
I'm probably going to post a photo I took recently, just to see what you think, and to get some feedback. Your comments are always so helpful, so I'll open it up
