Pewdie glanced over and noticed that Cry had been shot. "Cry!" He scrambled over to him, dropping his gun. He put his hands on Cry's shoulders. "Come on, bro. Hang in there!" He put his hands on the wound and pushed.
Cry yelped and grabbed Pewdie's arm.
"You okay?" Pewdie asked nervously.
Cry nodded, biting his lip. "It just hurts, that's all."
"I know...I know it hurts. I'm sorry. Just hang in there." Pewdie took hold of Cry's hand, which was covered in blood.
"Pewds...?" Cry said weakly.
"Y-Yeah?" He gripped Cry's hand tighter as a tear streaked down his face.
"Am I gunna-" He started.
"Don't worry about it, Cry..." Pewdie glanced around. "You'll be fine. Just..." He stood and ran over to a wooden box. He threw the lid off and pulled out some bandages. He ran back to Cry. "I have to sit you up, okay?"
Cry nodded quickly and braced himself.
Pewdie put his arm around Cry's shoulders and pushed his back so he would sit straight

of wonderful pieces of literature written by absolutely fantastic

same person twice.
these are truly some spectacular works and i urge to you take a look! i only pick the best, you know! (;
please take the time to read through each one - seriously, it takes five minutes - and be sure to the journal! (:

International Day of People With DisabilitiesDecember 3rd, for twenty-one years, has been International Day of People With Disabilities and every year strives to promote the understanding of a person with a disability. The day raises awareness to their rights, well-being, and even dignity. While this day may not be well known, the message of this very important day should not be forgotten or overlooked.International Day of People With Disabilities2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
There is no difference between a person with a disability and a person without, they deserve equal treatment and equal consideration in all aspects of life.
"Equality is the soul of liberty; there is, in fact, no liberty without it." -Frances Wright
There are many groups here on deviantART who support and promote art made by people with disabilities:
And for the day I would like to feature some amazing deviants with disabilities (feel free to click links for more information on the disability):

Epilepsy: A BreakdownSo, what exactly is epilepsy?Epilepsy: A Breakdown2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Epilepsy is a common neurological condition that affects about 1 person in every 200. Seizures are the result of a brief, temporary disruption to the usual activity of the brain. Reasons can include brain damage, scarring, chemical or hormonal imbalance, or tumors. There are many types of seizures – what happens before, during and after a seizure depends on which part of the brain is affected and how far the disruption spreads. Most seizures are over in a few minutes or less and the person recovers quickly. Epilepsy can affect anyone, of any age or race, either sex and from any walk of life. However, the majority of people with epilepsy respond well to treatment and can get on with their lives.

Experiences of epilepsy and of having seizures vary from person to person.

Since I've had seizures recently...There are over 30 different types of epileptic seizures. I've had epilepsy for 18 years now (diagnosed at age 11) and have experienced about a dozen different types. Many don't even have names; you know them when you see them or experience them. It can be scary, but sometimes I'm not even aware one occurred and just go on with what I was doing. Other times I'm completely or partially blind for several hours afterward, have a severe migraine that nothing seems to fix, sleep for 12-18 hours, or am really disoriented. Sometimes a combination of these. I've learned to live with it; it's a part of my life as much as breathing is.Since I've had seizures recently...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Here's a list of my seizures and what they tend to look like. You can look up videos of seizures on youtube and find out for yourself what it looks like. Keep in mind these are not funny. I have extensive nerve, muscle, and brain damage from my seizures. My memory is shot, I can't tell if something r
Make it Glow: A Photoshop TutorialThis is also a rebloggable Tumblr Post!Make it Glow: A Photoshop Tutorial3 years ago in Personal More Like This
A lot of people were asking me how I did the glowing/neon light effects on my last drawing. It's actually extremely easy, and it looks great with shapes or text.
The key to this effect is contrast. Your background and overall image must be pretty dark for it to be effective. You know how you can't see a flashlight in broad daylight? The same applies here.
Step one, make a new document, and invert the default black background (command + i) or manually fill it with black. Then make A NEW LAYER. This is the layer containing the colors you want to glow.
Now duplicate the layer you just made with the colors. Set the layer style to "screen." Screen applies the layer to make everything below it lighter. (It's the opposite of the "Multiply" setting.)
Now apply a "Gaussian Blur" fi

Epilepsy and being a burdenI understand I bother you guys with music far too often. I'd like to share this song though because it centers around epilepsy, something I've always struggled with. I found this piece of music a while back, years even, but it breaks me down every time. Might just be because I'm epileptic, but I've always found it beautiful. The artist sings about his epileptic son and the toll it takes on him and the mother to support a child with such needs and how they probably wouldn't change their son despite his condition, because it's revealed the best in everyone. I feel like it's practically the story of my family and epilepsy sometimes. And that hurts and comforts at the same time. I didn't want to be a burden, but here I am.Epilepsy and being a burden1 year ago in Personal More Like This

Daily Deviations: How to SuggestI constantly find that many deviants, new and otherwise, simply do not know how to suggest a Daily Deviation.Daily Deviations: How to Suggest7 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Just to make sure we are all on the same page here:
Info to Know
The only rule applied to Daily Deviations is that a deviant may not receive more than one Daily Deviation within a period of three months.
All deviants, regardless of popularity, are eligible to receive Daily Deviations.
Popular deviants are still deviants and will not be disqualified on the mere charge of being popular from receiving a Daily Deviation.
Any deviation may possibly receive a Daily Deviation.
This is regardless of the amount of views or favorites it has garnered.
You are ALLOWED to suggest YOURSELF. Just don't abuse this.
The following are not rules on how to suggest Daily Deviations but rather guidelines that help staff capable to select Daily Deviations better and more quickly process suggestions.
The Forest of OctoberThe Forest of October4 years ago in Personal More Like This
The memories that now rests in this forest
Forever shadowing the sunrise of my heart
Wings leave their nest at my coming
Swaying away unto the cold glowing sky
Dreaming away for a while
My spirit sighs in peace
Gazing unto the stars
Please, take me there
I am so alone, so cold
My heart is too scarred to glow
I wish the sunrise to come
Take my soul (away)
From this cold, lonely shell
I am free
From the eternal sea I rose
Veiled in darkness on either shore
Lost my pride, lost its glow
For me the sun rose no more
The forest of October
Sleeps silent when I depart
The web of time
Hides my last trace
My blaze travel the last universe
Like the sights of magic
Wrapped in aeons

November is Epilepsy Awareness MonthCheck out The Epilepsy Foundation website for information.November is Epilepsy Awareness Month3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Epilepsy has many different causes. Illness, fever, drug abuse, hormones, genetics, cancer, tumor, head injury, or just out of the blue.
Some rare cases can be cured with brain surgery. Very rare, and usually applies only to children. Their brain hasn't fully developed where things go and how things work. Whatever part gets removed the rest can compensate for. For adults this isn't really an option except in the most severe cases, and only if the seizures take place in a specific part of the brain.
My seizures are genetic, as are my sister's, and two of my cousins. I don't qualify for surgery because my seizures are deep in my brain, and occupy both frontal lobes. I was offered the option of having a device similar to a pacemaker surgically installed into my chest with a wire going up to my brain. I s
