"This moment has come.
Finally, the battle shall end.
Go now, my warriors, the throne awaits!
The throne of heavens and glory for ever!"
By the rising sun
on two sides they stand,
on each of them
are hearts aflamed.
The warriors strike,
blood is all around.
between the light.
Steel cutting air here and there,
bodies falling down one by one.
Shouts and battlecries echoing
on the stony walls all around.
Fire, the warmth of willing hearts,
the song of night and of hope.
Ice, the chilling souls from the grave,
melody of death and of pain.
Their echos a concerto
of ages and of blood,
the eternal symphony of fire and ice.
Sounds all around the battlefield,
the throne of ice singing to
the warriors dead.
The enchanted blades and cursed sword,
silver armour against magical runes,
dance in circles all around,
dances the fire, dances the ice.
"This sword of destruction shall drink your blood.
Hasten your doom and come to me!
Keyblade Masters pt 82Chapter 82: The Vanishing Isle.Keyblade Masters pt 825 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
The Keyblade Masters, the Aeons, and Aladdin and his friends were flying full speed towards the Vanishing Isle, eager to help Aladdin's father, and also get the Fire Guard for Gummi.
Roxas, Riku, and Axel's Aeons were bound to the elemental path through the sky they were creating, so they did not have full control in the air. Ixion galloped with Riku on its back, Ifrit ran on all fours with Axel on its back, and Shiva had turned into a sort of motorcycle for Roxas to ride.
Roxas looked extremely uncomfortable, not because of the seat, but because of his position. Shiva's back formed the seat of the motorcycle, and Roxas was forced to lie down in order to mount it. This caused Roxas to be a little uneasy, since he already had a girlfriend.
Axel was on Roxas's left side. He snickered. "Well, Roxas, looks like Naminé's got some competition for you."
"Shut up, Axel." Roxas snarled.
He didn't. "I mean, lots of people would kill to be in your position rig
Solace of Northrend, Part 2The death knight rushed head long into the encroaching undead, one hand grabbing any Alliance idiots in front of her while the other cut down anything undead that came near. A volley of arrows came up from behind her as Belen unleashes his fury. Several arrows caught fire in flight, burning the carapaces of the crypt fiends. The moment Milleuda was finally in front of all the other soldiers, volleys of fire and frost shot into the air. They shattered in mid air, raining both down upon the undead and living of the Scourge. A smirk on her face, Milleuda brought her sword into the air, looking at the damned scour slightly. Some tried to go forward to attack, some tried to flee, and it caused a quick clog. An opening between the soldiers and the Scourge opened, although small. It was enough. She turned the blade down, shoving it deep into the earth.Solace of Northrend, Part 26 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

DarkLady: Nonsense. What gave you that idea?
TirionFordring: the last time you and Vereesa got together didn't you seriously injure her pet?
DarkLady: We were having a pet battle.

The Death Knight, Part 2Akeboshi handed me a parchment, saying it was directions on where to go. I don't know when he managed to write it, perhaps he scrawled it very quickly moments before, but I didn't really care. He also told me the gryphon knew the way to go, but I would have to make stops for it to rest; the first stop would be in Zangarmarsh, a place called Telredor, and the second would be in Blade's Edge at an outpost called Toshley's Station. After that, I would reach Area 52, which is where I needed to make use of the parchment. Of course, I didn't really know the places either, but I was assured the great beast would manage for me. It knew the way quite well. We said our goodbyes as the gryphon took flight and soared northbound. I looked back only for a moment, watching the gnome quickly fade into the distance. The Death Knight, Part 26 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This

"You dare betray us?" said a young woman's voice, with a strong British accent, determined and angry. "We made you great. We made you strong. You were nothing. Nothing but trash. The lowest, dirtiest, most worthless piece of garbage this world could expel from its bowels. Your life was in ruin. You purpose was naught. You had no place in this world. Then what happened? We took you in. We fixed your wounds. We gave you the power for your revenge. We made you great. You changed. You became one of us. You joined our ranks, fought along side us, slew our enemies together. You helped us create Caliope, HallowWraith, and Shinobi. The Death Knight, Part 1It had always saddened me that I never remembered what my life once was. Day after day, traveling the world and fighting against the true threats of it with nothing more than a horse and a pet zombie fighting alongside me, I pondered my past life. In rare times I would get minor flashes of my home, some sign of who I was, but they made no sense. It was only worse knowing that the only connection remaining to that life, the last person who knew who I was, I had personally killed months before. Back when I obeyed his command. Back before I was freed from that damned Arthas. The Death Knight, Part 16 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Even now those days feel like a blur. The first memory I have was of those times; when I awoke in the necropolis known as Acherus, when I first became a death knight. It was there that I was prepared for a task; the destruction of the Scarlet Crusade.
In a few short days, I had laid waste to all of their armies in and around New Avalon, a feat that surprised even the Lich King. With this utter destruction of the Scarl

"We are getting close, my brother, I can feel it. She let her horse run free three days ago and she cannot hope to outpace us on foot. She needs rest and food and we do not."
The voice, drifting up through the canopy of tree branches, woke me from my light sleep. It was a human voice; or rather it had been a human voice once upon a time. Now it was grey and cold and flat. I suppressed a shudder, willing my muscles into stillness where I lay stretched upon a bough above the trail. Not for the first time I wished I had paid more attention when Brother William tried to teach us about the undead of the Scourge and how to fight them. The intelligence about not needing to rest was unwelcome.
"Well then, what do you intend once we have found her?" This voice was lighter, but no less cold. "We have pursued her for nigh on to two weeks. Shal
Deathwing's SanityI can see. Despite these eyes, burned away to cinders by my own anger ages ago, I see things as they could be, should be, might have been. The folly is mine, I suppose. My paranoia, and my lust for power, and the greatest of all so close to my hands. Rare are moments of such clarity for me, this strange madness taken so strongly a hold of my mind. My body no longer mine, taken and tortured into a body of artificial armor, stronger than even the scales that used to cover my form. Somewhere inside, I know my heart still beats, this new fire pulsing thru my veins in lieu of my own blood. It burns everything, even myself. I can feel it destroying me slowly. The Death Knight, Part 4A fast march would've taken only two days to reach our destination. We ended up taking a week, though. We arrived to a well built outpost, where the Protectorate waited for us. More than enough tents had been set up, though whether this was because of their own kindness or a ploy to trick lookouts into thinking they had many more, I couldn't say.The Death Knight, Part 46 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
As the groups settled in the fight would not be for another few days the leaders of each group, including myself and Swiftforce, all came together to discuss our strategy. I didn't really contribute much, instead choosing to observe. Of them all, Saeed and Hitohira seemed to have the best experience with strategy. Karja knew enough to keep up, while Thalodien seemed a bit confused at their pace; often Karja had to explain things to him. He wasn't much of a "planning" person, I surmised.
Of course, it was Toshley that surprised me. For an engineer, he had a good grasp of things, and on a few points he proved to be more intelligent
One of these Knights - 2Chapter 2 - Rock 'n RollOne of these Knights - 25 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
The land was rugged and harsh, offering little in the way of water or shade to the inexperienced traveler. Fortunately, my mother the worthy huntress, had trained me to look for the signs that indicated hidden pools in the mountain crags and how to hunt and prepare the dangerous desert creatures for food. I snatched rest when I could, walking on barren rock in hopes of concealing my trail, and traveling by night to hide any betraying dust clouds from my feet. The frosty charger I had "borrowed" from Koltira had carried me an entire day, only vanishing once I dismounted to drink and eat. Now I travelled on foot, settling myself into a long hunter's lope to cover as much ground as possible. This was a cruel and nearly-barren country, a fit place for the dragonkin and other wild creatures that lived here. Fire elementals stalked the deeper fissures in the earth, so I kept to the higher places
The Death Knight, Part 5Two weeks passed by before Furis and I finally set foot back on Shattrath ground. We spent a week at the throne, where I have no recollection of what happened. All I can tell you is that they had me sit at the base of a waterfall, the water cascading just behind me. I went into a trance of sort, and I awoke a week later. The Death Knight, Part 56 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Not a damn memory had returned; at least not to me.
When I awoke, the shaman did confirm for me who I was before, the night elf known as Ireth, but that was all she would say. After that, she didn't say much at all to me. I could tell that something was bothering, no doubt that had occurred during my week of unconsciousness, but she wouldn't give even the slightest hints. Even the elementalists were giving me a cold shoulder, seeming a bit relieved when we finally left.
The trip was quiet. Unlike before, where we charged with all our speed, we took our time this time. I took the chance to watch the land, to see the lush fields of green while the natural wildlife of the

Chapter 1: Appearances Part II of II"So you admit he's back to-" Leander started, but it was Koshei's turn to shoot him a look. The paladin quieted back down, though he did so rather unhappily. "There is a belief that he is connected with the disappearance of specific corpses and prisoners. Possibly for the use of blood magic."
Koshei was careful to stress the word 'belief,' trying to get across to her that they didn't have any actual proof and it was only speculation. Hopefully she would continue to firmly deny the accusations. Honestly, Koshei didn't even care if they were true or not. It was their own business.
"Would you be willing to clear up any of these incidents?"
"Yes, he's back to his voodoo practice," Yarifeth snapped back. There was no secret in that. They had been performing services openly as of late. The accepted ones, at least. "Is that illegal? Shall we go over to the

Meiles leaned on Jin'thekk's door frame, smoking his thin, long handled pipe as he stared at his son who was working on his crafting at a highly accelerated speed. He knew what it meant the boy was working through an emotion.
"So wat ye cryin' about now?" the older troll asked, taking a puff.
"Get yer ugly face off me doorway, old man," came the reply. "Ye be blockin' me sun."

I screamed as the dragon's claws enfolded me. Its hands were nearly as long as I was tall, each scaled finger ending in a wicked talon. The scales on its body shone red-gold even though the sun had set behind the forest canopy. Blasts of wind swept over us as the dragon backwinged to a soft landing.
Thassarian raised his sword, eyes burning the same color as the flames wreathing his blade. "She has been claimed by the Lich King. Surrender her to us," he growled.
The dragon rumbled like distant thunder. It moved its hands, shifting them and me away from the death knight. From my position near its shoulders, I could see its arched neck. It rumbled again. It's laughing?
"Tell young Master Arthas patience is a virtue." It spoke Common with precision.
It gripped me with odd gentleness and plucked me from the ground, peeri

"What has happened?" Thassarian found his voice echoed oddly into the gloom of the chamber in which he lay.
"We seem to have fallen into a cavern far below the reach of the dragon, or else you and I would not be speaking now." Koltira's dry voice came from somewhere above his head. A moment later, the elf moved into his field of vision, looking somewhat the worse for wear. Much of his armor was missing and his upper torso and arms were bandaged. Another dressing around his head gave him a piratical air. He eyed Thassarian quizzically. "Are you well?"
"Well enough, considering." He checked his right arm. "It was clever of you to make a splint of my sword. My arm is nearly mended and the bones feel straight."
Koltira shook his head. "That was not me, my brother. I awoke just a minute ago to find myself covered in bandages. &

Pain, persistent as dragon claws, dragged me into wakefulness. Nausea struck instantly as I opened my eyes. I slammed my eyes shut, but the nausea did not stop. Fighting back a groan I offered up a quick prayer for self-healing to the Light. The response was mercifully swift; the nausea abated and my initial agony subsided a little. Once again I tried to open my eyes. This time they stayed open long enough to note that the chamber in which I lay was suffused with a pale blue-green luminescence. I blinked into the soft gloom, picking out the details. Some of the glow came from mushrooms growing along the edges of the stone walls and some from blue-green lichens. The chamber was pleasantly cool and I did not see any red glow that might indicate a magma chamber. That was a relief as I was quite sure the black dragon could have easily used it as a road to searc
Chapter 1: Appearances Part I of IIOrgrimmar was hot. Well, it was always rather warm, even in the winter. Something about this day, however, was especially stifling. Perhaps it was this assignment to track down and investigate a pair who had supposedly been practicing an outlawed sort of voodoo. Apparently it involved using blood. Every source, however, had been an Alliance corpse. Koshei could see nothing objectionable about this. A dead Ally was lucky it wasn't torn apart by wild boars. What did they care what the bodies were used for?Chapter 1: Appearances Part I of II3 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
The 'mission,' however, was not the largest thorn in the elf's side. Slowly, Koshei glanced over at the paladin standing next to him. Leander.
"Looks like they finally split up. She's heading down the drag probably towards the Valley of Wisdom," Leander observed, shielding his eyes with a hand. "Unless you'd rather go after that monster of a troll."
The paladin grinned, elbowing him in the side. Koshei struggled to keep from rolling his eyes. Leander was his superior by tw

The Oblivion Gate was something very new, very strange and very demoralizing for Hyascinthe. Had Anascia not been with her, the sneaky dark elf would have likely ended up as dinner for the daedroth. The giant, crocodile-like beasts would have taken far too many arrows to take down. Lucky for her, Anascia greeted the monsters with a shield bash to the face in unwavering valor.
Thanks to Anascia, the dark elf not only had her life, she now had knowledge of what to expect with the gates and knew how to get rid of them. Perhaps even more important, Hyascinthe was able to watch Farwil Indarys tuck his tail and run in the other direction to get away from her. The poor thing seemed to have forgotten his oath to court her. All in all, it was a good thing: Farwil left the gate up to more experienced fighters and returned home. Anascia made true to her word, so the Count would surely offer aid to Bruma.
The only thing that confused Hyascinthe was the fact that this gate wasn't like the one in Kv

The moment she left the ruined walls of Kvatch, she felt an overpowering presence follow her. No matter how many times she tried to hide, the feeling was there. A few times, Hyascinthe used other travelers on the road, shaking the feeling for a while, but the sensation of being followed and watched returned relentlessly. She had been heading east, toward Morrowind and refused to stop and rest, the paranoia of being followed pushing her body forward for days. She eventually had to give in and rest, but it presented another problem.
She had remained close to the road up until Skingrad, where she decided to venture away from the city and prying eyes of other people. It was there that the presence seemed to close in on her and she had pushed herself too hard. Now, she found herself extremely weakened, hungry and cold.
Deciding it was best to gather warmth first, she sought out signs of fire and came upon a small camp owned by what must have been a homeless wretch. With neither remorse nor
