Today, trogs, we are discussing the concept of 'Online Social Expectations' and all the myriad FUCKING INSANITIES that go alongside this!
Ya ever made an online friend who REALLY seemed to flit into the narrative of your life? You know what I am referring to, or stop reading this, walk outside, and dowse yourself in butane and light a cig....
Yeah you sorta 'click' with what appears to be a like-minded soul. Then they turn into...a psychotic douche-nozzle, hell bent on destroying the entire world through brute force post-rape on all social media outlets. Or they email you SEVEN HUNDRED THOUSAND TIMES a day...saying...nothing at all. Or, they literally turn on you, overnight, and show you THE DARK SIDE.
And everything was going SO WELL!!!!!!! [Ohio can burn in hell]
These people make me want to rape elephants.

Lessons Learned: How I Dealt With An Art ThiefEvery day, many people on deviantArt find themselves dealing with art thieves off-site (outside deviantArt). There are many ways to approach this issue, but this article is about how I went about it. I'm only writing this in an attempt to be helpful to others going through the same thing, or give ideas to those going through it who don't know where to start or what to do. Becoming victim to an art ripper isn't a hopeless, helpless situation. Though I was inexperienced with the issue at the time and justifiably angered, I was able to prevail through a mixture of help from other kind deviants, a professional manner/attitude and resources found on the web.Lessons Learned: How I Dealt With An Art Thief8 years ago in Art Features More Like This
My particular case began one day about a week after my first Daily Deviation was given to me by Aeires. Up until that time I was a relatively unknown artist, and was minimally protecting my work with an easily removed watermark. I didn't really think my work was worth stealing, and honestly hadn't thought about what would happen if

I want to gather certain amount of money somehow quickly for some things...
I almost got the money I need for some Prismacolor pencils ; w; )9 and for other things for them (like a block and some drawing articles)
Where I live the shipments are really expensive, and its hard (if not impossible) to get this kind of things : /
So, I want to offer pixel avatar commissions (for now its temporal, depending of how it goes)
:iconda-flecha2:10 us$ per avatar, like my actual avatar :iconDomino-cle:, statics or blinking. *Examples: http://i1020.photobucket.com/albums/af322/Nuuve/-%20Commissions/PIXEL%20Avatar/-REF_CMSN-.gif http://domino-cle.deviantart.com/art/Commissions-Pixel-Avatar-211190098?q=gallery%3Adomino-cle&qo=0
What I can do : like the examples, cute things (?), chibi characters or creatures like Pokemon. I could also do half body portraits.
This is more or less what I can do. I prefer to not do fanart, pokemon related stuff its fine th
Useful Tips on DrawingI am an Art student myself so I cannot promise any genius suggestions, the following factors are some things I came up over the year of drawing. Here I wanna make them into a list so I can always come back to this and use it while I draw. Here i go~Useful Tips on Drawing4 years ago in Personal More Like This
The first step of drawing. Start planning by setting the genre of the piece, do you want it to be animal? people? realistic? fantastic? mostly scenery? no background? color tone? black and white? landscape? portrait? You can even start with a name for the piece if it helps. Gather references for form and color. Do NOT copy any people's work. If you are using people's textures or brushes, make sure to credit them as they asked.
Never rush this part, take your time and assemble the elements into the drawing. Move, turn, stretch things around until they are just the way you like it. Avoid composition problems such as everything's-lined-up or all-squished-together. Try things like overlaying and perspe

Hahahah, for some reason this journal is more popular than my actual artwork.
I'm glad you guys like this little collection of emotes and plz accounts, but I feel like there are so many more comprehensive collections out there! I feel I would do you a favor by redirecting you to one of these instead of letting you fave this one.
From now on I'm just going to use this journal as my own personal collection of favorites, if you don't mind.
Dude, I keep seeing all these cool icon-smilies all over the place, and I keep wanting to use them. But whenever the situation comes up, I can never remember the username. My memory is sad, really. I wish someone would make a list of all the smilies so I could favorite it and be merry.
You know what? I think I'll do it myself.
But not all at once. 'Course, I can't think of all the icons out there off the top of my head. But for every one I see, I'll put on this journal for further safe-keeping.

Holiday Card Project 2013Holiday Card Project 20132 years ago in DeviantArt Announcements More Like This
It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out to patients.
The idea behind the Holiday Card Project is simple: do something nice for others. However, if you're looking for even more incentive, every deviant who submits a card will be given a free one-month Premium Membership to deviantA

Coming OutIt's true, I am Chinese and I was born this way.Coming Out3 years ago in Personal More Like This
At a young age I began to notice this difference. I was attracted to neither boys nor girls. In middle school, I liked math, and in college, I did my homework all night long.
Being Chinese is not a choice, it is genetic. There are risks to being Chinese because society cannot accept the union between a human and a textbook. I have Chinese friends who didn't need sex because they could foreplay instruments and get screwed by O Chem instead. Now, they don't have a social life and are shunned by others.
But fear not, life will get better. I grew up as a Chinese and I am proud of it (just look at my tumblr user name Maid-en-China ). There is the LGBTC (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Chinese) community to help you be comfortable with your Chinese orientation.
1,338,299,512 people came out as Chinese. You are not alone.
