_Knite_ : this way to paradiseIn the event that Minmin lives to join a band and become famous, and Kai and Sen elope to live together in some cozy loft overseas.
Minny's not available right now, but she says she dedicates this to everyone who still has closet-skeletons to throw out. (PENNY, rhythm guitarist of SWALLOWINGS)
Hey, lost boys on a paradise lined with blue
Do you know where my star has fallen?
Even if you are not here
I pray my words will reach you
In the world where you are, can you see me?
Or am I just a part of your past?
There used to be a blind child
Who wished to see colors
Orange, yellow, purplepinkandblue
She wished to meet the painter
That brought her dreams every night
So she sent her star to him
And she's still waiting
When I sent you to chase after my dream
Maybe I wanted you to find the lost boy
Lying amongst its ruins
So you could keep him company
At the time I didn't know that by doing so
I was giving you to him
I could never share my stars
Once there was a naive girl
Who sat by her
Christmas Stars (SS for Lexyranger)It was chilly in Beijing around this time of year. Sen watched out his window at the people walking beneath him. They were probably doing some last-minute Christmas shopping. Briefly, he wondered how Kai was faring over in America. Did he like his new school? Did he have new friends? Did he even remember his old ones? Sen shook off the thought. It wasn't like him to think about the charismatic boy. But then again, he didn't have too much to do lately between the homework and the kites.Christmas Stars (SS for Lexyranger)1 year ago in Short Stories More Like This
The doorbell rang. His stepmother was answering it. There was a boy's voice, probably no older than Sen himself. Maybe they ordered pizza. Sen decided to ignore it; if it was pizza, he wasn't very hungry anyways. He doodled absent-mindedly in the margin of his notebook. A kite, a squirrel, then a goldfish, finally a tiny swallow. He thought he would fall asleep right there at his desk when his door opened. He turned in his chair and saw his stepmother standing there.
"Somebody here wants to see you," she

Snow fluttered down slowly, its tiny flakes gently caressing Kai's cheek as they fell. He smiled and tilted his head back as the sky continued to shower him in puffy wisps of white. Beautiful, the brunette thought, pushing messy locks of brown hair out of his face and adding wistfully, Sen would love it, I bet. Just like his stars.
Kai couldn't help the last thought, nor could he help the way his steps slowed to an abrupt halt. He swallowed heavily, trying to get past the lump that remained lodged in his throat. Sen's stars...
Lifting his gaze slowly, Kai stared past the flurry of snow that had brought him joy moments before. He waited silently, desperate for a glimpse of the swallow dancing and soaring through the sky with its tail of lights following. But there was nothing. Nothing but fluttery whiteness and the cold, dark sky that stretched on beyond the clouds.
"Where is he?" the brunette m
Dreamer's WaltzLing leaned back against the wall, plastic cup of sparkling punch held loosely in her hand as she surveyed the scene and took in the unusual sight of Sen voluntarily attending a social gathering.Dreamer's Waltz2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Well, voluntarily might be a bit strong. In any case, Sen had made an appearance to the Spring Festival party she had helped organize for the school. She smiled, pleasantly surprised, and followed the line of Sen's gaze, to see it directed towards the floor where Kai was currently the center of attention. Kai seemed to be in the middle of telling a joke because he had a grin stretched across his face, causing all of those around him to laugh. People seemed to have a way of being drawn to him.
Ling pushed off the wall and started making her way over to Sen, exchanging festive pleasantries as she progressed around the room. Her arrival was greeted, if that was the word, by a slight twist of Sen's mouth but he didn't move, still leaning against a pillar with a relaxed attitude which Ling k
NaNoWriMo - Swordless Stone - Ch3She bought a bratwurst from a street vendor on the way and wolfed it down with a bottle of water while braving the insistent media. It didn't take long. Her body still felt unsatisfied with the meal and protested silently as she stood at the scene of the crime where the white tape encircled the bloodstained spot and the sword lay unchanged like a heartless king on his throne. Ernest took some notice of it and shifted uneasily, making her dizzy.NaNoWriMo - Swordless Stone - Ch31 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
What's wrong? She asked him. Her knees trembled whenever he fidgeted.
There's a smell... He muttered. Frei, breathe slower and stop trying to see with your eyes.
Puzzled, she knelt down to inspect the floor more closely. She could see where the guard hit the ground. She tried to reconstruct the fall in her mind, factoring in the autopsy results that showed the guard's temple made contact with the side of the sword case. He was trying to stand between his attacker and the case. Why?
