This my entry to DeviantArt "Face your Monster" contest. It was great fun for me to damage and tweak my face. I'm not used to do grunge and disturbing things. But doing it on my own face was delightful! As usual, Photoshop with a photo reference of myself. Step-by-step here : gizmoatwork.deviantart.com/art…
I have always wanted to do mask making and NOW IT IZ HAPPENINGGGG.
this is a resin base with a latex skin
the jawset is completely made by me out of another mold.
I'm going to add some lips and eyelids and such maybe even nostrils with some epoxy sculpt that I just got in the mail.
I still kind of want him to be a werewolf :/ which the eyes don't really work well for that. but I am also working on making my own follow-you eyes so... I'll probably pull these out and replace them with a more rad set of wolf eyes!!!!
OKAY SERIOUSLY?!?! I REALLY don't know why It keeps rotating this picture on me??!!?!?! wtf is that about?!?!
FYI this is supposed to be straight. but DA is being odd or something... but anyways...
this will be for sale soon!! I'm going to attempt to fabricate it.
I have to find masking tape somewhere in a box out in the garage *cries*
I have to make the masking tape pattern on him to get what I want to do.
once that's done I can sew it together and hot glue it on! I have ears cut out of simple craft foam as well.
I'm going to be using scrap furs and fabrics for this which is perfect anyhoo haha.
that eye there is courtesy of l_hiver over on FA!!! for graciously sharing her costuming secrets with me
it's a red led eye. I just got some components a couple days ago from radioshack so I think I should be able to hook it up!!
the elastic straps are adjustable. I drilled four slits. in three parts of the mask. one on each side and one top center. the elastic hooks up from the inside all the way at the furthest slit, back through the second slit out the third slit and back again through the last slit to the inside. it holds well against the pull of the elastic around your head.
I'll probably put this on furbuy after it is finnished, I'll add a tail and some gloves too I think so I might start the bid at $300 and see where it goes from there.
