Dr. Two Brains glanced up and around from where he’d been standing at his well worn work table, contriving to think up something innovative and original to create that no one, not even himself, had ever thought up before. That was the moment when he felt the not-too-distant rumbling, all the way from across town where his lair was, in an abandoned warehouse in one of the city's more colorless and definitely disreputable vicinities.

Becky Botsford was sitting at her desk in English class pondering things other than English, as she was the first to finish the quiz sheets which had been passed around just three minutes ago and had double-checked hers as well. She now was fully absorbed in listening to the ticking of the plain, plastic white-faced clock hanging on the wall above the chalkboard, and the sound of pencils scraping on paper, along with an occasional whisper which she knew she could only hear because of her supernatural ability. If the teacher could hear, she gave no sign of it.
Ms. Davis had been her teacher back in fifth grade, and had moved up to teach at the highschool; so now Becky had her again in tenth grade. Ms. Davis was a character- she was a good teacher, smart, and knew how to deal with students using her cheerful, optimistic people skills. The Sound of Monks chanting their prayers would be considered noise by some people. But to Sarkin it was music.
The Vulcan's eyes snapped open, he had just been having a fascinating dream in which Chief Rami admitted that he was her superior.

His shelves held a number a various objects. A small Statue of Surak, a holo image of his mother and father. And a small case that held medals that he received from his time in the Vulcan Defense force.
