"Agent Smith " The man started to place a hand against his brow, but let it drop; he was really getting too old for the job; chasing after young rookies who thought they knew everything the world had to offer. He was going to be in for a surprise; how long it would take, Jerry didn't know; he'd expected it weeks ago.
"I bet it's something scientific; like an alien. Or a zombie. Can we beat up zombies?" the man demanded. "Or do they just fall apart?"
"Zombies aren't dangerous; ghouls are, but they're rare; and yes, you can fight them."
"Cool. That's cool," he grinned. "I think I could do with a ghoul; we can do good with ghouls." He smiled, bright and happy, moving across the road with a little laugh, and a sort of impromptu dance that carried him across the asphalt road. He was heading towards the craters as if he'd never listened to a single one of Jerry's lectures.
Moving faster to catch up with him, he bit back a curse at the pain lancing through his hip.

Art theft is not a crime - say NO to copyrightToday, a DD was awarded to a nice acrylic painting (below left) which was painted from my photo (below right) -Art theft is not a crime - say NO to copyright2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Just about the only thing I don't like about is the strong cyan tint, which seems to be more associated with the photo of the painting rather than then painting itself. Overall it's definitely one of the best derivative works I've yet to see based on my photos. I really enjoyed exploring how all the little details differed between the two.
Rpriet1 did not ask for my permission, or inform me of using my photo. A DA gallery moderator just messaged to ask whether I would like the deviation removed, and the DD revoked. I think most artists who've had their work "stolen" would be outraged, but for me the answer was a very unambiguous no. This is a complicated issue, and I think that the vast majority of the readers will disagree with me at this point, so let me explain my position carefully.
The concept of intellectual property, the way it ex

Street Photography: To Lo And Behold!Street Photography Quiz:Street Photography: To Lo And Behold!3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
When was the last time a random passenger in a bus made your jaw drop?
Happens with me all the time!
Whenever I go out into the streets, I never plan on what I'm going to shoot, nor do I have a particular theme in mind.
Mind you, planning ahead is highly benefical to a Street Photographer or any photographer for that matter - a practice that almost always yeilds excellent results when properly utilized.
For me, it's just the sheer excitment of stepping into a vast concrete jungle, unsure about what's around the next corner, or perceiving an event that is about to unfold before you, the sound of your heart beating as you walk/run towards the developing scene - all the while hoping that you get there in time to take... that one shot, that ultimate payoff; is all that matters.
Sometimes you could be standing there observing a street scene when you begin to notice things falling into place; a photo opportunity forming right before your very eyes.

I have always loved anthologies. Growing up in Britain 95 percent of the comics were weekly anthologies so it has been firmly ingrained in my psyche.
I've always felt that anthologies are a good platform for experimentation, trying new ideas and styles, introducing new talent and especially good to read in the bathroom. I'll never forget the impression Heavy Metal had on me when I first saw it.
They're perfect for those moments when you've read through the 100 comics you've bought that month and realized there wasn't a single complete story in the pile.
I've recently relaunched two previously successful anthologies, A1 and MONSTER MASSACRE.
I have also been enjoy
God gives you the desirePhilippians 2:13God gives you the desire1 year ago in Personal More Like This
13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Are you trying to earn God's approval? Jesus did away with that when He became sin for us. You don't have to strive to please God; He already loves you. Instead, live in His light, find freedom in Jesus and learn to love God. As you do, you'll discover that God gives you the desire and power to obey him.
Sowing to the SpiritFrom Alienation to ReconciliationSowing to the Spirit1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Sowing to the Spirit
In all our daily choices, we either "sow to the flesh" or "sow to the Spirit" (Gal. 6:8). With our actions and thoughts, we plant seeds that affect what kind of person we're growing into and the level of impact our lives will have for God.
"The flesh" is the part of us that wants to live and act independently of the Lord. As humans, all of us have to deal with the pull of this attitude; we don't lose it automatically when we're saved. However, the Holy Spirit frees us from slavery to the flesh. He begins to change us so we can turn from the deceptive lure of livin

Halloween is not the only time for scary. We're heading into camping season (okay, some places are already there), and ghost stories are the norm. Imagine being gathered around a campfire out in the middle of nowhere in the midd
10 Lessons from an Atheist by Carl Kerby10 Lessons from an Atheist10 Lessons from an Atheist by Carl Kerby4 months ago in Personal More Like This
by Carl Kerby
When faced with the mocking rants of atheists and God-haters, our natural temptation is to dismiss them as ignorant bigots or to get angry. But that’s not Christ’s way. Christians who follow the Lamb’s example will find His Spirit shedding light in the most unexpected places.
Recently I was asked to watch a TV show that I would otherwise never have turned to. The show is hosted by two illusionists, Penn & Teller. Talented but very crude.
I reluctantly viewed two episodes poking fun at creationists and the Bible. My goal was to pull out their specific arguments and prepare responses that I could use in my worldview talks at churches and conferences.
Afterward I wanted nothing more to do with this program or these men. Their blatant disrespect for the Bible and my Savior angered me. To be honest, I was hardhearted toward them and said in my mind, “If I were ever to see them, I would

Take your art to higher lever in 4 simple steps!
For people who are serious about drawing and want to make career in art! And for me to stop getting questions on how to practice, or how do you get better
Are you stuck and don't know how to carry on making great art?
You just want to draw better?
If an answer to any of these questions is 'yes' then you might find this interesting...
Since the only thing I ever acknowledged myself good at is getting better I decided to share a couple of tricks.
I truly believe it works in every single case.
It's true. You can get out now or shut up and listen and get better.
(oh and do I need to mention that you need to draw a lot to get better?
I didn't draw a lot and still got better because I followed the steps listed below. But yeah, may not work without drawing a lot...)
Step 1. Honesty.
Be aware of your own limitations. They're usually bigger than you really think, despite what people say. I won't be talking about fals
