Hurraaaay, ZOO Nuremberg, mad squirrel - PHOTOS!Hi!
Thank you for buying mugs, people - also thanks to them (and my name day gift), I could go to ZOO Nuremberg
My journey started at 9 PM, I went to Prague and at 11:55 PM, I caught a bus to Nuremberg. I got there at 3:30 AM and I went to the railway station, as it was warm and safe place to stay. I needed to wait some 5 hours on a bench like a homeless! but I had a book and I was so tired, that I also slept a bit. Then I went to the ZOO, being the first visitor again!
Of course, dolphins were the main attraction for me - all other animals are kept also in Czech ZOOs, but dolphins are real rarity for me. And ZOO Nuremberg has absolutely new exhibit for them - big outdoor lagoon with underwater window, which allows you to see swimming dolphins and sea lions, who share this home. Last time I considered myself to be a bit unlucky - only two dolphins were in the whole lagoon and they hardly came close to the window, so I took only few photos of them underwater.
This time, I

Do YOU want to sell prints? One mistake you make.Hi people!Do YOU want to sell prints? One mistake you make.3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Today it is a short journal without photos, sorry.
I would like to give you one important advice, so I hope it can be still useful
I see many people try to sell prints here. And they are often sad they have not sold anything yet.
But at the same time I see they do the same mistake. So:
HOW PEOPLE TRY TO SELL THEIR WORK AS A PRINT?
1. you took a photo (drew a picture). It is nice, so you want to post it as a deviation.
2. you edit it. Making it sharper, more colourful, adding contrast, CHANGING a size to some 850x600px, for example.
3. you post it as a deviation.
4. you look at your deviation and think "hm, it looks pretty cool! Maybe somebody can buy it. I will allow it as a print."
5. you click at "submit as a print" and in "print submission" option you just scroll down and click at "SUBMIT AS A PRINT".
6. now deviation in your gallery has that cool "buy this print" green button and you are excited about somebody buying it.
7. you are disappointed that nobody bought it.

Randomizing Your StablesA recent trend in DA stables (whether they are registered with the :iconhorseart-rpg: or other horse art clubs) has been to use randomized stats and events for your horses. Some only use it for breeding and foaling, others use it only for competitions, and some just use it for the horse's general life time. Or all three and many other uses.Randomizing Your Stables5 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
These random outcomes are used to do things like determine if a breeding was successful or not or how healthy a foal is when it was born. For competitions its used to find out if your horse won, placed, or just lost at a usually made up list of events, usually these don't include club-hosted competitions the horse is entered into but they can. For the horse's general life the results are generally used pertaining to the horse's health, numbers can be rolled to see if a horse might colic or come up lame or be injured in its day to day activities.
While sometimes these systems can seem a little overwhelming, they're great for adding depth to your stab

General Life and Death
The title speaks for itself I think lol This is for your horse's daily life, you can run it whenever you like or not at all. I think I will be running mine once a month. As always, you can alter this however you like, add or remove things to your heart's desire!
This is for your horse's day to day activities. Nothing at all could happen, or they could colic, or you might bring them in from the pasture and notice a minor or major injury, they could even come up lame and not be able to train or compete for a little while. Like I said I'll be doing this once a month, but you can do it whenever.
I forgot to provide this link in the first article, but added it in a comment. This is the site most preferred for generating numbers http://www.random.org/

I've noticed a lot of people use randomizing systems for their race horses to generate race results for their horses as it takes so long for club or individual hosted races and competitions to be run and then judged. But I haven't seen many people doing the same for non racing events such as dressage, roping, endurance, show jumping, etc. So I've made up my own little system. It has some major flaws in it I know, mainly because I never competed much in my life and really don't know how a the systems in a lot of sports works but feel free to alter this however you like if you know more than I do and wish to make it more acurate, you can then post a link in the comments with your version of this system so that others can benefit from it!
You can basically use the same system for all of them, only changing around the names and prizes according to the class a

Continuation of my journal post "5 reasons why we fail to get things done"
Often we try to be as productive as possible - so many things to do, so many artworks to make. But then comes the procrastination, indecisiveness, lazyness and other excuses that come in our way. How to deal with them, how to accomplish all we ever wanted..? Here are my 5 tips for you that I have been doing for a while and I hope that It'll help you too.
1. 3 tasks for a day.
In the morning or in the previous evening write down 3 main things you want/need to do in a day. Be realistic, but strive for the things that will help you develop the skill, move you closer to bigger goals. Check them, change them depending on each day and cross them over when you have made them happen. You will k

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die."
—Roy Batty, BLADERUNNER
Every time we open our eyes in the morning as each new day breaks, two worlds flow forth, each penetrating into the other, as the celestial portal gate separating them is once again raised. One’s inner world, of mind and being, pierces the outer world of light and raw data, seeking to hunt and gather mental sustenance. The outer world floods into our minds like a data tsunami, seeking to reconfigure the secret landscape of last night’s perfectly crafted dream state. Both worlds do battle to rearrange and make sense of the other. It is the yin and yang, by which we create and recreate the world – and the world invades and recreates each one of

In the meantime, I wanted to share with you a set of really great youtube videos of painting process made by Noah Bradley (noahbradley). He was nice enough to comment on what he was doing making the videos a great source of knowledge. He talks about all the technical details, gives tips and tricks, and does it in a very professional yet easy to understand way. I watch videos like that all the time and find them the

Photo Tips- small things that make big differencesSo I decided that I'm too much of a nerd to not write some kind of instructional photography article.Photo Tips- small things that make big differences3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've fought the urge for a long time, because I have such an incredibly large amount to learn that I feel wrong telling other people what's up. But hey, I got off work early today and ate half of a pizza and didn't feel like getting off the couch so I did it anyway. So there.
If you disagree with any of this, feel free to rant at me angrily over the internet.
Also, I'm sleepy and I didn't proofread this much and there's a chance that none of it makes any sense at all.
Anywho, here are things that I have learned the hard way. There are a good deal more, but I decided to start with just five, that are very general and apply to all areas of photography.
Carly's Photography Tips- small things that make big differences.
This seems like it should be self explanatory, but sometimes on your tiny little camera screen it can be very hard to tell if you've gotten a

** Now as far as me getting things goes, many of the things shown here are ordered. Sometimes I get things form people, and I'm not showing off. This is the best way I can show people my thanks. I love showing the work of others to people, features are awesome. Yes, I do have a habit of ordering small commissions. Why? Because I am supporting my friends as friends and as an artist! Commissions are the best way to help others! **
Thanks for looking! I look forward to filling this with new art!
ALSO, if I ever miss your artwork, or it somehow doesn't end up in here. PLEASE
