Call of the ocean - Orcaga TFCrashing a wave broke upon a blackened cliff face. The coastline rolled along, just the same seamless black with the deep blue ocean pounding at its feet. The cracks and crags in the cliff line lead up to a small spot of short green grass surrounded by the long yellow grass.
Sitting cross legged was a young man in his early twenties. He sat his ginger hair being rustled slightly by the strong coastal wind, which tugged at the pale green shirt he wore. Cross legged he was perched looking out over the azure glass, a calm surface to him. His blue eyes shone, longing for the deep. The Soft fair skin blended with the white of the clouds, passing behind. Jeans a dark blue folded with his legs, leading down to a pair of white trainers.
"Oh Ray, why am I stuck up here, like this, I'd be much better down in the water, now work, family or friends to worry about. Just a big old ocean to swim in...No responsibility." Contemplating he kept his eyes on the water as a small break in the seemingly pla

Dr.Dirk Adams stood at the edge of the dolphin tank at SeaWorld looking down at Jenny, the 7 year old female bottlenose dolphin. She had been there since they had found her struggling to break free of a net 6 months ago. They saved her and took her back to help her recover. Dirk became her care taker. For the first couple months she seemed happy. Every day when dirk would show up for work she would greet him at the surface. They would spend their days swimming together in her tank, chasing down live fish that dirk was able to procure on his own. But recently she started acting strangely, she seemed depressed. She would still come up to the surface to meet him, but not with the same enthusiasm. She wouldn't swim with him or chase fish.
"Maybe it's time for you to return the wild. I'll talk with the director. Look in to getting you back out to sea," he said.
Two weeks later, they were on a boat heading for the middle of the Gulf of Mex

As he sat down, he felt a small box in his back pocket press against his butt. Yelping from pain, he jumped up. He reached into the pocket and took the box out. The box was a gift from her, but he haven't yet seen what was inside. Lifting the lid, he found a small snakeskin bracelet, dyed a deep blue. This bracelet looked really old and tribal. It had threads of yarn dangling from it, each end with a colored bead.
'Probably used for snake worshiping', he thought. His girlfriend did share a lot about Cambodian history during the time she was away.
He unclasped the bracelet, and put it on. It fitted on quite nicely, and Noah was pleased with it.
'Time to go shower then'. He got up from the sofa he was sitting on.
After taking a few steps, he suddenly lost control of his legs, and fell

Ah, the sea. Calm, serene, and blue, its surface was sparkling and undisturbed. The moonlight reflected off of it, giving the water's surface an almost eerie glow Suddenly, a strange black shape appeared. It grew larger and larger until *SPLOOSH!* James, happy about his dive, swam over to the boat and handed his fins to the assistant at the ladder before climbing up onto the deck. He removed his mask and regulator, walking over to his seat. "Man, what a dive!"
"I know, wasn't it?" James turned to face the voice, which was coming from his dive buddy, Rob.
"Yeah. Man, I never get tired of seeing the ocean floor."
"Same here. Shame that we have to head back home to North Dakota tomorrow."
"Yeah " James' gleeful mood dampened a bit upon being reminded of that fact, as there were few places to dive within a medium distance of his house. In fact, none of the diving locales in North Dakota were oceanic dives, which were James' favorite. He could only do those whi

Come on kid, hurry up and jump already. We dont got all day to stand in line. An obviously upset voice from behind yelled.
The kid that was being yelled at had been holding up the line at the high dive at his local pool. Scared of heights, he had spent the last five minutes arguing and debating with himself about whether or not to jump off. Sadly, this had lead to there being a large line of angry people behind him yelling at him to get on with it.
Alright, alright, just hold your horses. Im going to jump. Just give me a minute.
He could already here the collective sighs of frustration as he walked towards the end of the board. As he did so, though, he slipped and fell onto the board, much to the enjoyment of the people behind him.
Now just do that again and fall into the water. The crowd roared

Anthro Shark TFWill walked along the little glass corridor in the aquarium. He was surrounded by a glass tube that people could walk through, immersed underwater, displaying the many hundreds of species of marine ecology, both animal and plant. He was working for the zoo, and right now he was simply traversing the walkway to get to his next workstation. He was the janitor/clean-up guy, It was Sunday, and now he was on his way to his last stop, to clean up the penguins' little part of the aquarium, and he had a student to help him, a high schooler who needed volunteer hours. As he walked along the corridor, he looked around him. There was fish, swimming contentedly, bright coral shining in the noon sun, and big reeds of seagrass dangling from the aquarium floor like the hands of the accursed, waving in the air from below the depths. Will sighed. But, then he noticed something- A tiger shark was following him. It was up next to the glass, swimming for the human. "Thirty minutes remaining!" the teacher announced.
Darn, half the time was up, and I still hadn't written anything.
You know... That breaking point. The one where you feel like you just couldn't give a flying frik about what you were doing anymore? I had looong sice passed that by now. With absolutely no idea how to do the test, all I could do was sit there and laugh, knowing that I was going to fail for sure.
That fact was further reinforced when the teacher came over, put her hand on my shoulder, and guided me to the exit.
One brief lecture from the invigilator later, I stood outside the lecture theatre, wondering whether I had made a bad decision signing up for this class in the first place.
I trudged slowly across the campus and into the tra

...Sometimes life imitates art. Only it's usually better.
My eighteenth party was awesome. I didn't even mind that my mom had invited every relative on her side known to man. And they all seemed so excited that I was turning eighteen! I think they were more into it than I was, truth be told.
The few people on my dad's side were not quite as upbeat. In fact, they seemed quite the opposite. My dad's mom kept sneaking these glances at me, and, honestly, it made me feel weird. So I went off and hung out with my friends. They had all managed to attend, and it seemed as if it would be one of those few nights that would linger in my memory as near-perfect.
But once everyone was gone, and I helped my parents clean up the house and yard, my father muttered, “Is it time?”
My mother stopped and looked up at the sky. The bright moon lit up the August night like daylight, and she i

"I'm not saying I'm going, but what are you dressing up as?"
Selena grinned mischievously. "A werewolf. But not the scary kind. The H-O-T hot kind. It will be kind of scary, but sexy at the same time."
"Where are you going to get a costume like that?"
"Custom order. I'll order one for you too, if you're coming."

The Birth of a Naga Part 1For Mark, this was truly the worst day of his life. The Birth of a Naga Part 11 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The 16 year old boy had just been a victim of domestic violence which resulted a bloody nose, one or two cracked ribs, an alarming number of bruises about his person and worst of all, both of his legs broken.
His family had just fallen apart completely; his mother had just ran off with another man for ‘a better life’, his father and brother had fallen into very bad habits, resulting them being kicked out of the gypsy troupe that they travelled with for most of their lives.
All of these events happened at a ‘car park’ at the border of Sherwood Forest, where Mark’s father and brother took their anger and frustration out on him before finally driving off and leaving Mark a battered and bleeding wreck in the forest.
Pain shot up and down his body as Mark crawled his way along the forest floor, his breath labouring raggedly in his chest with the effort and from the cold night air. He pressed on, determined to
Nightmare- Naga TFThe boy slowly came to. He opened his eyes, and was greeted by an eternal darkness, the kind of darkness you could lose yourself in, the kind of darkness that makes you feel nonexistent, weightless, dead. "Hello?" But now, Joby was lost in the dark, and felt no clothes on him whatsoever.Nightmare- Naga TF5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Joby put his hand up to his face, and even at point blank, he could still see nothing. "I-Is anyone there?" He called out again. "A-am I dead?" Suddenly, he heard a loud slam. Blinding light poured in from above, creating a spotlight around Joby. It was an odd contrast, pitch-black, total darkness bordered by extreme light. He looked down, and confirmed the fact that he was buck-naked. "Where am I?!?" He hollered out, to no response. Soon, another light came on, shining a spotlight on an object that looked like an unrecognizable blob of green and brownish yellow goo. "What the hell?" J

Large ferocious naga lived there. A full-grown adult could reach eleven feet long because of their tail, and they were nigh pure muscle according to autopsies of captured dead ones. They were hairless beasts covered in varying brown scales covering the length of their body except the sandy ones on their bellies. They had the shape of a human in a sense, but the form of a snake corrupted them. Despite having hands, they just had three fingered claws. Their massive constricting tails began where a human's waist would be.

Off the Beaten Track - Naga TFJust a few scrapes and bruises, nothing serious, I thought as I examined my injuries. I wasn't sure what had happened as it occurred too quickly for my brain to comprehend it. One moment I was riding my bike through the forest near my house, along a familiar dusty pathway that I always took to get to school, and before I knew it I rode straight into an overhanging tree branch that smacked me right in the face, causing me to lose my balance and go plummeting to the ground.Off the Beaten Track - Naga TF5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
I was happy that I didn't break any bones or anything. This area, although it was near the town, was still hard to get to and because of that medical attention could have a hard time getting to me. I dusted myself off, accidentally wiping some blood from my scraped knee onto my fingers, and got to my feet.
My bike was lying flat on the ground next to a few shrubs. It didn't seem like it had sustained any damage at all. I breathed a sigh of relief. Paying for repairs would have caused a serious problem since my family
