Es, Ch. 20: Without Peace She reached home; still happy to share Flame's house; and searched for Flame. She couldn't find him anywhere so she went to his door and knocked No response. Opening the door, she found him asleep on his grand bed, completely at peace. She was uncertain whether to wake him or not. After all, he had no sleep last night, but she figured that he should know immediately. So, reluctantly, she woke him.
Flame wasn't angry; he was tired, but not angry; and he listened closely as Ember explained the fight that occurred between her and Soria and where she was at now.
Flame got out of his bed and Ember led the way back to the cabins where she left Soria. During the walk the rain stopped, as to be expected from the length of the journey, and Flame yawned while Ember's stomach growled; she still hadn't eaten anything.
As they reached the two cabins Ember found Blue off the roof and not in sight, with th

It was NOT ME.
Guys... I don't know what the hell happened.
Oh wait... yes I do.
Someone posted a "This was stolen from [link]" on my latest image -- http://ninjakato.deviantart.com/art/Some-days-you-just-don-t-want-to-wake-up-339562224 (the image has been stored but the link should suffice) and I clicked the link because it was a link to a DeviantART page... it sent me to the log in page... next thing I know... my account is deactivated... and it's saying I have the verify my email address as email@example.com (I don't remember the email address exactly).
It seriously happened so fast there was no time to investigate further...
The first account was a bait account (sending out the message of accusatory theft to get the person's attention) then the second [link] account is the actual phishing account.
It pulls some switch-er-oo and next thing you know your account is deactivated and you're left having t
Be vigilant of phishing scamsYour account's security is of vital importance to deviantART and we're committed to providing our members resources and advice on how to stay safe and secure online. Earlier today, an individual or group of individuals redirected some deviantART members to a false deviantART login screen by exploiting a cross-site-scripting vulnerability in deviantART's Journal system. This tactic, commonly known as phishing, allowed the individuals to gain access to some accounts.Be vigilant of phishing scams2 years ago in DeviantART Announcements More Like This
Phishing is a serious matter on the Web. You've probably heard of phishing attempts through emails, the classic example being a fake email from a bank or other trusted authority, asking you to enter your personal information.
The individuals discovered and exploited a cross-site-scripting vulnerability in Journals that provided them the ability to redirect deviants to a different website, designed to mimic a deviantART login screen. Some deviants who did not realize that they were bei

Why, you ask?
There are several uses for this feature. Say you're walking down the street, and you see something that catches your eye. Perhaps there's an impromptu dance party, or the sun is setting over the mountains. You only have your phone on you, and you snap a photo. It looks amazing, but that photo is forever doomed to reside in your phone. Now, you can email that picture to your Sta.sh and have it ready for you when you're home. Sta.sh also gives you a place to store that photo so you can share the link with friends.
Or, say you're at school or work you've been collaborating with a friend on your latest masterpiece. You may not be able to log in to your deviantART account, or don't want to ge

Wow, so my deviation seem to have struck a nerve with alot of people both positively and negatively.
I just wanted to say im sorry if I offended anyone who just wanted to give some constructive criticism it truly wasn't the point of the deviation.
There were two main points in this "protest" pokeball, they are:
1. To make those who bombarded me with the "you are an art thief" comments, I explained my stance on this and some people didn't get it or they wouldn't read the previous comments I made to other people so they just wrote what they wanted and the whole thing started up a flame war, which I assure you I did not want in the least.
2. The other side of it was to those who wanted my artwork off DA because they have seen it "way too many times and DA is sick of it", I really don't feel that a small group of people could tell me what ALL of deviantart wanted to see you know? Also, I was sent many many many notes with insulting and uncalled for rude language and threats towar
FallenLullaby's Tips To Writing a Reader-InsertOkay, I know I'm not the best writer out there, but I thought maybe this would be of use to others. This can apply to any type of Reader-Insert, but I'm using Hetalia as an example.FallenLullaby's Tips To Writing a Reader-Insert2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Tip #1: S-p-e-l-l-i-n-g and grammar! Believe it or not, these are very important. Bad spelling and grammar can completely ruin a story. Unfortunately, Microsoft Word is a bit of a bitch when it comes to grammar, so I'd suggest re-reading your story over again to check for any mistakes. Also, you can always get an editor.
Tip #2: Keep the character's personality the same! Unless it's specifically crack or the character is drunk off their ass, try not to make the character too OOC. I know it can be very difficult if you're writing something like NetherlandsxReader where nobody even knows how the fuck Netherlands would even react to different situations, but give it your best shot to keep the characters in-character. I don't think I'm too great at this either, but hey, we sho

I believe in deviantART. Which is to more accurately say I believe in the concept and the reality of the deviantART community.
When in contemplation of the eternal wellspring that is the deviantART project and how it has become the engine keeping my heart and mind on a full burn as I strive to be an upstanding member of the community as well as a helpful architect and eager participant in the conversation -- my thoughts inevitably settle upon my attempts to define my concept of Gratitude.

How to Protect a Dragon Conqueror Chapter EighteenThe next few days got eaten up like freshly caught cod, and Dad made sure they were devoured with gusto. Before the sun even had a chance to stretch its arms over the horizon, we'd be off delivering the young Outcast recruits back to their native islands and fighting the resident overlords that held their food supplies hostage. He claimed that we would find Alvin on one of those desolate settlements, where we had to chase down rogue dragons and tame them for the liberated people, but I suspected that he wanted me away from Berk, where Alvin had struck last. Also, Thornado left a notable impact when his scream blasted away Alvin's delegates on the islands; no one dared fire at him or his riders. How to Protect a Dragon Conqueror Chapter Eighteen2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I didn't regret liberating these islands, seeing teens skinnier than I was getting their bread back, but resentment built up as the time fell away. Alvin still had Toothless, could be torturing him, and I was off rescuing people who had attacked my home. If I mentioned this to Dad, air current g

Oh right; he was begged to do the job by his friend Elizaveta and since he kind of needs the money to pay his rent (and he can never say "no" unfortunately), it was only inevitable that he would show up Monday morning dressed in a plain white collar shirt with a black vest over it, a black tie, black slacks, and dark formal shoes. Sighing, he adjusts said tie and prepares himself to greet a customer with a polite warm smile as he hears the front door bell chime. "Ohayou gozaimasu. Wercome to the Sweet Tooth Café. FOLLOW THE LIGHT
Is there really such a thing as good or bad light?
There is gorgeous light, little light, strange light, dim light, golden light, light so wonderful it makes your whole body hurt, scary light, difficult light, blueish light, morning light, evening light, light at night, light that feels like lead, the sulfuric-yellowish light shortly before a hailstorm, mixed light, the rose tinted light of Eos, the greek goddess of dawn, soft light and hard light, harsh light, artificial light, autumn light, light that tickles you in the morning and wakes you up, maybe there's even ugly light.
Isn't referring to different light situations as good or bad really an approach that keeps you from tackling challenges? One that stops you from trying to find something that makes all kinds of different light work for you? One that stops you from experimenting with light? One that might prevent you from taking th

How to Protect a Dragon Conqueror, Chapter TwentyAfter my father sang, sleep came in large, dreamless doses. My eyes would open, blearily, and I would turn over as he pressed his large hand against my cheek and murmured. Even when he vanished the fourth time that I woke, I turned over and let fatigue take over. Thornado kept his flat head beneath my palms. How to Protect a Dragon Conqueror, Chapter Twenty2 years ago in Personal More Like This
When my eyes opened for the sixth time, loud bangs from downstairs broke through with heavy sunlight and the smell of sizzling fish. There was the sound of wood crashing. I groaned and buried my head under the blankets.
"Hey, how long can a guy sleep?" Tuffnut asked from below. There was shuffling and Gobber's peg leg scraped on the wood.
"Hiccup's had a rough night; your job is to guard every door, not bother him."
"Why didn't Stoick give him Sleeping Soup?" Ruffnut asked. "Did he develop an allergy?"
"More likely he wanted to avoid the big trial today," Tuffnut answered. "I was falling asleep before it started."
Oh gods. I pinched my eyes shut and sat up, brown blanket still cove

How to Protect a Dragon Conqueror Chapter NineteenA kinder teacher would have led me away from the arena, sat me down with hard ale, and forced me to calm down. Astrid had her orders, however, which was to hone the killer instinct that had emerged from unholy depths. She remounted the dummy, took a deep breath, and ordered me to strike again. When I had slashed through the red marks, she corrected my pose, careful not to get cut on the teeth, and told me to keep attacking. How to Protect a Dragon Conqueror Chapter Nineteen2 years ago in Personal More Like This
"You're doing a good job," she whispered. "Your father's not going to believe this."
No, he wasn't. I had decided not to kill a dragon, but Viking nature allowed me to contemplate murder. Toothless wouldn't have approved.
The twins went away to patrol, and Fishlegs came to watch. He made notes in the Dragon Academy Records, watching me with morbid curiosity as Astrid moved the dummy's arms, like she was the Outcast battling me.
"Trader Johann's due to pull in this evening," he called as Astrid righted the dummy. "I heard he's staying overnight."
