He slipped through the large door, unseen. Closing it behind him, he searched around the room, hoping to find what he needed. Revealing a head full of flame - red hair and a ghostly white face, the Invisibility Cloak slid off him. His complexion was paler than normal. Dry tears marking him. It seemed as though the boy - perhaps around the age of nineteen - never stopped weeping. He finally took the cloak off and held it with a loose grasp in his shaking fist. His tall frame shivering. Pain... grief... fear... coldness... One could only hope that the boy was shivering from lack of body heat, and nothing else.
Looking around, he could not find what he needed. He needed the mirror - not just any old mirror. He needed the cruelest mirror he ever knew.
Not My DaughterMolly was aware, in some corner of her mind, that many lives had been lost in the last few hours. But at that moment, only two mattered: Harry and Fredher sons, her beloved, brave, sons. Fred, who nearly everyone had seen as one half of a whole, but he was more than that He was the more reckless of the already reckless pair, the one she could pick out by his crossed arms, whereas George always had his hands in his pockets. Never once had she truly confused them. And Harry, who had befriended her terrified Ron, engaged in a bizarre dance for her daughter's heart, and now had walked straight into the open arms of death. Not My Daughter4 years ago in General Fiction More Like This

George couldn't move. Once again he found himself sitting on his bed, staring out the window. Instead of looking at the surrounding field of wheat he saw a large white tent, much like the one that was erected at Bill's and Fluer's wedding. Now it stood as a reminder of happier times, before everything went to hell for George.
He found it odd that something that brought such joy and excitement before left his stomach in knots and his heart aching for it all to go away. He looked down at the wizards and witches that were lifting the tent and saw a familiar shock of red hair surrounding a shiny patch of skin.
George felt a stabbing sensation right where his heart was. Or where it used to be. He was an empty shell now. He walked around the house in a daze. Sometimes he wasn't even aware that he had actually moved. One time he had made it out to the marsh that surrounded The Burrow when his father tried to drag him back to the house, yel

Lily had fallen asleep with the tattered book in her lap. She had read Pride and Prejudice countless times, but never seemed to enjoy it any less. James could not comprehend why she loved it so much; it was tedious and long, full of too much talking and not enough fighting.
"Lily," he murmured into her hair. "Lily." She stirred, opening her eyes halfway, and smiled sleepily at him. "We should go upstairs to sleep. We'll both have backaches tomorrow if we stay here." She nodded and sat up, stretching.
A soft cracking sound reached their ears. Husband and wife stopped dead, suddenly no longer tired.
"James, the spells "
The horrifying, high-pitched cackle reached their ears. The one that invaded their nightmares every night.

Draco was too lost in his thoughts to realize what section of Diagon Alley he was leading his son through. A sudden blast of calliope music coming out an open door made him jump, and Scorpius dropped his father's hand, running across the street toward the source of the noise as fast as his short legs could carry him.
Number 93 Diagon Alley. The last time Draco'd been there, it was to buy the Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder that he'd used against Dumbledore's Army in his sixth year at Hogwarts. He had no desire to go back there, but his son was disappearing through the lime-green door. Amazing. When ordered to go to bed, it took the four-year-old eons to walk down a short hallway. But the sight of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes had him moving so fast, Draco didn't even have time to call after hi

George Weasley leapt down the last flight of stairs, pictures on the walls shaking in their frames and glaring at him. He only grinned and flew out the door. Today was going to be a wonderful day.
He'd been forced to take off early, seeing as he had to get to his destination. He wasn't seventeen yet, and so would have to take the slow route. By broomstick. Still, it was bound to be a nice flight, the weather was wonderful. It was early, but the sun was shining and the sky was bluer than he'd ever seen, cloudless as far as the eye could see. Perfect.
He chuckled as he grabbed his broom from the broom shed, shaking it to dislodge a few spiders who'd already taken residence in its twigs since he'd played a miniature game of quidditch two days before. He thought they'd learn that the brooms weren't a good place to weave their webs. Though Ron's face when he was forced to get his own broom was always good for a laugh thanks to the eight legged creatures.

Fred & George: A Short Character Analysis
Right, so first off I'm a big fan of the twins: both twins, not just Fred. I've always appreciated both as separate characters and I've never really understood how so many people never picked up on their differences. So I decided to do what I do best - RANT (wayhey!). Keep in mind this is just my own opinion based on what I've read in books 1-7.
In the first place it's important to know and understand the twins' differences, especially if you're writing a story that puts particular focus on them. Yes, both twins are bonkers, fun-loving, flirtatious, stubborn and lest we forget both in the possession of a razor sharp wit. The books may describe them as identical right down to the last freckle, but this doesn't mean that they are one hundred percent identical in personality - no twins are. In fact, if Fred and George were the same they wouldn't make such a good team. Fred and George are a perfect double act and in any double act you
Through A Mothers EyesIt all started almost 7 years ago, when my youngest son left for Hogwarts. I knew nothing would be the same again. After his first year, he would rant for hours about his newfound friendship with a 'bossy know-it-all' girl. He fought against his growing feelings for a bushy haired girl as the years slowly passed by. She soon integrated herself into our family, becoming a sister to Ginny and a daughter to me. I continued to look upon their blossoming love and the constant childish bickering, as an act of covering up their feelings. The year of the Yule Ball came, and I prayed that this would be the time that they finally joined together, but it in fact drifted them further apart, and my heart broke for dream that would never come true. Last year, Harry wrote to me and told me about Ron's grilfriend. My eyes welled up at the thought of Hermione's broken heart and part of it being lost with him.

"Have to go?" The five- year- old twins whined as they tugged at Charlie's sleeve.
"Because it's his time to go to Hogwarts." Molly said softly as she pulled Fred and George off of Charlie.
"Go to?" The twins asked.
"In a few years." Arthur said.
"How many?" They asked.
"You two can go in six years." Percy said matter-of-factly as he straightened his glasses.
"But we wanna go now." The mischevious twins whined as they glared at Percy. They shot indentical pleading looks at Charlie as he started to head towards the train. "Don't go." They begged.
"I'm sorry guys, I have to." Charlie said as he ruffled both of their hair.
"Don't worry boys." Molly started, "Bill and Charlie will be home for Christmas." She said before shooting her older boys a dark look. "Won't you?"
"Of course Mum." Bill said as the train whistle blew. The elder boys hopped on the train and waved their family good-bye.

The house where her son had grown up into a young man. The house where 16 long years ago, she was told by a wizard, that her only sister had been murdered. Petunia never cried. Not until that day anyway. She was careful to stay in her usual stony faced posture around her husband, but when he had left the house, she broke down. Draco gave Hermione a small shove. Hermione pushed back. Draco's cauldron hit the floor, spewing blue goo everywhere. They both turned to look at Snape, who was regarding them with a flat stare. "Five points from Gryffindor."
"And none from Slytherin? That's so unfair," Hermione complained.

The other Slytherins snickered. Draco gave Hermione another small shove. "Serves you right, you uppity, mouthy Muggle-born." She bumped up against another table, dumping Crabbe's cauldron right in his lap.

"Who didn't apologize?" asked a voice from behind her. Hermione jumped slightly before turning to face Ginny who had come into the room while her back was turned.

So many words, choked and grief-stricken, clouding his room and his mind until he finally shut them all out. He doesn't want them there. He talks and talks to himself, instead, half-drifting, half out of his mind, but it wasn't the same. He knows I'm as good as he is, these days." They paused before the rectory door. "Ready?" he asked as he reached for the lion-headed door-knocker.
"No. But go ahead." Hermione didn't ask what was going on. She was pretty sure she knew.

It was a thought that circled his mind endlessly, during those vague drifting hours when the hungry, roaring darkness that made him remember and hurt seemed to rest. Those people - his family - wanted to send him away. They couldn't bear to deal with him anymore.
"You aren't getting better," his mother had said, with tears in her eyes and voice as she regarded him with heartbreak. "We just don't know what else to do, George."
He supposed it wasn't fair to blame them; it wasn't their fault. He was tainted, and broken. Just being in the same room with him must have been hard. Plus, he reasoned to himself in that gray neutrality he much preferred to the restless, gnawing desperation, it wouldn't be so bad, wherever they sent him. He would miss his flat, but the walls and rooms held so much of his brother within them, it was almost painful to be there.
But, he knew, it would be as painful to leave.
Painful either way, he mused in those moments of

She was cut off by the wind. Ron clutched her arm ("To keep her from worrying," he said later, but everyone figured it was to keep himself safe.) and said, "Hold on tight!"
The tornado dumped the group into a field somewhere in another universe much like their own, only it was different somehow.
"Did we get the right universe?" Draco moaned, as he rubbed the bump on the back of his head. "Because this looks a lot like ours."
"Hmmm " said Hermione. "Let's take a look around."

Hermione was rudely awakened by Madame Pince hitting her about the head with a feather duster. "We--" smack-- "do--" smack-- "not--" smack-- "sleep--" smack-- "on the BOOKS." Smack, smack, smack. "You're just lucky you're not a drooler."
Wrapping her arms protectively around her head, Hermione was momentarily befuddled. Wha... where am I? Her eyes began to focus, and she remembered that she was in the library at Hogwarts. The past few weeks, she'd been studying frantically for her OWLs, and the lack of sleep was catching up with her.
The barrage of blows stopped. "Now, go. This is not a dormitory, and it's time for me to lock up."
Hermione gathered up her things and went out into the hall. Not fully awake yet, she was seized by a yawn that seemed to start at the tips of her
