My Little Dashie - After YearsIt's been a full hour since Dashie had left along with Princess Celestia and the rest of her crew. I was just sitting on the couch sulking over the photos left behind, showing distant memories so clear and vivid. It all felt so real, so convincing... enough to have changed me to be a different person from what I was 15 years ago.
And yet I have nothing to show for it.
Had I just gone mad? Was it just a Rainbow Dash plushie that I had imagined as the real thing? And Celestia taking her away was the result of me snapping back to reality after growing up? That would explain a lot, considering everything in this house appeared as though I've been living alone this whole time. The note could have been just me writing things down, and the photos could have been me Photoshopping Rainbow Dash with myself... I think I recall seeing a similar scenario in a video game. You know, back when I had the time for video games.
I just didn't know what to think. My mind couldn't accept such insanity, this
My little Dashie: Reader's CutIt was three days after her sonic rainboom. I had kept her inside during those days, I wanted to be extra safe no one noticed her, even if it was unlikely someone would ever wander anywhere near this block. But I wasn't taking any chances for Dashie. Plus, we entertained ourselves with the celebrations, and the explanations.My little Dashie: Reader's Cut4 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Now here we were, at the usual park, on a cloudy day, with Dashie flying softly by my side, sporting her brand-new cloud-and-rainbow-thunder-bolt cutie mark. I was so proud.
She spoke first when we arrived there, "Hey! I noticed something when I went so high in the sky last time, can I go up there again? Please?"
I gave her a questioning look. What could she possibly have to do up there? She seemed resolute enough in her desire though.
"Well, okay, but please let's not make a habit out of..."
"Okay." And she was off, leaving just a rainbow blur behind.
I followed her contrail with my gaze. She was going straight up, higher and higher... until she disappeared

"Dashie?" I called out. A few tiny hoof taps sounded against the wooden flooring of my house, and a particular cyan filly darted around a corner and skidded to a stop in front of me, gazing up at my face with those large, innocent violet eyes of hers. She blinked. Not only a week ago had she uttered her first words, and just recently she had been exploring the house while I was away at work.
I set my keys in the cupboard above the sink I normally keep them in, before reaching down and grabbing the filly with both hands, setting her on the countertop by the sink. She sat down on her haunches, and continued staring up at me as I cranked the handle on the sink engraved with a large "H". Water poured out the nozzle, which quickly snagged her attention.
I had retrieved water for her before via the sink (as my refrigerator's water dispenser had been broken since before my parents passed), but, from her diminutive vantage point, she had never actually witnessed the wat

Finally, it's done and ready! This is a fanfiction called "A Moment". It is a sequel to the fic "My Little Dashie" by ROBCakeran53. This won't make sense unless you've read that, so head on over to his profile and read it (I put a link in the description). Also, in the description I put a link to the picture that gave me inspiration for the final scene (and, to a degree, the entire story). When they gather for cookies and cocoa, have that image ready to augment my descriptions (I can only describe clothes so well; I'm not a pro, you know!).
Okay, so here's the deal. I feel this story would be a tad long to post here in its entirety (or, at least, it would make getting to the comments SUCK), so I have instead taken the liberty to provide a link to it in the description
Christmas with Dashie"DADDY!" I awoke to hear Dashie's startled shout. I bolted out of my bed to her room to see what was wrong, and I found her standing on her dresser, hooves against the window, staring in awe and the magnificent snowscape forming outside as the white flakes blanketed the the ground. Dashie turned to me, her eyes wide with confusion. "What's going on?" She asked.Christmas with Dashie4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"That's called snow, Dashie." She looked at me, just as confused as before. "It's like... Flaky frozen water. It falls sometimes here." Dashie continued to stare at me with the same confusion and awe. "... Here, I'll show you." I grabbed my jacket and held it out to Dashie and she obediently let me scoop her up. I wrapped her in my jacket and took her outside.
As I stepped outside, her head darted Every which way in curiosity. A single flake of snow fell on her nose and she jumped, then shook her head furiously. I let out a quiet chuckle. Then, much to my surprise, she wiggled her way out of my arms and jumped to the ground. She
My Little Dashie: Game OverI grunted as I hefted the stark white bags filled with foodstuffs out of the trunk of my car. I had noticed we were running out of food at the moment (Well, mostly food for Dashie...she's an herbivore and all), so I had decided to stop by a local Wal-mart and get more vegetables for her to eat before heading home from work today. Well, the Wal-mart wasn't exactly local, but it was close enough for me to make a round trip in just under an hour. I mostly just made salads for her, but as the fanon was correct about her not being able to cook at all, she needed some simple, quick grub while I was at away at work each day.My Little Dashie: Game Over4 years ago in Drama More Like This
The bags almost completely obscured my vision as I carried all of them in my arms, piled high to the point where I had no idea what lay in front of me. Going by feel, I approached the door of the house and quietly opened it; I didn't want to wake up Dashie if she was asleep. She liked to take naps during the day, and was a tad too awake at night, which made

She had done a Sonic Rainboom, what dad had called it, and everyone cheered her on. They were all ponies, just like me. They loved her, cheered for her, celebrated with her, but what about me? Who's there for me?
I'm just sitting here in the rain, thinking about her life compared to mine, and I'm just wondering... is that really me? Is that where I belong? It can't be, I belong here... with dad.... At this point I can't be fucked about how worried he might be, he kept this show a secret from me this whole time so he deserves being left there to rot. I don't care. I just want to belong.
Man, all these years... I just didn't know any better. There wasn't much to life other than being with dad, but I kinda wondered about how he talked to other people and I couldn't. What was wrong with me? What would I have to say to them? Would I be loved as much as the Rainbow Dash from the show was? It's kinda sad, for the longest time I've kept it a secret, but I've ac

~~~~~Twilight Sparkle POV~~~~~
We finally arrived back in Ponyville with Rainbow Dash, it was around midnight as the moon was up in the sky, I smiled and winked at the group in the moonlight as it was a job well done but something caught my attention and startled me.
Rainbow Dash stood there and stared blankly in front of her like as if she was in a place she doesn't know.
Her eyes shrank as she gasped, "Am I in Ponyville?"
"Yes you are in Ponyville Rainbow Dash." I tried to reply calmly as I started to think whether the Memory spell worked, but it was confirmed that it
My Little Dashie ContinuationPonyville was blinded as a flash of white light engulfed the town square. There was a large bang, then nothing. Lying in the centre of the square were seven ponies, one of them being the magical Princess Celestia. They all slowly got to their feet, dazed, but alright.My Little Dashie Continuation4 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
"Rainbow, you're back!" Twilight Sparkle exclaimed, hugging the pegasus pony. Rainbow Dash returned the favour.
"Hi Twilight!" she said happily, "But, where did I go?"
The ponies looked at each other. It was obvious that Rainbow had no recollection of the fifteen years (or, in Ponyville, fifteen days) she had spent with her human father. She had grown up with him, and now, she remembered nothing. A soft pang of guilt struck Twilight.
Applejack turned to face the Princess, "Thankin' yer kindly, Princess,"she said in her usual tone, "Fer helping us get our friend back."
Princess Celestia smiled, "It was no problem at all, Applejack."
"Dashie, you're BACK!" Pinkie Pie screamed happily.
Dashie, Rainbow thought. That nickname
My Little Dashie: Moving DayI just really couldn't believe how fast time has flown by. Dashie is turning fifteen already and were finally moving out of my parents' home for good. Yep, tomorrow we are ready to move to our new home far away from the rundown neighborhood we've grown accustomed to. I was a bit nervous though as Dashie and I had to sit down and talk about one last thing.My Little Dashie: Moving Day4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Please daddy, you know I can do it," Dashie pleaded with all her heart.
"Dashie, it's not that I don't think you can do it. I know you can, but it just seems too dangerous," I said trying to be as stern as I could.
A friend of mine from my old job had agreed to help me move out of my parent's house and there was no way I could let him see Dashie. Dashie insisted on flying all the way to our new home in the country. Again, it's not that I don't trust that she can't make it there on here own; she is a strong young mare after all. I've watched her fly for hours tirelessly in the park, she was more than capable of taking care of herself
My Little DashieOk, don't worry yourselves everyone. This is not a drill. Due to Deviant Art's word cap, I realized a bunch of edits going into my story have not been getting updated. So, I made a Google Doc which you can follow here https://docs.google.com/document/d/1NwdIJMALxxi6egHz832IuNIHy1J7JAqulJFoGeLM5tY/edit?hl=en_US or an actual hyperlinky thingy below in the description. I was gonna just delete this and re-post something about it, but with so many of you commenting I was just overcome by your words. So, I wanted to keep them so that I can remember you all! My Little Dashie: NightmareDashie looked around in the darkness wondering what was happening the only light she could see was through a long slit above her. After a minute the filly realised where she was, back inside the box that the strange being had found her. Thinking about why she would be back here confused her as the last thing she remembered was being back at the beings house. 'Why would daddy bring me back here' the cyan filly pondered, 'what could have given him a reason to bring me here, doesn't he care about me'.My Little Dashie: Nightmare3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"What do you mean daddy" Dashie said starting to tear up. "It's for the best you can take care of yourself, you don't need me around" the being said as he got up and started to walk aw
It had been about three months since I "received" Dashie as a Christmas present from Santa. I still can't figure out how he knew or how he found a character who I thought only lived in the cartoon world. But I don't give it much thought now. She has been a blessing in my life! We have shared so many happy and cute times together. If there is one thing I have to say that makes her stand out the most is that sometimes when I feel down, she can look at me with her sparkling maroon eyes that twinkle like stars and it will cheer me up instantly and bring a smile to my face. She also would give me a look like puppy dog eyes whenever she wanted either one more handful of oats or another baby carrot or two. In any event, I'm loving every minute we are spending together. I think today we may have another first of ours today; but I think it will more affect her than me
I looked out the window of my apartment and looked to the sky and saw that dark cloud
Fifteen years. That's how long it took for me to go from a depressed, useless little shit to a happy, joyful man. It was like maturing, but in another way. We matured together, me and Dashie, in our own ways.
Seventeen years, two months, and five days. I remember it, that's how long ago I found her in the box. The day I found my little Dashie. I went from sad to happy, she went from filly to mare. Everything changed. Nothing is the same, nor will it ever be.
I didn't cry at first. I was happy. I thought this would be best. But, I wasn't really happy. Inside, I was praying for her to come back. It
A Brony's Dream Christmas*Beep!* *Beep!* *Beep!* My iPhone sings as it tries to wake me from my deep sleep which I was enjoying quite nicely. My eyes twitched as I tried to block out the sound and ignore the alarm; but it would not let up. It continued its singing until I gave in and fumbled for it for a couple of seconds on my bed stand and finally hit the snooze button, silencing it. "Ok, ok! You win iPhone!" I grunted as I grabbed my glasses and put them on, opening my eyes slightly. I leaned up in my bed and grunted while doing a nice long stretch. I licked my lips, rubbed my eyes to wake myself up a bit, and pulled the covers away from me. My feet, kept warm by a pair of fuzzy socks, touched the carpet surrounding my bed and I made my way towards my door.A Brony's Dream Christmas4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
This amazing piece of writing has encouraged me to pick up my old hobby of fan-fic writing but i must say, I had never planned on writing a fan-fic about a fan-fic. But something that was a brilliantly written as My little Dashie deserves praise and to be slotted into the greatest fan-fics of all time. Anyways, this is a link to my current story. I ask for everyone's help in critiquing my work, so that way my story will be, not only a work of mine, but the work of the people, to show their appreciation to the man who wrote My little Dashie, ROBCakeran53
