Fred & George: A Short Character Analysis
Right, so first off I'm a big fan of the twins: both twins, not just Fred. I've always appreciated both as separate characters and I've never really understood how so many people never picked up on their differences. So I decided to do what I do best - RANT (wayhey!). Keep in mind this is just my own opinion based on what I've read in books 1-7.
In the first place it's important to know and understand the twins' differences, especially if you're writing a story that puts particular focus on them. Yes, both twins are bonkers, fun-loving, flirtatious, stubborn and lest we forget both in the possession of a razor sharp wit. The books may describe them as identical right down to the last freckle, but this doesn't mean that they are one hundred percent identical in personality - no twins are. In fact, if Fred and George were the same they wouldn't make such a good team. Fred and George are a perfect double act and in any double act you
Rose- ScorpiusRose flipped the pages of her book absentmindedly as she sat at a table in the far corner of the library. She was tucked between various shelves, hidden from the view of the hawk-eyed librarian, Madame Pince. Her stomach growled and she closed her book, sighing. She had attempted to smuggle a blueberry muffin from breakfast in to the library but Madame Pince had sniffed it out before she'd barely crossed the threshold.Rose- Scorpius4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Now, leaning back in her chair she let her hair fall out behind her. The bushy curls of her mother combined with the flaming red locks of her father always left quite an impression. But now, with no one around to see them, they merely hung there like hair often does. Rose sat forward on her chair and rest her head on her arms. She closed her eyes and waited a few more minutes before she felt arms snake around her from behind. She jumped slightly and turned around in her seat.
"What?" The boy who stood behind her now raised an eyebrow, "Were you expecting someone else?" H

Spinner´s End, Cokeworth, Northern England.
Severus put down the book and puffed heavily. It was the sixth time the bloody doorbell had rung.
Probably the teenage delinquents who were in the inconvenient habit of roaming Spinner´s End on occasion. During the past few years, they had been coming over to that abandoned part of town whenever they felt bored or were being chased by the police. As a matter of fact, with the street´s alarming state of decay, most of its houses deserted, it was rather surprising that the juvenile gangster-hopefuls didn´t come around to "visit" more often.
Spinner´s End was after all a perfect hiding place...Nobody better than Severus knew that...
But the fact was that Spinner´s End was ruined to such a degree that not even those little punks took a more than passing interest in it. Sometimes they entered an abandoned house to smoke, played some loud music (that is, if that godawful cacophony could be call

Severus didn´t want a child.
And yet...here it was...
Severus approached the cradle with feather light footsteps. It was a simple but elegant piece of furniture, made out of heavy and dark oak wood...an heirloom of Evelyn´s family, that her mother had insisted on giving them. A wealth of delicate white and blue covers and a veil of rich Irish lace protected it´s tiny occupant from the late October chill.
His long fingers drew back the covers to reveal the child to his sleep deprived eyes. A child who was no more than an hour old. A child that wasn´t expected. A mistake that shouldn´t have happened, as far as his father had been concerned.
He didn´t want a child...
Most people take parental instinct for granted...They imagine it´s only natural for parents to love their children. It just happened...But Severus knew better...In fact he knew from experience that it just wasn´t that simple...Nowhere near that simple...
And that was p
Notes George walked into his bedroom for the first time since the Battle of Hogwarts. He had shared this room with Fred. George had his eyes closed. He had decided that if he didn't look, he'd wouldn't get overwhelmed with emotion. But He soon came to realise that this wouldn't help. He could still sense Fred in his room. "Damn." George said under his breath as he slowly opened his eyes. A single tear left the corner his right eye. He didn't wipe it away. He just let it slide down the side of his face and roll off his chin.
"Where to start?" George looked around the small, crooked room. He walked over to the window that separates the two single beds and opened it. Only a crack. Fred hated it open all the way. Brought in a breeze, he'd say. "Maybe that'll bring the heat down."

It had been a long hot day. James's hair stuck to the back of his neck as he walked down the path to the gate in front of his parent's cottage. He leaned over it, sighing, as there was no sign of life moving along the dirt road. The wind was picking up now, rolling across the field that bordered the road, rippling it as though it were a great golden ocean. Dark clouds were appearing on the horizon, framing the gold with dark blue. James looked over into Mrs. Wittle's yard, where the well endowed Mrs. Wittle herself was hastily pulling down her laundry in anticipation of the impending storm. She glanced at the clouds worryingly as she pulled down her last pair of pinstriped knickers, catching James in her eyesight and waving. James waved back, watching as she turned and collected her lawn gnomes and took them inside with her. James turned his attention back to the road, ruffling his hair in the wind. No sign of Sirius yet, but his excitement was mounting as the clouds approached. The da

Harry Potter versus TwilightHarry Potter versus TwilightHarry Potter versus Twilight5 years ago in Editorial More Like This
I am sick and tired of hearing about this Harry Potter versus Twilight thing. The books and authors have nothing in common, except that they are well known and quite popular amongst many people. However even then it is stupid to compare the two. I first saw this comparison when they set up a section in our school library with a board that said If you love Stephenie Meyer, youll love and had a bunch of retarded vampire books underneath (All retarded but with the exception of Vampirates. Theyre vampire pirates. How much more awesome can you get?). There was a newspaper clipping of an article calling Meyer the new J.K. Rowling. By that time I had already read the three books that were out and I was like WUT?! I thought that the Twilight books were good but very overall mediocre and completely different to Harry Potter in every way. Comparing them seemed absolutely ludicrous. Since then my opinion of the books has gone

It's been a fair few years since I've seen you and the others from the team. It'd be nice if we all met up to catch up with each other. So, if you'd like to meet up, come to the Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade on the 16th. I know Harry and Angelina are definitely coming, so it'd be nice if you did. Hopefully, I'll see you there.
I stared blankly at the letter for a few moments. This is just like Oliver, trying to get the old Quidditch team together. But, not everyone would be there. There would definitely be one person missing. Fred. It'd been five years since he had been killed, and each day seemed lonelier than the last without him. Fred had been my twin, best friend, and partner in crime. He had run the joke shop with me, but I now ran it by myself, since Ron had stopped working there. I missed Fred, more than anyone else.
I decided that I would go to the Three Broomsticks to meet up with everyone. It would be nice to see everyone aga

I personally feel that Harry Potter is SO much better than Twilight. I started reading Harry Potter when I was in the 4th grade and I really wanted to read something. I wasnt much of a reader at all. In my search for something to read, my Language Arts teacher recommended to read Harry Potter, I went home and picked up my sisters copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I was hooked as soon as I read Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number 4 Privet Drive were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. I read all the books until the 5th one, which was the latest book out at the time, seeing as Half Blood Prince would be coming out that summer, I reserved my copy of HBP at the local Barnes and Noble received my copy at midnight. Since I started reading Harry Potter, I have been an avid reader.
Twilight was simply something to read post-Harry Potter.

"I figured I should get like a memory for all this. Y'know, like a piece of history," Ron smiled.
She sighed heavily. "What? Our faces plastered everywhere and interviews every five seconds aren't enough for you?"
Ron shook his head slightly and laughed. She didn't understand. He wasn't doing it for the memory of it. He was doing it in honor of her. Ron sat down in the chair and held out his left arm. The artist prepped his forearm and asked, "Where do you want it mate?"
"Right here," Ron said, indicating a line alongside his bright blue vein. The artist laid down the piece of paper, rubbed it firmly on his arm, and peeled it back slowly and evenly.
"But seriously? The Muggle way? I can easily do it with magic if you want it so badly! AND we wouldn't need to pay £30!" Hermione added, "Your mum is gonna kill me for allowing you to do this "
The tattooist loaded his clean needle, held down Ron's arm onto the armrest, and asked, "Y

The battles over.
Everyone I care about...
He... He saved me.
I need to find Potter.
I need to tell him...
Running through the corridors, feeling the cold cobblestone floor beneath my feet. Searching everywhere for Potter. I finally reach the main hall and he's there helping the injured and I smile slightly. He was always caring. I clear my throat and he looks at me then looks away and I sigh. This is going to be harder than I thought.
Goes over to him slowly. "Potter, I really need to talk with you. In private. Please."
He looks at me shocked, oh right I never say please yet alone ever want to talk to Potter. He nods slightly and I lead him down one of the corridors and into the abandoned clock tower and he just stares at me. "I'm sorry for everything Potter. I understand if you never forgive me but I... I didn't mean to hurt so many people... Or even be a Death Eater... I didn't want any of it just... My f
