High in the mountains, a boy just sat there, on his rock, thinking about what got him there. He had been a beggar in the town where he was born. His parents had died when he was 5, and he had always had to depend on others.
One day, he was begging for food in the town square, when the richest person in town saw him. This man turned to the town guard's men that were standing nearby, and ask them to remove the boy from the town. "Take him to the mountains," He had said, "Maybe an animal will get him." "We can't do that without a reason." Said a guard, the boy knew this guard well. "And he hasn't hurt anything." "How about this for a reason?" he said, holding out money for the guard. "No we can't take-" he started to say.
His buddy interrupted him. "Well this time I can make an exception." His buddy said, taking the money from the man. The guard walked over to the boy. "You there, get up!" he said angrily, "You're coming with m

He sighed again, and looked out at the village, hoping something would happen. Then, he got his wish.
"Hey Roger!" said the brown, teenage dragon.
"Yes, Sam?" said her green twin brother.
"They just let the cows out to graze at the outer farm!" Sam said, licking her lips. "What do you say? Between the two of us, we should be able to lift one."

Metal shook his head, bringing himself to the present. He had been asked to liberate this church from the hands of a ruthless gang leader. The mission called for stealth, so it was just him and another knight going into battle. Waiting, Metal smelled the wind. They had just lit their fire, meaning that they were going to relax for the night. They hadn't planned on Metal sticking his sword in their plans.
Metal watched carefully as the last of their guards went to bed. He motioned for his ally to follow, and he crept down to the chapel door. He opened it, then shouted a battle cry as he raised his weapon and charged.

The boy, barely sixteen years old, had once lived a happy life with his family. His mother and father, for the first fourteen years of his life, had raised and cared for him as any loving parents should. But then tragedy struck as war started up again in the Middle East. Both of his parents were called into the fray, donning the camouflage of the American Military and flying overseas.
The teenager had lived with his aunt and uncle for about a year, continually receiving letters from his parents wishing him well and telling him how well the war was going. But then, one day, the letters stopped.
A military officer arrived a few days later, regretfully informing the stunned boy that his parents had both f

An 18 year old boy called Phil woke up in the middle of a grassy plain. His head throbbed in pain and he put one of his hands on his forehead and began to rub. Was he asleep or unconscious? He wasn't sure. As he rubbed, his hand touched some odd metallic object resting on his face. He picked it up and noticed that they were a pair of glasses. He put them back on and stood up. He felt weak, very weak and it took all of his strength to stand up. A slight breeze whistled past, brushing his face with soothing cold air. The breeze also coasted the top of the grass that lay around him. He looked down and saw that he wore a black, plain t-shirt, blue navy jeans, and a pair of brown leather boots. He was also wearing a small ring on the index

Shadrel Drian ran as quickly as he could through the dense forest. the loud yells from the Enemy Soldiers were ever present, chasing after him. Shadrel felt the wind of several arrows wip past his cheeks, legs, and shoulders. A few hit the tree in front of him, an inch or two away from his face. He had to escape the soldiers as fast as possible, but where could he go? He ran for what felt like an hour. His legs were becoming stiff and his chest begged for oxygen with stabbing pains. Adrenaline was the only thing keeping him going.
Suddenly, He felt an agonizing stab in his shoulder. Turning, he saw that one of the arrows had made it's mark. The soldiers were close enough now to get a good shot. Shadrel clasped his free hand to his shoulder. Adrenaline spiked, he criss crossed tree after tree and crouched to make a harder target. Aother arrow his it's mark, this time hitting him in the hip. In the middle of a desert, or more like a sandy wasteland. A boy awoke, opening his eyes slowly. Panic starting to seep into his mind upon seeing the sand. He put his hand on the back of his dark brown hair, removing his hand quickly afterwards with a pained expression. He looked over seeing a backpack. Slowly he crawled across the burning sand and opened it, finding a half empty bottle of water, a bandage, and a note saying good luck. He let out a low growl crushing the note, tossing it aside, then he put the backpack on and started walking in a random direction.
A few miles away, a female dragon with vibrant purple scales flew, enjoying the desert heat.
The boy continued on, shielding his eyes with one hand. Dehydration was already kicking in, but he didn't want to drink the water 'till he absolutely had to.
He reached the top of a sand dune, letting out an irritated laugh as he saw miles upon miles of desert. He started shaking his head then pressed on

The wyvern's tongue slowly swept across the corners of her mouth, clearing her jawline of the drool that was seeping from her saliva glands from anticipation. In her clutches was a young elf she had snatched up from his journey home from the butcher's shop in town.
Not even touching the ground, she had dove from the skies, talons outstretched and gleaming, and whisked her victim into the air with her into the upper branches of a large tree nearby. She had no malicious feelings towards the elves living nearby, but the recent arrival of a small family of dragons had made hunting difficult for the aged wyvern. Physically, dragons were far stronger and could easily overpower a wyvern in combat without ever needing to resort to their famed fiery breath. Standing one's ground to defend their catch from one would almost certainly result in the death of the wyvern, or at least leaving it to limp away with grave injuries. With her selection of food quickly being reduced, with the dragons pre

I have no idea how long I have been running and hiding for, but at least I know it has been awhile. I ducked under a bush, trying to catch my breath and hoping to hide from my pursuer. Did I catch my breath? Sorta, did I throw off my pursuer? Possibly by now you would want to know who and what is my pursuer, where I am, who I am, what I am (answering this one right now, I`m human) and why I`m talking to myself and pretending like I`m talking to someone at the same time. In a dense patch of wilderness, far from any civilization, was a village. The village, though self dependent, was a decent place to live. It looked like something straight out of the middle ages; the houses were built out of common materials, such as wood and straw, and many of the people in the village were farmers. The village knew about the world outside, but kept to itself; they found life in the wilderness appealing. There was no village leader; it was a completely democratic society, where they would join together and decide in issues in a clearing to the south. It was not paradise, but it was home.
In this village lived a young man by the name of Daniel. Daniel was about age eighteen, and not particularly athletic. He was very good with politics in his village, however, and his father was looked up to
