Loved the idea of a bird cage as part of the concept for the shoot - decided to put in the butterflies in the last minute cos butterflies are pretty much a recurring theme in xxxholic.
My base kimono was tailored. All other accessories were made by me. The butterfly obi was a killer in the sense that I wanted to make it look soft, but still have the shape of the butterfly's wings. So i used a craft foam base first, found it too heavy, took out the craft foam and replaced it with wire. Found out that velvet is pretty enduring when it comes to tearing out glue and stitches. LOL
