The entire story, characters, and style really resonated with me. So of course I had to create my own personal Woona to keep me company while I watch MLP, listen to music, and of course read Moonstuck.
This sculpt is made completely from scratch out of Fimo sculpting clay. It stands roughly 5 1/2 inches tall. It is not quite ready for paint, as I still have a decent amount of fine detail sanding and prep work to do, but I thought it had reached the point where I could share it as a WIP.
I would love to hear any comments, critiques, words of encouragement, anything that you may have to offer.
I will probably be finishing her up this weekend and will post finished pics then. Until then, I hope you have a great day.
I originally drew a design for this (and several others) for my thesis work for school. But the my customer chose another design so I never got to make it. So now, I made it in doll size. xD The newspaper fabric leftover is what I used in the actual thesis, too. (I'll post photos of it when we get to taking proper ones sometime during this spring.)
An SG sized corset that just barely covers the chest and rises a bit at the back. Fully boned, functional buttons in the front and eyelets at the back. Made from cotton and cotton-linen mix fabrics and cotton crochet lace.
I've had this outfit in my head for a long time and just recently got around to making it, go me for completions @_@ /
The underbust corset and armband [that you can't see in this pic] I made using tin siding sheets. Kind of different than I first imagined it, but I liked the final result considering it's my first run working with tin in general, plus I only cut myself on the metal a few times so it's all good [metal cuts frikkin hurt though, just fyi D:]
The skirt is based off some skirt I saw in one of the Gothic rorita extra books. I really liked the deconstructed feel of the original design and did my own version, via Saiyuri twist. The little half top thing is similar to the one I made for Fuan about 2 years ago and it showcased jussssst enough of her boobies to fit.
->The skirt is made from vintage kimono fabrics for the most part and is fully lined, snap closures with safety pin deco. ->The metal underbust half corset, the [not seen] arm band and the [barely seen] shin guard is all made from Tin siding and lined in plither with side lacings in leather. ->The matching hair pin is made from laces and vintage kimono fabrics.
All for 60cm size.
Saiyuri is a CP Delf NS Miyu Hair, faceup, jewelry, all clothing and star pasties all done by me. I'll stick up some more full shots of other views sometime later.
