So yeah, it turns out I also do ceramics.
Other than a few half-arsed practice sculptures that were not even remotely relevant to this, this is my first proper attempt.
The idea is that you would replace one of your bathroom/shower tiles for this one and appear to have a surreal man crawling out your wall. The idea was some miracle on the spot inspiration that came into my head when I was told I could do anything I want as an outcome for my ceramics exploratory stage final peice in College.
I'm quite pleased with it, buuut, there are a few heavy flaws: I used the wrong glaze, the tile is messy, the anatomy is a little off, the clay sunk a bit when firing so it wont sit well as an installation, and, obviously, I accidently broke the fingers off.
I'd like to try again and fix all the problems, but I don't think I'll get that chance anytime soon.
