PS - his right pupil (our left) was not exactly rounded on both sides in the reference photo, and I drew it that way. Wishing I had corrected it now. Like someone once told me, if it looks strange in a photo, it will look even stranger in your drawing. Sometimes we need to take a little artistic license and change it to look more natural?
CHECK out what Vince Gilligan (creator of the show) sent me when he saw my BB drawings It Currently hangs at the Breaking Bad offices
Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehrmantraut on AMC's Original TV series "Breaking Bad"
My contact at the AMC Breaking Bad office, who is a PA Script coordinator & writer, tells me that Jonathan both saw and wants the drawing. I sent it to them 8/1/12 and they will have it framed and give it to him. Jonathan Banks points to my drawing on his wall

This is Bryan Cranston, as "Walter White" from the hit AMC original series "Breaking Bad". It is being called "the best show on TV" and IS in my opinion! In fact, it's delayed airing of Season 4 is in July, and starting TONIGHT, they are airing ALL 3 seasons, between now and when S4 starts in July.
My fav parts to draw on this one? Trying to figure out how to draw his broken glasses of course, the band-aid in the middle of his glasses and the shadow against the wall on his right I felt gave it some depth?
My Dislikes: The cut on his lip, and forehead could be better

We got to meet his partner in the show "Jessie Pinkman" played by Aaron Paul, at Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago in 2010, when our son Andrew Belle played there.
My Step work here:
As of 9-7-2012 I got this from Vince Gilligan himself, after sending this original to his office headquarters, where it hangs proudly in the entry hall for cast, crew, etc to view
Breaking Bad fans know this is Aaron Paul, who recently won an Emmy Award for "Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series" for his role as “Jesse Pinkman” in AMC's hit show "Breaking Bad". I don't allow myself to obsess over any TV shows or celebrities, but Breaking Bad is my SOLE exception, ha! So you can imagine that we were thrilled to meet Aaron at Hard Rock Café in Chicago in 2010, while watching our son Andrew Belle perform. He is a super nice guy, and when you spend literally dozens of hours with a TV character, you feel as if you know them? A few days ago, I @ mentioned Aaron (@aaronpaul_8) on twitter and said that if he followed me on twitter, I would draw him a large double portrait of him and Bryan Cranston" and he agreed! (twitter.com/rickfortson) However, he would rather I create a different drawing that he would hang in his personal home
Last week, I finally mailed my original “Walter White” drawing to Vince Gilligan (show creator) who is having it framed and hung in the official Breaking Bad office! Last December, Vince Gilligan had somehow seen my drawings and had his assistant email me to get my home address, and then sent me some fan SWAG from the show, along with a hand written thank you note. Of course, I remain blown away that he did that!

Synopsis: Breaking Bad is an American television drama series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. Set and produced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), with the aim of securing his family's financial future before he dies.
FIRST...Luis just joined DA so he could comment below (lmoncada77), so everyone go "watch" him [link]
SECOND...BOTH views are LARGER than actual drawing (had to draw small, see below)
This is Luis Moncada. He and his brother Daniel played The Salamanca brothers, the Cartel Killer Hit men on Breaking Bad, Season 3 - episodes 1 through 6. I will be sending the original to Luis, and plan to draw several other characters from the show.
Season 5 will start July 15th and is said to have 8 episodes this summer, with 8 more episodes in the summer of 2013, which will either be considered Season 6 or the 2nd 1/2 of season 5. Either way, it will be the final season
This may have been my most challenging drawing, BECAUSE the largest reference photo I could find was not large enough to view fine details. Neither Luis himself or the Art Dept at Breaking Bad could find a larger file! If not for Luis working with me on this, letting me know the details were correct as I went along, I could not, and would not have attempted this, no matter how much I wanted to draw the photo. You guys know EXACTLY what I mean!?! I was basically imagining the details. One of the things I had to do, was draw this as SMALL as possible, so I could draw from a smaller than typical reference photo, because I could see more details when I printed the ref pic smaller

Well, I FINALLY finished this! It wasn't because it was too difficult, but because I've had so much business in the past 6 weeks, and I've either been too busy, or too tired Also, I recently got a new computer and decided to get Modern Warfare games, which I love. Another reason, is that I had finished this all the way to the hair and hand, the 2 things I enjoy drawing least. Anyway, it's TOO large for my scanner, so I had to use a digital camera. I will get a better show one day, and replace this, because it is not 100% in focus to see the details. This was the best shot out of about 50 so good enough

I've had the reference photo of this saved for over a year. I loved the highlights and the challenge with his hair and the "negative space" work required. I'm still too impatient to do it correctly, but this is the best I can do for now.
