The photo I used reminded me of this quote from the trailer. [link]
[Barnabas stares at a lava lamp] Barnabas Collins: [drools at the "blood" inside] Aaahhhh...
I made his eyes red for the obvious reason the hunger of blood that he is craving. I felt it would stand out and make an impact. I loved this expression and couldn't resist. I previously started this a few days before I found out about the contest. When I found out, my jaw dropped hitting my table and then I couldn't sit still for a hour or so.
Inspiration I used while working on this, I listened to alot of Danny Elfman music. I listened to the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack the most. Music really helps with concentration but what other way for this piece than to listen to some Elfman music.
Helped me with the template, if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have been able to submit this to the contest.

I imagine for attacks his jaws could crack open even more and swallow players by the dozens which would need to be rescued before digested. Attacking his sides near the stomach where the growth is very replenishing, so a high amount of dps inorder to break through the ever regrowing vines.
Fireflies that might land on players and explode.. poisonous pollen sifting down, slowing down players gradually placing a time limit on his defeat before they die.
His spikes could break off, turning in to treant like creatures which would have to be rounded up and AoE'd down, or tanked separately. In order to replenish those spikes, he could dig halfway in to the ground, taking nutrients from the soil. Players might find this a good time to attack him, but be careful as the spikes will pop back out as he replenishes his strengths and potentially impale or damage near by players.
His entwined tail could dig in to the dirt and attack people from below as well as just being a thorned flail.
This is my concept that I feel evokes confidence in a thought of never blending in. The theme and title is "ISTANDOUT" that was designed to highlight the 2014 Lexus IS 250 F Sport exterior features while carefully choosing modifications that is executable within the 10-week build period.

As someone who had attended SEMA since 1996, as well as designed cars for it, this was a challenge I couldn't pass up.
This art was made for the contest rift, which had to choose one of the themes (water, fire, earth, air, life and death), and I did with the theme "life", yes it may seem but the water will be . Here in Brazil the name of the jellyfish is living water, then water is as life itself, I made a little joke and put it with a piece of shock that paramedics use to revive people. And he gave it.
