I've been away on break for a while, but now I'm back it's time for another contest!
We decided to run things a little differently to start off this Aircraft round. The Admins decided amongst themselves to give ~kalsidon a free reign with the theme as they always come up with interesting and varied suggestions.
The theme for this round will be: 'Punk Tech'.
If you have suggestions for the theme, feel free to join us on Facebook as an alternative method of sharing your ideas. http://www.facebook.com/concepteez or post your suggestions in a comment below.
The winner and the contenders may see their work featured in our next Concepteez's issue. Make sure your work is of a high standard (a4 size) and save wip shots to be qualified.
Aircraft Contest – Punk Tech.
You all have 2 weeks from now to finish your entry. There is a timer on the front page

And all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages. At first the infant, Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
And then the whining school boy, with his satchel And shining morning face, creeping like snail Unwillingly to school.
And then the lover, Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad Made to his mistress' eyebrow.

Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths and beaded like the pard, Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel, Seeking the bubble reputation Even in the cannon's mouth.

An Artistic Statement..."HOW? I don't need to explain why I do what I do, I create; that's my purpose in life. An outlook on HOW its made and HOW it affects the result."An Artistic Statement...2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Here's to the start of my master's degree in Visual Arts...
YUK-buitar deserves more. After looking at :iconYuk-buitar:'s last submitted deviation, and noticing it only had 2 faves, I decided to make a journal to try and draw some much deserved attention to his gallery. He's a really good artist with a weird and unique style, and most of his stuff barely gets noticed. I know a lot of the people who watch me may not care for his syle of art, but take a look anyway, and see if you find anything you like. I mean, since I watched the guy in March, he's only had ten more watchers, whereas I've gained many more than that, and my artistic skill isn't even close to his level. I guess I find that a bit unfair.YUK-buitar deserves more.4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Anyway, here are a couple of pictures in his gallery to start you off if you want to check this guy's art out:
deviantART and Journal spam: what we're doing!Spam is a constant thorn in the side of every Internet user's daily life. From the mundane to the surreal, these emails appear in our inboxes so frequently, messages from South African attorneys offering $10 million dollars get marked as spam without a second thought to savvy users.deviantART and Journal spam: what we're doing!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
We define spam as the misuse of communication systems to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately to our deviants. Typically, the content of spam messages is aimed at advertising a product that is often counterfeit or potentially malicious. With the rise of social networking, there's been an increase in more direct spamming -- companies who directly target your social network profiles.
"Over the last few years, deviantART has had a small but unfortunate stream of such abuse. Usually, it’s as easy as banning the offending members and moving on to more pressing problems, but recently something happened that caused us to re-evaluate how we handle spam issues."
