First thing you should do is open up Photoshop and make a new......uh.....project. Set it to whatever you want. If you're just doodling and don't know what you're going to draw yet, it's best to make your canvas bigger and go to about 800x800 or something.
Now you should have your canvas and the layer named "background". I usually leave the background layer blank, just in case. Make 2 new layers, and lock the top one. Call the bottom one draft/rough/sketch/something around that and call the top one good or whatever just to remind you what they're for. Set the draft layer to 50% opacity and select it.
This is practically the part where you take your tablet and sketch whatever you want (using a brush size of 3 pixels or less). It's best to think of your tablet like a piece of paper or a page in your sketchbook. Draw like you would on paper. Use chicken-scratch lines. Since you're drawing in the draft layer there's no need to be clean and corr
