Just a raw render using ink n paint shader. Added some more details to emphasise the scale of the ship As you can see i split up the larger pipes into smaller ones, segmented the armored hull exterior of the top to break up the curves slightly and add some line dynamics, added some louvred style cells along the passenger area and also recessed the top turrents slightly into the ship. This is rendered with 6 duplicated objects so the center is orthographic (i think i will re-render and photoshop in a perspective for the 3d) I think the line render looks best rather than trying to emulate 3d with textures. Also need to add some dimensioning and presentation stuff (not sure if the clean or some sort of techy/grungy approach would be better). Also i have no idea what to call it D:
Anyway i havent worked too much on this because ive kinda started playing Aion (addictively), though i should get this finished before the deadline
I haven't played the game. I just based this off the resource material provided. I gave this character a dragon motif, hence the scale armor and the head gear (also partially based off the dragoon class of FF games).
Just hoping maybe I'll be chosen (even as one of the finalists)... I will cross my fingers now. ^_^" Otherwise, enjoy!!!
Conceived in hate and built in madness, the Dollmaster is the embodiment of cruelty; using the dolls it fashions from the husks of its victims, the monster lures its prey with a decoy, and then eviscerates their mind with the hollow needle in its beak. The Dollmaster lives off the fluids of both organic and mechanical creatures and, before the war, was responsible for the deaths of countless humans, though considerably smaller. The dials of its left eye spin madly, and at any given time, it can see ten seconds into the future, although this function take seven hours to recharge.
I derived the rudimentary appearance from a medieval Plague Doctor, the rest was developed through various stages of conception.
My entry for the RIFT Colossus contest. A re imagining of my Lighthouse Keeper.
An enormous sentinel, originally built purely for defensive purposes before it gained sentience and started to walk the lands.
In its original form it was tasked with guarding an empire from invaders. The "lighthouse" structure on its peak beams out deadly rays of scorching light that obliterate everything in its sight, making it a deadly warrior.
Now it uses its power at random, a low hum preceding the death bringing light of destruction.
