And heard her dreams, like fading echoes, softly fall apart.
He whispered to her gently, and sang a soothing song.
Entwined her soul into his own, and carried it along.
He held her like a seashell, and listened to her heart.
And kissed her for eternity--nevermore apart.

For all of time, my soul
While I live, as I breathe
Until I grow so very old
Your presence has transformed
The nature of existence
Altering a dead end path
No trace of fate's resistance
The songs which fill my smiles
The breeze of first caress
Fade for want of you, my dear
Entwined in evening's dress
In ruins for all pleasure,
Obsessions, and for care
Eyes cannot enchant my heart
All smiles now beware
The sunset lacks in luster
It cries out to the black
A trailing of the precious light
And presence that I lack
No lust sustains to slake
No colors bold as love
I fall, I fail unsatisfied
The world is not enough
I am in ruins
For now and all of time
For what I was and am, my love
and one day leave behind

The love I feel for you, is like that for no other.
Because you're the one who's taught me,

In the years ahead, you'll come to knowledge and insight that cannot be conveyed in words. I could tell you what you'll experience and see and feel. But I'd never be able to make you understand, not really. There are so many things, my younger soul, which you just cannot get from a book or a story; no matter how smart you are or how much you wish it were so. So instead of simple advice, I'll offer you something far more valuablehope!
Although you will experience pain, you will also experience healing. For in that process you grow. Although you will know sadness, there will also be great joy. Don't dwell too much on either one, but instead seek the steady embrace of contentment. It's here that we find our greatest peace. In your darkest moments of rage, hold on to that noble part of you called forgiveness, for that is life and anger--death.
Many of your disappointments in the years to come will actually be blessings in disguise, as they will clear the path for b

Fare thee well with life's uncertainty,

Walk ye true on your life's journey.
Walk ye true through pain and tears.
Walk ye true with your most chosen.
Quiet blessings for all your years.
Fare thee well when you're most lost.
Fare thee well when you are home.
Fare thee well in all endeavors,
for you never walk alone.
Silent prayers your way are given.
Silent prayers for safe returns.
Silent prayers now are delivered,

May you dwell in days of concord.
May you live in harmony.
May you never know unhappiness
and your heart be always free.
Fare thee well,

Goodnight Demon SlayerThere's a monster beneath my bed. There's one in the closet as well. Every night they come out to scare me. Every night it's a different monster. They don't know. They don't know that I am The Slayer. The monsters that come to my room are not an accident. I lure them in with my sweet innocent behavior. They hide behind my door and under my bed until the night is deep and dark. This is when they strike, but I know them far too well. My blade is quicker, my eyes better adjusted; keener is my gaze as the howl of the demons I slay pierces the night. The deep purple blood drips from the wound, down my arm and I smirk a wicked smirk that has no pity. I hear my mother say, "Good night demon slayer. like sylphs among the trees.
A languid poison, rich and sweet
filled each and every glass
it kissed their lips with want and left
its bruise upon the grass.
It moved like lovers, so wanton soft
in heavy, tangled sighs
and held them willing prisoners
betrayed with whispered lies.
Desire, like a living thing
crept forth to steal their breath;
it stilled the blood within their veins
in shadowed blooms of death.
They slipped into a coil of dreams,
pale visions brushing skin
that plucked the hearts from in their chests
and broke them from within.
And now, deep lost in lethargy,
they wait with stricken sighs,
to know their world has now become
the ruin of paradise...

Ascending the apex of Samadhi
Each breath of life is painful realization
Scared and alone unaware of Heavens true light
we would rather shackle our responsibilities
upon the shoulders of a higher power
before a feigned purpose folds in on itself
Because we are not strong enough for our freedom
Bearing our little woes and greatest joys
Atlas must walk forever, unknown to the world
Appointed to maintain the border of reality
and what is only belief
Decomposing faith and manipulative helplessness
have brought him to his knees
Age'd hands quiver as blood seeps from calluses
Unable to carry the sky any further
Tears manage to form through sweat
as he first glares at his fists
then gazes upon the world he has protected

Love God Yet Hate His Followers?(1/13/2013)Love God Yet Hate His Followers?3 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
I've been seeing this statement going around from non-Christians as well as people who claim to be Christian. And it's especially troubling coming from people who claim to be Christian. So here I've decided to write about it.
Is it really possible to "love God yet hate His followers" (or other people for that matter)? Can you be a Christian and hate other people, including other Christians?
The short answer is NO.
And no, this is not an opinion. Any person who claims to be Christian ought to know what the two greatest commandments are:
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul

IntoleranceThe world claims we are intolerant.Intolerance3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
That we are weak fools.
Claiming our beliefs are lies
While they worship false knowledge and sparsely dressed idols.
They persecute us and slander our names
While they roll in their adulteries and drink the blood of the saints.
They feed off lies and hide in the shadows,
Persecuting us for following the light.
We put up our crosses and hang our signs
While they scream at us to take it down,
Claiming it is offensive.
But when they hang up images of naked idols and scream profanities and practice their dark arts,
And we ask them to take it down, saying it is offensive,
They merely laugh
And wave us away.
They allow the practice of witchcraft
The screaming of profanities
Encourage evil deeds
Lust for blood spill
Spread deception and harmful rumors
And promote acts of impurity.
Yet they refuse to allow Scripture and the church.
They make it illegal to teach the Word to those who need it most
And punish those who try or even mention its name,

An angel fell to Earth last night
And crashed into the snow
No one knew from where it came
Only singed feathers would ever know.
The city streets are full of noise
They shatter the peace in the green
We paid it no mind until it was gone
What was once past will never be seen.
An angel fell from the stars last night
I awoke to find its imprint in the snow
I thought it was only children's play
Atop my shovel, the feathers blow.
We know more about what happened a world away
Then whether our neighbours are happy and safe
We weep for those who write digital tales
But towards our own families, we chafe.
An angel fell from the clouds last night
Buried deep beneath the powder white snow
When spring came and uncovered its body
We only complained that the flowers won't grow.

believe our God exists.
You cannot stay in a state of lacking belief in God. After all, my dog doesn't believe in God, either, but she's not an atheist. To state that you simply don't believe is not sufficient. There must be a reason. On a similar note, I don't believe "blind faith" is sufficient either. I don't just "believe" in God, I have reasons for my beliefs. Either you have accepted the idea of God, or you have rejected it.
So what is the cause for your rejection? What is the basis that you found this view on? When put under speculation, is it adequate? Is it flawed? Is it subjective? This first section of my "essay" deals with reasons you might have for rejecting that our God exists, and refuting them.
I believe there is no God because . . .
1. There's no proof.
That statement is subjective. I'm probably going to use this word a lot, so here's a quick definition: subjective means biased or one-s

Or the one time you will take notice
Is when I am no longer there.
I am not the echo of a past dream;
I do more than simply exist.
I am here.
I am fact.

These things I haven't forgotten,

My hands have been lazy, my tongue has fouled many hearts and minds, my eyes have given into fleshly desires, my lips have touched sacred essences that were never meant to be mine, and my teeth have torn greedily into gifts that I have taken for granted. I thank you for your incomparable mercy and understanding, and beg for you, my Father, to wash me clean of my sins and debts with your own flesh and blood of your one and only son Jesus Christ, and to fill me with the Holy Spirit so as to be guided in your amazing plans.
I know now that you understand the pains, you know there will truly be no rest for us and the wicked until the day we are to go back to the realms we came from.
Father, I reside in the dark...and your light is shining within me. I am a misfit among the wicked...a hybrid...a gentle monster...and it's you who has claimed me as your own. Through you, I can be free to be who I am, what I am, with no regrets or

The dreamer who dreamed too high.
A myth to subdue glory-seeking youth.
It's the tale of a foolish boy who dared to try to reach the sun,
But the heat was too great,
and his make-shift wings melted,
Dooming him to the frothing waves below.
But is that really the truth?
Maybe it's not a cautionary tale,
But one of hope-
Of hope for all dreamers to come.
He didn't fail to touch the sun,
Rather he touched the greatest glory.
He soared past the bewildered birds,
On past the highest mountains,
On past cold reality
And cruel calculation
And upon finding this nova of truest truths and most joyful joys,
He broke free from his mortal shell,
Leaving his story for future dreamers to tell.
