He held her like a seashell, and listened to her heart.
And heard her dreams, like fading echoes, softly fall apart.
He whispered to her gently, and sang a soothing song.
Entwined her soul into his own, and carried it along.
He held her like a seashell, and listened to her heart.
And kissed her for eternity--nevermore apart.

Fare thee well through days of darkness.
Fare thee well in times untold.
Fare thee well with life's uncertainty,
and the sorrows you behold.
Walk ye true on your life's journey.
Walk ye true through pain and tears.
Walk ye true with your most chosen.
Quiet blessings for all your years.
Fare thee well when you're most lost.
Fare thee well when you are home.
Fare thee well in all endeavors,
for you never walk alone.
Silent prayers your way are given.
Silent prayers for safe returns.
Silent prayers now are delivered,
that your worries aren't concerns.
May you dwell in days of concord.
May you live in harmony.
May you never know unhappiness
and your heart be always free.
Fare thee well,
my blessed child.
Fare thee well.
Fare thee well.

For all of time, my soul
While I live, as I breathe
Until I grow so very old
Your presence has transformed
The nature of existence
Altering a dead end path
No trace of fate's resistance
The songs which fill my smiles
The breeze of first caress
Fade for want of you, my dear
Entwined in evening's dress
In ruins for all pleasure,
Obsessions, and for care
Eyes cannot enchant my heart
All smiles now beware
The sunset lacks in luster
It cries out to the black
A trailing of the precious light
And presence that I lack
No lust sustains to slake
No colors bold as love
I fall, I fail unsatisfied
The world is not enough
I am in ruins
For now and all of time
For what I was and am, my love
and one day leave behind

Ascending the apex of Samadhi
Each breath of life is painful realization
Scared and alone unaware of Heavens true light
we would rather shackle our responsibilities
upon the shoulders of a higher power
before a feigned purpose folds in on itself
Because we are not strong enough for our freedom
Bearing our little woes and greatest joys
Atlas must walk forever, unknown to the world
Appointed to maintain the border of reality
and what is only belief
Decomposing faith and manipulative helplessness
have brought him to his knees
Age'd hands quiver as blood seeps from calluses
Unable to carry the sky any further
Tears manage to form through sweat
as he first glares at his fists
then gazes upon the world he has protected

and felt the wasting warm grow thick
like sylphs among the trees.
A languid poison, rich and sweet
filled each and every glass
it kissed their lips with want and left
its bruise upon the grass.
It moved like lovers, so wanton soft
in heavy, tangled sighs
and held them willing prisoners
betrayed with whispered lies.
Desire, like a living thing
crept forth to steal their breath;
it stilled the blood within their veins
in shadowed blooms of death.
They slipped into a coil of dreams,
pale visions brushing skin
that plucked the hearts from in their chests
and broke them from within.
And now, deep lost in lethargy,
they wait with stricken sighs,
to know their world has now become
the ruin of paradise...

I wrote it about deep blue eyes and crooked smiles,
Awkward little moments that I could sing about for the rest of our days,
I wrote this about secret hugs and kisses,
Lost shoes and priceless lines that I couldn't ever forget.
This is about inside jokes and tears of laughter,
Looking up to the stars on a summers night,
Silent next to a flame,
Wishing things could be different right now.
I wrote this about holding hands and fast heart beats,
About little comments that seem so ordinary but mean the world to a lonely heart,
It's about clichés and laughing when no one is speaking,
This is about mistakes that were made from hopeless love,
That could only fade with lack of desperation,
I wrote this about the tears that fall like the setting sun,
And wipe away like waves in the ocean,
This is about the turning of seasons and the changing of promised emotions,
It's about reckless words pouring out of the mouth like rain,
Icy cold rain,

No one ever took the time, to braid my hair.
So I might not know how, but I'm getting there.
I didn't have anyone, to teach me to cook.
But I promise that YOU, won't have to learn from a book.
The love I feel for you, is like that for no other.
Because you're the one who's taught me,
how to be a Mother.

An angel fell to Earth last night
And crashed into the snow
No one knew from where it came
Only singed feathers would ever know.
The city streets are full of noise
They shatter the peace in the green
We paid it no mind until it was gone
What was once past will never be seen.
An angel fell from the stars last night
I awoke to find its imprint in the snow
I thought it was only children's play
Atop my shovel, the feathers blow.
We know more about what happened a world away
Then whether our neighbours are happy and safe
We weep for those who write digital tales
But towards our own families, we chafe.
An angel fell from the clouds last night
Buried deep beneath the powder white snow
When spring came and uncovered its body
We only complained that the flowers won't grow.

Sometimes it's enough.
I am not content with simply being.
I am not a potential;
I am a fact.
Do not deny me as nothing more
Than the painting that hangs on your wall;
I am not your decoration
I am not your safety blanket.
I am and I think.
I think therefore...
Ignore me not
Or the one time you will take notice
Is when I am no longer there.
I am not the echo of a past dream;
I do more than simply exist.
I am here.
I am fact.
Love God Yet Hate His Followers?(1/13/2013)Love God Yet Hate His Followers?2 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
I've been seeing this statement going around from non-Christians as well as people who claim to be Christian. And it's especially troubling coming from people who claim to be Christian. So here I've decided to write about it.
Is it really possible to "love God yet hate His followers" (or other people for that matter)? Can you be a Christian and hate other people, including other Christians?
The short answer is NO.
And no, this is not an opinion. Any person who claims to be Christian ought to know what the two greatest commandments are:
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul

believe our God exists.
You cannot stay in a state of lacking belief in God. After all, my dog doesn't believe in God, either, but she's not an atheist. To state that you simply don't believe is not sufficient. There must be a reason. On a similar note, I don't believe "blind faith" is sufficient either. I don't just "believe" in God, I have reasons for my beliefs. Either you have accepted the idea of God, or you have rejected it.
So what is the cause for your rejection? What is the basis that you found this view on? When put under speculation, is it adequate? Is it flawed? Is it subjective? This first section of my "essay" deals with reasons you might have for rejecting that our God exists, and refuting them.
I believe there is no God because . . .
1. There's no proof.
That statement is subjective. I'm probably going to use this word a lot, so here's a quick definition: subjective means biased or one-s

But to what end was this gift given?
To grant me the pleasures of two sights
Or to give me twice the joy of your face?
For a morning has not passed
That your name has not been on my lips
Or the memory of your gaze
Has been banished from my mind
With every beat of my heart
It speaks not with a simple sound
But with your name as lion's roar
Rather than the squeak of a mouse
Madonna; my angel of chaos
For what man can call love
Anything but 'chaos' or crazy
Even if that madness would taste sweet
But my angel, yet here I sit
Lonesome with my mind
That doth argue with my heart
Over matters of reason and love
For what reason can there be in love?
What love can be organised and labelled
For if such an adoration can be explained to the fullest
Then it ceases to be love and the taste is bitter...
...and I have tasted that bitterness.
It rested on my tongue for days and months
Whilst my heart rested in the palms of a devil
Dressed so slyly as an angel fair
But oh keeper

Blinded I was that I couldn't see
All the things in her eyes I can never be
I swallow pride and bite hard the lip
Trying not to let the wrong words slip
But sarcasm from her lips they did drip
Consequences and feelings were dished out on razors tongue
Slashing at the broken that I have become
And like dust in a hurricane, the damage was done
But I still love you

So you plead mercy

AutumnAutumn4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Falling like the autumn leaves,
Gracefully to the ground.
My nervous chest pounds and heaves,
And my cheeks flush red.
You were the breeze that picked me up,
And threw me through the air,
Sending me spiraling and spinning around,
Although you never said you'd play fair.
Soaring through this uplifting high,
Changing hues at your smile,
Dizzying spins throw me around.
My composure's now abandoned me,
It's been gone for awhile.
My crimson heart floats through the sky,
Propelled by the autumn breeze,
Plunging through the crisp, clear sky,
Not making a single sound
One question haunts my weary mind.
"Will you catch me before I hit the ground?
Or will I end up like the rest,
Dead and shriveled on this cold autumn ground?"

The snap in your fingers,
And the sparkle in your eye,
Everything that makes you, who you are,
But that wont ever happen again.
Now let's look back at things for a moment,
Let us remind ourselves who said I love you and promised forever,
who promised always.
These things I haven't forgotten,
Because you carved them into my heart like stone so I could never forget,
But now you take it all back,
And I can't pave over these scars.
I will see you.
You will have this smile like the stars,
With a heart like thunder,
Words like rain,
A laugh like lightning,
Shocking me into reality.
This was the storm I was trapped in,
And your warmth imitated the sun.
So tilt your head back one more time,
Snap and point in my direction and do that classic
You've been practicing.
It's almost perfect now,
But what do you do when she frowns and looks away?
Or none taken?
Cause next time she'll flash her perfect smile,

When I was still young, innocent
Someone told me the best advice
That I'd ever heard by then
To take caution when it comes to love
I listened and I followed
But I was careless, I forgot
I met you and the world changed
And now when all is done
After you've walked away
There is nothing to say
No way to explain myself
Falling out of love is hard
Some days I think almost impossible
Falling for betrayal is worst
It makes you question your whole world
Broken trust and broken hearts
That's all that love has given
And if you're done with embarrassing me
With all the lies and hurt
On your own you can go ahead tell them
That you played with my heart
Tell them all I know now
Who you really are
Shout it from the roof top
That your nothing but a liar
Write it on the sky love
That you're playing this game for yourself
All we had is gone now
Maybe it never was anything
Tell them I was happy
That I truly loved you once
And my heart is broken

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned.
My hands have been lazy, my tongue has fouled many hearts and minds, my eyes have given into fleshly desires, my lips have touched sacred essences that were never meant to be mine, and my teeth have torn greedily into gifts that I have taken for granted. I thank you for your incomparable mercy and understanding, and beg for you, my Father, to wash me clean of my sins and debts with your own flesh and blood of your one and only son Jesus Christ, and to fill me with the Holy Spirit so as to be guided in your amazing plans.
I know now that you understand the pains, you know there will truly be no rest for us and the wicked until the day we are to go back to the realms we came from.
Father, I reside in the dark...and your light is shining within me. I am a misfit among the wicked...a hybrid...a gentle monster...and it's you who has claimed me as your own. Through you, I can be free to be who I am, what I am, with no regrets or
