DREAMS OF CABARET
I heard a clatter in my room as I stepped in side. I opened the door to find Brenon lying on the floor, and all my papers and pens scattered all around him. I moved over and helped him up. Was he going through my things? I wondered.
"Thanks" He said.
I set him on my bed; which would be his new bed soon. He massaged his knee. Rubbing his fingers into the skin. Trying to relax his joints. I wet a rag from the bathroom and gave it to him. He rolled up his pant leg and set it on te area. I pulled my bag out from under the bed. I started tossing in my clothes and various miscellaneous items.
"Ryan?" He called.
"Yes?" I continued packing, not giving him any kind of eye contact. I turned to grab my guitar. Brendon was at my side, aliready on his feet. He gripped both my wrists in his hands and pinned them above my head against the wall. He looked me straight in the eyes. The dim lighting in the room made his eyes seem bleak and anxious. I wasn't scared
You found me-BrencerBrendon might be a spazz and have an odd thought process, but he really knew how to make you think and notice how things worked. Yeah, at times he didn't know when to shut up or when to stop cupping a feel of Ryan on stage whenever he could, but that was just Brendon. It was who he was. He was just being himself. And sometimes even when you tell people how to live life easier, you have to break your own rules. Even Brendon broke his own rules. You found me-Brencer5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

December came and it got increasingly harder to be around Brendon without having to control myself. That boy he does things to me. It should be illegal.
Brendon, Spencer, and I had been practicing in Spencer's garage, sort of making progress with things. It's hard to make progress when you really don't have much to begin and a singer who has ADHD and insists on drinking Red Bull right before practice.
If you haven't noticed, we decided to keep Brendon as our singer. He refused at first when we told him, but I assured him that I was totally cool with being replaced. He smiled at that. God, that boy's smile makes me go weak at the knees. Excuse the desperate teenage girl-ish thoughts.
Winter break came and everyone was excited to get two weeks off of school. Of course, teachers, being the thoughtless bastards that they are, decided to pile on the tests the day before break. Brendon was sort of doing this thing behind his parents' back. He had convinced them he was join

I was slurring uncontrollably, and a blurred figure of Adam #2 fazed in front of me. I was completely intoxicated. The liquor burned my throat, buzzed my brain. I could not, for the life of me, grab the slightest bit of composure. It didn't seem like I was facing reality. This whole situation felt more like I was floating down stream in a tiny row boat. Stars were in my sights. Blinding me of what was really going on.
Adam #2 kept giving me drink after drink after drink. And being in another world, my body disobeyed and kept on accepting his efforts. Refusing to deny Adam #2. He started singing. To me. For me. Either way he sang. He voiced hummed, ringing in my ears. He reached for my hands, walking me up from my seat. I must have been rooted there a long while, because when he peeled me off, it sounded like velcro ripping.

By the middle of the song, he throws me a smile. I give my best attempted smile back as I sing, "Sugar cane in the easy morning."
By the time the concert ends, we make our way to the side of the building to say hello to some of the fans. Some of their faces screaming in enjoyment, others drowning in happy tears. i Love HimThere had been a time in Carly's life where she had not been sold on the idea of Freddie Benson as anything more than just a friend. To Carly's way of thinking there were multiple Freddie's. The one who seemed to stick in her mind most of the time was the little nerdy boy who had had a crush on her since they were both really young. She remembered him running around in his Galaxy Wars Footie PJ's and always being smitten with her. That Freddie had been a doormat. Oh he was nice and a good guy but he was not the boyfriend type.
The Freddie after that was a little insecure mainly due to his mom but he had started to break out in small ways at first. He started standing up to Sam and giving as well as he took. He played peacemaker a few time between Carly and Sam. He still held a candle for Carly but he spoke about it less often.

Charles Montgomery Burns woke up by a soft nudge. He let a groan escape from his ancient lips and tried to open his heavy eyelids.
"Good morning sir," he heard the soft voice that awoke him every day. The hand that rested on his shoulder until he woke up moved away slowly and for a second Burns had the urge to grab the costumed soft hand and hug it closely. Not even Bobo had given him such warmth before and Bobo was his oldest and best friend. That hand, Smithers' hand, seemed very soft and tender that moment. He controlled the urge, nevertheless, and wondered on whether he was becoming a senile old coot.
Smithers opened the curtains slowly and just enough for a little sunligh

On Tuesday afternoons after school, while Spencer's at work, I usually head down to the music rooms at school. They have a couple pianos and a few acoustic guitars down there for random people to practice with. I thought I could just mess around until I decided to go home, so right after my sixth hour German class, I headed down to make sure I got an instrument and a practice room. It was hit or miss sometimes. You could get one or two kids in there and other times it's packed. Thankfully, though, it sounded deserted; just a few band kids in one of the rooms. As I rounded the corner to turn into the choral room, I heard the sweet eeriness of soft minor chords of the only grand piano. I stopped in my tracks when I saw who was sitting on the wooden bench. His back was to me, but I would recognize him anywhere.
As the chords progressed, he took a breath and started to sing. "Hello, there, angel from my nightmare," his flawless voice sang softly. My breath caught in my throat

"I said no." Ryan muttered before scooting away from Brendon. They were sitting in Ryan's living room. The TV was on in the background and piles of homework cluttered the floor. The room was small, which made Ryan's movement seem like nothing. It was as if he hadn't even moved.
Brendon groaned. "It's always no, Ryan. It's always no and I hate it."
"I don't care."
"Don't you want to try? You've never had your first kiss and neither have I so let's change that!"
Ryan looked up from his homework at Brendon. "I've had my first kiss," he said. "You're the one who hasn't." He glared at Brendon. This conversation came up every day. Ryan considered Brendon as his friend, nothing more. But Brendon was curious. Curious in the sense that he wanted to try new things, no matter what those things may be. Saturday. Finally, the weekend. Of course, I had homework, but it's nothing that a late Sunday night and a few Red Bulls won't accomplish. My dad worked on the weekends so I had the house all to myself. Not that that was any different from the rest of the week. It's not quite familiar, not quite reminiscent enough. Not naked enough, not happy enough.
And really, he's not sad at all. He's not really lonely, not angry, in all actuality, he would probably say that he is content.
Contentment is a fantastic feeling, he thinks.
He thinks of nakedness, of damp cigarettes and the sand stuck between his toes for weeks.

He threw it out into the pacific like he would scatter ashes.

You can hear their thudding footsteps from a mile away. I did have my music blaring, but I should have just looked up to see that the halls had emptied in their wake.
It only took one punch. I kind of thought I was stronger than that, but I've been wrong before. As I desperately covered by face, all I heard was slurred profanities and something about a "fucking fag". I could be paraphrasing.
I should be in geometry right now, but I can't even see straight at the moment let alone prove congruent triangles. My home for the hour was the boy's bathroom in the north hall; the floor specifically where I was currently on the verge of unconsciousness. I tried to stand up so I could see what the damage was this time, but I dizzily stumbled to the ground. Defeated, I scooted against the tiled wall, wipe

She stood there trying to figure out Freddie and she noticed that he seemed to be shifting his eyes back and forth. She was pretty sure he was in shock but couldn't tell anything more than that. She was a little shocked at her own actions as well.
Sure she was impulsive but never this reckless about her own emotions. The first word that came to mind since she spent a lot of her life saying it about things she had done was "sorry." She was sorry not that she had kissed Freddie but that she had acted so wildly about it. She breathed a little sigh of relief when Freddie finally spoke. "It' cool" that is all Freddie had to say about it at that moment. That response was not a lot of help to Sam as it gave her no real help in knowing what he was thinking.

Okay, for quite a while now, I've been hearing all this hate about how Kiara is an "air head" or a "moron" or a "clueless idiot" and I confess, I used to be one of these people (not counting when I was young) but honestly, I watched Simba's Pride over again (several times) since deciding I hated her, and to my surprise, I no longer do so. Why? Because as I watched the movie, looking for hate evidence, I didn't find ANY. Rather, the opposite. Watching the movie over again, changed my mind, because the evidence I DID find was against the Kiara haters.
Evidence that disproved these claims about her being an airhead/moron/clueless idiot.
Now .before you guys decide to flame me, hear me out.
One of the most frequent complaints about Kiara I hear is that she's nothing like her father, and that Simba was a far better protagonist. Well, that's not entirely true. Despite the fact that Kiara didn't want to be queen, she IS a little like
