So I was talking with a friend on FaceBook, and he was so happy that he had finally obtained all of the episodes of Ouran High School Host Club dubbed in English. It made me think of the whole "dubbed vs. subbed" debate people randomly have in the anime-loving-community (especially since I just came back from an anime convention, lol), and then I thought of this.
I don't care if you don't like it dubbed and only watch subbed. Hell, I don't care if you watch it in plain Japanese without any English subtitles or dubs. Whatever makes you happy, I say go for it
In the mean time, I'll enjoy WATCHING my show, not reading it! XD
So, for all you other people like me, here's a stamp to enjoy. Whether you be lazy, a slow reader (or dyslexic, I know that one makes it hard!), don't want to pay close attention, like hearing certain character voices, or whatever, go enjoy your dubbed animes!
...most metal I've ever used, haha. The ring, the "string", the chains...Just the plastic painted beads and the leather wrapping aren't metal, haha.
This smaller dream catcher (but not too small) has white leather wrapping, metal wire stuffs for making necklaces for the web, metal beads, silver colored plastic beads, dragon pendant, ball chains, metal feather pendants, and a necklace chain.
TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE WHO WORKS WITH METAL, I TIP MY HAT TO YOU!! Flipping hard!
This is now available to be used as lineart. PLEASE GIVE ME CREDIT AND LINK BACK!! NO CLAIMING THIS AS YOUR OWN, AND ABSOLUTELY NO SELLING THIS OR USING IT FOR YOUR PROFIT!!
And if you use it, please, send me a link of what you made! I'll feature it here, and would love to just see what you made
It's marked as mixed media 'cause I drew this in pencil, went over it in pen, then scanned it in black and white so I wouldn't have to trace over it again (ESPECIALLY since I only have Paint on this laptop!!). I still had to fix it up a lot, but yeah, MUCH easier to fix up line art than completely re-do it all.
It's supposed to be a fennec fox. I didn't really use any refs for it, so pardon what I'm sure is awful anatomy. If you want to point out the flaws, be my guest (though I am NOT changing it)....I think his ears might be a tad too small =/
THIS PICTURE IS TRACED! THIS PICTURE IS TRACED! THIS PICTURE IS TRACED!
Also, click here every day! You can sign up to receive a daily reminder to click on this site, too! It helps feed animals, c'mon, how could you resist?? (there's other causes on the site as well) www.theanimalrescuesite.com/cl…
Ok, now that that's established, here's just a picture I did trace, but to spread a message. It was either hurleyraiderette15 or me who took the picture, which you can see here img.photobucket.com/albums/v46… , so I'm not breaking any copyright by any means by tracing it.
Picture was taken from a local animal shelter quite some time ago (I want to go there again soon, haven't been there in forever!). Cute puppers! Now that I regularly volunteer at an animal shelter I'm especially concerned about pets being adopted. Please, always adopt, it's the right thing to do. Many great pets sit in these cages day by day, just waiting for the right person to save them. I got my cat from the shelter where this picture was taken, and she's the best cat I could have ever wished for. Update: my now current dog was also an adopted boy, and while he had a troubled start (came to the shelter with worms, coxidia, and giardia!! Still had the later two when we adopted him), he's turning out to be a wonderful boy. Drop-dead gorgeous, much healthier, energetic as a hyper pup should be, and completely loving!
Careful when considering adopting a pet. Do your homework, know what you're in for. But when you do decide to get a pet, please visit a shelter before even considering buying a cat or dog (or any animal!) from some pet store! Remember you should keep them for life. Only adopt if you're absolutely sure this is what you want and can handle (personally, financially, emotionally, etc.).
The picture I traced off of may be used by anyone for any productive reason. I don't mean getting money for yourself, but please, use it to spread the message of helping local animal shelters and adopting!
If anyone ever wants any pictures of cats or dogs in shelters, feel free to ask me! I've already got some on my computer (no longer volunteer now though...kinda moved away and am so busy with college >.< ).

Another important note on this topic: SPAYING/NEUTERING! An important step to keeping animals from being homeless is to lower the pet population (unfortunately there are more pets than there are homes for them in today's world). Unless you are a responsible breeder who has homes lined up for the future babies, breeding healthy animals, and overall working for a goal of improving a breed/creating an improved breed, please consider getting your pet fixed. This procedure can be done on animals of nearly any age (once they're old enough, which can be sooner than you think!). It prevents problems such as inbreeding, infections such as pyometra, mammary and prostate tumors (which can spread), and unwanted behavior problems such as roaming and fighting that can lead to other health concerns. It is also illegal in some areas to let a female dog in heat roam, punishable by law. You run the risks of these health and behavior problems, as well as having unwanted litters. Contrary to some still-existing beliefs, there is no evidence out there to support that letting your pet go through their first cycle or have their first litter makes them healthier or better pets. If done at the appropriate age with a healthy animal, spaying/neutering is usually a safe procedure with no complications.
Check out this colored version StyxxsOmega did of this:
I should have made this sooner But none the less, it's *CynicalCrows's dream catcher She sent me those adorable little bird wings that she found and dried, as well as the three feathers at the bottom. The rest was my doing.
Have brown deer hide for the leather wrapping, natural simulated sinew, random beads on the web (red, yellowish, and green), and tigerseye and black stone beads on the strands. The web is only 3" in diameter.
Here's the two dream catchers I've made. I want to make an "elemental" set (just the 4 basic elements). So here's Earth and Fire.
The first on the left (and first dream catcher I've ever made, EVER) is an Earth one. The frame is made of a willow branch (thus this is VERY fragile, and that's why it doesn't have a perfectly circular shape), and is wrapped in green with green beads. The two feathers are mallard duck, I believe. That or Canadian goose...I dunno, I got them from near my house. There's also a clear I think glass thingy that I thought was neat and reminded me of a leaf at the bottom middle (the shiny thing) replacing a feather, proceeded by a string of odd green beads, lol. I'm not so proud of this one. The twine is way too loose, so it's not so appealing. But, err, let's just pretend it's to go with the natural pull of the earth's gravity, to let nature make the beauty....or something like that, lol. I like the little leaf beads though, and how easily these feathers went on.
The one on the right, of course, is the second dream catcher I've made and is fire. I like the quality of this one much much more. It's got a metal ring for the frame, so it's durable and could stand me tugging on it a lot to wrap everything nice and tight ^_^ It's got some neat cats eye beads (one small, the rest medium sized) on it, and these weird red plastic beads. It's also got what I think are dyed chicken feathers I have no idea, I got them from some artsy weird thing, and kinda ripped them off of it, haha. These feathers don't look as nice how I did 'em, but they were a pain in the butt! But on a side note, I did the twine on this one much tighter so it's way better in that aspect. In the middle there's another plastic bead and another glass thingamaboby. My brother says it's corny, but ya know what, I like it!
LONG DESCRIPTION, SORRY!
Next I'll prolly do Wind. Do you guys like these? Could I make monies off of 'em? Sorry for the picture quality: I am NOT a photographer!
This is a dream catcher I made as a thank you/Christmas present to She's helped me out and been very kind, so I thought I'd try to make her something in return. I sent it out a few days ago....don't know if she got it or not yet....hope she did!
But anyways, it's a small metal ring wrapped in green leather. On it there's two catseye beads, and a snake vertebrae (roadkill snake...no I didn't kill it, and don't know what kind it is). Then in the very middle is a pendant I got a while ago. It's a raccoon holding a grey fake (but a good fake!) catseye bead with its tail (it's legs are there, but it's using its tail). On the outside there's 3 tips of squirrel tails (all found dead and cleaned)-with the tops wrapped in a small bit of leather. Then there's a turkey feather in the middle, and connected by two more snake vertebrae are two male mallard duck wing feathers (these kind: [link] )
It's supposed to be a "natural" dream catcher (I would have made the circle with a willow branch or something, but those become too brittle-especially for mailing!). I kinda failed at the "earthy" feel....heck, it doesn't even loo that good -_- I wanted to make it bigger, too....but I hope she likes it!
Taken from the summer SacAnime, September 2nd-4th, 2011.
BRING OUT THE QUAD SUITS! haha I waited and searched for quite a while for these guys!
On the left we have Arcanine made by *LilleahWest and worn by her sister, then in the middle is a commissioned white tiger also made by *LilleahWest worn by said commissioner, then on the right is that nine-tailed fox from Naruto made and worn by ~2bit30.
IT WAS SO HOT, THESE GUYS MUST HAVE BEEN DYING IN THOSE SUITS!! But like troopers, they came out anyways, and posed and played as a crowd of people swarmed over to see such unique costumes.
When I upload the videos I got, I'll put the links here.
I've gone all ga-ga over the elements, lol. This one is for people who, like me, are water-elements (whether it be your zodiac, or just the element you connect to the most).
The blue is supposed to represent the water element, and since it is the featured element it is the biggest. Within it is purple, to represent spirit. Then below, since no element can stand on its own, is brown for earth, white for air, and red for fire.
This is the first time I've ever put a ring inside of a ring, and the first time I've had rings attached to each other (it's a wee bit off...but hey, not bad for doing it on a bumpy surface!).
