WHAT TOOLS DO YOU USE TO WORK?
Fine art paper, 0.3 mechanical pencil + graffiti 0.3 mm B, pencils 2B and 6B. Kneaded Rubber.
Disposable ink pens 0.05, 0.1 and 0.8. French curve set, 40cm ruler. Light table. Crow quill nibs. Acrylic black ink.
People have asked me about the brushes I use to ink. The one format I do like is a round liner (Fine Liner Sable 2/0 302). There are many formats but particularly I like that one because it is perfect for contouring, outlining and for doing fine details, it keeps the trace steady and straight, and many people like to use it for signatures.
But I think the tools should be tested and chosen individually by each person. If you don't work well with nibs then try pens. If you don't like mechanical pencils then use regular pencils. Don't try to get the same tools that your favorite artist uses, thinking you're going to be able to make it just like them because those tools work for them. It's technica

You now have the option to include/exclude your journal from the Journal Portal, and from your Journal Tab's new "Featured" section.
The Journal Portal in the footer of deviantART now pulls from the Journals category but excludes all "Personal" posts. This means, you must categorize your Journal on submission for it to even qualify to appear in the footer of dA. This has substantially increased the quality of posts that appear there.
