An erupting volcano? Naw, just some lenticulars floating like spaceships over Mt. Rainier in Washington. This got dug out of the "archives" for a magazine article I'm currently drafting - I can't image why I left this in the digital dumpster!

Far away from the roads and people. I followed huge canyon and found number of waterfalls which were just amazing. The whole place felt like I traveled thru the time back in the prehistoric era. This one was just perfect.

Please enjoy.

Morning's first rays of sunlight hit the Lupine and Western Pasqueflower. Glacier Peak, know as Takobia to the Sauk tribe, looms in the background. Often overlooked when compared to the other 4 Washington State Volcanoes, Glacier Peak s one of the least studied of the group, as well as the most active, producing some of largest and most explosive eruptions in the state.
