An homage to the cover to the second issue of The Dark Knight Returns. Done for The Line: it is Drawn. I'm trying to post slightly more often but University work is picking up again so... there's that. : \
Drew the DCnU Wonder Woman costume for my daily sketchblog [link] Take my opinion with a grain of salt (because I have no sense of style whatsoever) but I kind of like this costume. Itís certainly one of the better costumes to come out of the relaunch even with the weird choker. Maybe Iím just letting my love for Cliff Chiangís art blind me and Iím rationalizing this. I donít know. Am I wrong? Does this suck?
I always wanted to draw Wildcat similar to how Rafael Grampa drew Daredevil so now that I'm doing a daily sketchblog with my friend , I figured now was as good of a time as any. Plus, it was father's day and because I'm Mexican and so is my grandpa, we watched a lot of soccer and boxing. True story. That happened. You can check the sketchblog here: [link]
So I got a commission to do an homage to the cover of Batman and Robin #16 but because I actively try to draw similar to Frank Quitely I was afraid it would come off as a bit of a swipe since I was also asked to do the same characters. Craig suggested I ask the guy if I could use Morrisonís thumbnail for that cover which was a little different and he was all about it.
So that was a lot of fun to do.
So check this, if you like my art, Iím doing a Kickstarter for a comic I made with my friend Craig Cermak. You might want to considerÖ pledging or something? Hereís the link: [link] Check it out. You can say you were there from the beginning. Think about it.
Wolverine and The Hulk from that first appearance of Wolverine. Drew this on the back of a blank variant cover. When I put it on ebay Iíll post the front and the link to buy it on tumblr but the last time I tried that I didnít make any money so hopefully this time it goes better huh? Fingers crossed?
