of Independent Cinema
Movies featuring the latest in high tech digital effects, eye-popping CGI environments and ear-splitting surround sound, are often described as “pushing the envelope.” But they’re mega-million-dollar productions that are delivered back to the studios by the filmmakers precisely as pre-ordered. Rarely is there danger of disaster, so what envelope has been pushed?
“Envelope-shredder” might be a better designation for Brian Taylor...
Who, usually in collaboration with partner-in-mayhem Mark Neveldine, has given the world such films as Crank, Crank: High Voltage, Gamer, Pathology, and recently Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.

Well, I say that. I'm actually interrupting your day to bring you this short video.
Shh, just come.
I felt I should just bring that to your attention.

The AvengersYou know that giddy, gleeful feeling that renders you incapable of doing little more than giggle like a lunatic? The Avengers3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I pretty much had that from start to finish during the Avengers film (Which was released on Fair Blighty's shores as "Avengers Assemble" thanks to the past efforts of Steed and Peel).
There have only been a handful of movies that invoked that kind of response in me: Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Abram's Star Trek, Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes and the first Iron Man film are those which immediately spring to mind.
Indeed; Avengers is THE best Marvel movie since Iron Man. Ace cast, brilliant story, hysterical script, a scene that will stab anyone that's followed the films leading up to this point right through the heart and a fair few more surprises.
Chief among them being; how the hell did the Hulk become such a f**king awesome character after so many naff films?
I'm gonna go see this one again!

Hello, one person! Hope you're having a nice day.
A few things to mention.
One, I'm off to London tomorrow. Just for the day, so I won't be online tomorrow.
Which leads me rather nicely to...
Two, I'm off to Hungary on the first of September, until the third.
Of course I would be out of the country the day the first Doctor Who episode airs.
Of course I would.
It'll be interesting, as I know absolutely no Hungarian.
If anyone does know some basic Hungarian - hello, goodbye, please, thanks, etc. - I'd appreciate a comment.
I have already looked at Google Translate, but it's not always... accurate.
That was a rather serious journal.
I'll leave you with some of my favourite quotes from A Very Potter Musical...

Below you'll find a list of tutorials I personally think of as the best on dA. If I have any problems with painting something I usually take a look at one of those.
Is there anything you're having troubles with? Need help looking for a good tutorial? Or maybe you'd like to see a video walk-through of me painting something?
I'm open for suggestions for what kind of tutorial/walk-through you'd like to see from me. If you're interested in anything, post your suggestions in the comments!

Everything explained is based on the gruze-structure of journals. If you are still using the old structure or have a journal installed that used it, things won’t work the same way like explained below.
For simple skins the old structure is fine, but the more features you add, the more I would recommend using the gruze-structure. You can look up the differences here: http://ginkgografix.deviantart.com/art/Old-vs-Gruze-Journals-112772369
This time I will explain you, how to modify the header section of a journal. I will try to cover everything important, but if there are still things you want to know more about, just let me know and I will try to add it here.
Nothing what I will explain here will affect the actual content area and it will always refer to the defaul

Let's Talk About It - Patrickman!Welcome to my new segment (that I might turn into videos) called Let's Talk About it, where people keep asking me to review episodes that aren't bad enough to be atrocities or good enough to be admirable, but still deserve a few comments. Today's episode is Patrick-Man! People keep wondering why it wasn't on my Worst Patrick's a Prick list, along with Driven to Tears, Rule of Dumb, and Patrick Smartpants... for some reason. I like all of those episodes, except Driven to Tears, which left me more conflicted than anything. I also like Patrickman, which really seemed to surprise a lot of people so let's talk about it.Let's Talk About It - Patrickman!7 months ago in Personal More Like This
What separates Patrickman from episodes like Patrick's Staycation, Yours, Mine and Mine, and The Card? It's really simple, for the first time since, I can't even remember, Patrick's stupidity felt genuine. It didn't feel malicious or even hedonistic. The basic plot is that Patrick is fe
My Top 20 Least Favorite PokemonSince I'm pretty deep into Pokemon right now and I'd like to give my opinions on some of them, I thought I'd do something a little fun giving both my favorite and least favorite Pokemon, 20 of them (each). I did something like this before, but that had a bunch of filler-entries. Bronzong may be my least favorite steel type, but I don't have any dislike for the bell-thing. So I figured I'd give you my straight up, 20 least favorite Pokemon. And my opinions have changed a bit with me using more of a variety. These are straight up opinions and Pokemon that aren't good at battling, like Tropius or Dunsparce can be saved by their designs. Unfortunately that cuts both ways and some of the Pokemon on this list I hate for appearance alone. I'm also judging the Pokemon based on what they add to the game... you know like how zubat and tentacool adds a shit ton of annoyance (although neither of them are on this list because crobat is awesome and I've got nostalgic attatchment to tentacruel, it beMy Top 20 Least Favorite Pokemon1 month ago in Personal More Like This

So I was just stopped by a cop....I wasn't driving. I was walking. He drives up, rolls down the window, and says something I don't quite hear. I say hello. He repeats it. "How old are you?"So I was just stopped by a cop....2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I'm in shock. I ask, "How OLD am I?"
"I'm 29!!" (I'm sure I sounded incredulous.)
I say, "I have my license if you want to see it." He wants to see it so I give it to him. He looks and hands it back.
He thought I was a highschool truant.
The moral of the story is that I should stop wearing clothing a teenager might wear because as I continue to get older and not to age it will become more and more unbelievable that I am as old as I say I am and I don't look forward to being driven in the back of a police car to the nearest high school, in tears BECAUSE I HAVE ALREADY DONE MY TIME!

The Defense of Masculinity'What you're seeing is how a civilization commits suicide," says Camille Paglia. This self-described "notorious Amazon feminist" isn't telling anyone to Lean In or asking Why Women Still Can't Have It All. No, her indictment may be as surprising as it is wide-ranging: The military is out of fashion, Americans undervalue manual labor, schools neuter male students, opinion makers deny the biological differences between men and women, and sexiness is dead. And that's just 20 minutes of our three-hour conversation. The Defense of Masculinity1 year ago in Personal More Like This
When Ms. Paglia, now 66, burst onto the national stage in 1990 with the publishing of "Sexual Personae," she immediately established herself as a feminist who was the scourge of the movement's establishment, a heretic to its orthodoxy. Pick up the 700-page tome, subtitled "Art and Decadence From Nefertiti to Emily Dickinson, " and it's easy to see why. "If civilization had been left in female hands," she wrote, "we would still be living in grass huts."
Ms. Paglia argues that the

Well... it's not gotten any better and it's gotten surprisingly worse (if possible).
This isn't just some mild 'problem'... I think this kind of thing is kind of serious, I don't know. To me it's just everyday life so...
Apparently what I experienced today was a mental and physical breakdown. Second in my life; the first being a few days after my grandfather died back in some years back.
After posting that little 'vent' to Tumblr earlier yesterday morning I went out to go make some breakfast when the coast was clear.
I got up feeling woozy but thought nothing of it until I got to the kitchen and fell onto the floor.
Now, I'll be frank with you...I can't quite remember all that happened and it's just n

Anti-Libertarian Cognitive DissonanceI’m currently working on new videos for my Anti-Libertarians Can’t Think playlist, and I’m considering writing an essay debunking some common anti-libertarian arguments.Anti-Libertarian Cognitive Dissonance10 months ago in Personal More Like This
You can tell I’m in a very anti-libertarian mood, possibly because I’ve been inundated with so many anti-libertarian arguments from anti-libertarian screeds.
Anti-libertarian arguments are like the brooms from Fantasia: they’re easy to chop into bits, but they only keep coming back in droves. They just won’t stay dead!
But there’s one especially egregious argument that I keep running into, and it makes me wish I could simply kill it with fire and be done with it.
Anti-libertarian statists often ask why there haven’t been any libertarian societies. Salon’s Michael Lind once posed

Feminism Trumps ReasonAs you'll recall, Thunderf00t released an amazing video in which he eviscerated the silly feminist "teach men not to rape" meme, and feminists, being the rational individuals they are, were prompted by the video to reevaluate their reasoning and rethink their approach towards rape prevention.Feminism Trumps Reason1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Instead, the hysterical feminazi horde went ape:iconfluttershysqueeplz: and attacked Thunderf00t as a "rape apologist" and "victim blamer", which forced him to release another video addressing these baseless accusations, even though it will only drive the feminazis to plug their ears even more and scream "misogynist!"
In his video, he said the following which sums up my exact feelings towards these unthinking hyper-emotional twats: "When people are driving on emotion, the reasoned argument takes a backseat, and boy is this true the second you mention the subject of rape."
