Steven chuckled. "Well Becky," He began, "There isn't any scientific proof about it." She flashed a triumphant grin to the blonde boy before Steven concluded, "However there is a possibility they could exist."
"Ha!" The boy retorted. Steven smiled at Tobey shaking his head.
"How is that possible?" Becky asked annoyed at losing.
"Well that goes into a science called 'Quantum Physics.' Something I didn't really study back in college unfortunately." He shrugged. "Although it's a fairly interesting concept, I must say." He said in a wistful tone. "Imagine all the possibilities. I could have been married, or be a chef, or maybe," he added playfully,"a secret agent."
This gained a laugh from the two kids. "Really?" Becky asked in amazement.
"Certainly." Steven finished matter-of-factly. He looked up at the clock. "Kids you better get going or else your parents will be worried sick."

She's the last person I would have expected to commit suicide.
Through their tears, her parents said that, in her suicide letter, the reason why she killed herself is because of the bullying she had to put up with every day she went to school. Those words made my blood run cold, because I was one of the bullies who pushed her to do that, the ring leader actually. From name calling to groping, she certainly got it all, though you could never tell it hurt her by that sappy smile she always had plastered to her face when she told people she was fine.
That fact probably makes it even more disrespectful to stand before her grave as I do now. Rain started to fall, the drops sliding down my blond locks and hitting the grass below, but I hardly cared; the rain mixed quite well with my tears.

"That's his nickname for me. You don't get to use it." Kat crossed her arms and continued to glare.
Thom's shoulders slumped and he sat down in the seat beside her. "Fine, I won't call you Kitten." He looked away for a moment and Kat returned to her work. "How about call you Kitty?"
"No." Kat glanced over at him. "Why don't you do something more productive? Work on your aim, or maybe study some strategy?"
"Aw, you trying to tell me I'm not perfect?" Thom slumped a bit, becoming completely relaxed. "You know, why don't we have nicknames? I mean, don't most teams have nicknames?"
"Because we are serious soldiers. We don't have time for nicknames." Kat didn't look away from the screen.

"Oh yeah! That!"
"Dude, I can't believe it!"
As multiple kids whispered their juicy rumors in a way that was just loud enough to hear, two kids stood to the side. The taller, a golden eyed male with black hair, turned to his purple haired sister, motioning to the chattering students around them with a thumb. "What are they talking about?"
"Don't know, don't care," the girl muttered darkly, eyes glued on a beeping and flashing hand held gaming device in her hands. Casting an equally gold gaze at her brother, she scowled, glaring daggers at the elder. "Now shut the fuck up so I can play my game."

Warmth. That's all that Zim felt when he awoke the next morning. With a groan he moved closer to the source only to be held by it. Zim began to purr into the mound of heat that embraced him. Until the flood of memories of the night be before, and his eyes snapped open to reveal a sleeping Dib with a very content look on his face. His scythe that had always perplexed Zim had fallen limp over his forehead. The irken smiled and brushed it behind Dibs ear. Zim was smiling to himself until he finally came to his senses about what he has become a defect. NO! Zim wriggled out of Dibs embrace to the other side of the bed facing away from the human. 'This isn't the real me.' Zim tried to convince himself. 'It's just the state of mind I am in. I have no feelings at all with the stoopid human stink beast.' Zim frowned to himself. Over and over he repeated 'I need no one. I need no one. I need no one.'

Dib's breath hitched in his throat as he ducked to the side in a jerking motion that strained his already tired leg muscles, and he was barely straightening up and panting when a boot swung right into his path and knocked his legs out from under him. He fell onto his side with a grunt of pain, but soon climbed to his feet again.
His adversary grinned at him, ruby eyes alight in the dark of the alley; he had lost his disguise but wasn't bothering to find it. No one could see them back here, after all.
The cocky expression drove Dib to swing his fist at him, but Zim easily darted to the side before returning and slamming his shoulder into him, shoving him against a nearby building that made up one of the walls of the alley.
Dib slid down the wall for a few inches before recovering and standing up, glaring at the smaller male, shaking occasionally as he fought exhaustion. A trickle of blood ran down from a gash in his forehead, but he ignored it, focusing on his enemy.
"Give up yet?" Zim

"Well, I've been better. Uncle Chuck's… 'house' isn't exactly built to hold so many of us. It's getting really cramped with all five of us in there. Everything he told Dib is mostly lies. It just makes him mad to know that the one person who knows him the best thinks he's a failure. Zim sighs and stares angrily at the plans he has laid out on the kitchen table.
Why should it bother him what his enemy thinks, anyways?
These plans involve hacking into the government and well that's all there is so far. He could do something.
Involuntarily his eyes are to the clock. Usually he would have fed Dib by now, but the boy deserves to be hungry after his rudeness. Another sigh escapes him. In four hours Zim will feed Dib. At least then he won't have a body to dispose of. Probably.
Bored and confused, Zim stands to look out the window at the passing humans. His reflection mimics the smirk on his face. Dib really believes all of what Zim said. And he fears Zim. Zim chuckles triumphantly.

Gaz sat on the couch playing her Game Slave as the TV blared on with Mysterious Mysteries. She hated this show but it had become routine to end up watching it at this time every other night. The only problem was that her brother was an hour late now and his friend was over. She looked over to see the short haired blond mess with his phone while he waited for Dib. Grunting in annoyance, Gaz got up from her spot on the couch and put her game on pause for a bit. Her stupid brother was never late, maybe he had gotten injured or something more appealing.
"I'm going to kill him if he ever gets home." Gaz said making the blond look up from his phone. He gave a sigh and was glad that Gaz was not his little sister, what torture that would be. Xander kept his thoughts to himself and kept his mouth shut so he wouldn't face her wrath again. There was no way he would end up with his underwear mysteriously over his pants again. That had been a nightmare that he definitely didn't want to relive so he

Zim kept to the schedule of feeding Dib three times a day and disinfecting him once a day. Since Zim decided that Dib could probably use the exercise, Dib was allowed to walk to and from the shower. He's also cooled down the water so that the strange redness doesn't come back on Dib's skin. Every time they see each other Dib asks "What's your plan, Zim?" It's almost become tradition.

The Beginning of a Story
Torches lit the abandoned courtyard of Albion as two figures in matching armor dragged a short figure into a large estate. One pushed the door opened and the room flooded with light pouring into the dark room. They roughly threw the walrus they dragged into a chair, and he groaned in response.
"I've had gentler invitations," he groaned, rubbing his head before looking up. Before him stood a purple cat in the same armor as the ones who dragged him inside, the crest of a blazing eye on her chest piece. In her hands she held a book and casually flipped through the pages before turning to her 'guest'.
"I am Blaze the Cat, Seeker of the Chantry," she said, introducing herself as she walked into the light. She turned her head to the two and nodded for them to leave the room and give them some privacy.
The walrus chuckled as the two who dragged him in left the room. "And just what are you seeking?" he asked, curious.
"The Champion," Blaze answered.

Now, science fiction has given us a plethora of names that we can give our characters. In such a setting, we can be expected to give our heroes names that we can be familiar with, or in a lot of cases, we can give them names that are - quite frankly - out of this world. The best example I can give for Human names being in the extreme has to be Star Wars. No other story I have ever read in a while has had such crazy, very sci-fi names in them. Characters called things like Garm, Kadir, Qui-Gon, Evazan, the list can go on. Of course, the out there names coexist alongside 'regular' ones like Luke, Alexander, Jacen (originally meant to be 'Jason'), Kyle, and many more examples.
I can't think of many more franchises that have completely out there names. I suppose Dune could be one of the other ones. Names like Paul, Duncan, Vladamir, and Gurney existed along names like Feyd-Rautha, Thufir, and Glossu. Granted though, this story takes place over 10,000 years from no

Mrs Hudson let her shopping bags drop to the floor, sighing as her tired arms gained relief for the first time since she'd left the shop.
Above her 221B felt shadowy and cold.
It always did.
Oh well, she was old. She had lost many. She knew better than to dwell upon the past.
But it would be dishonest to deny that she still felt the painful little tugs on her heart whenever she thought of her boys.
Her poor lovely boys.
She sighed. She was being maudlin again.
Her joints were aching with the damp of the persistent January rain which numbed her toes and chilled her to her bones so she reluctantly hauled her bags up again and waddled awkwardly through to 221C.
She needed a cup of tea.

It was partly ajar.
She bit down a moment of panic, shaking her head miserably. She could have sworn she had closed it.
Must be going senile. Oh dear, oh dear . . . It was all downhill from here. Next thing she'd

A hand gently stroking from his black hair to his right hip nearly tempts Dib back into sleep but his pillow moving gets rid of any thoughts of sleeping. He sits up, looking around until he can make out Zim's green blur. "Good night." The alien greets him.

"Are you refreshed, Dib-beast?" Zim asks him, studying Dib with large red eyes. Dib nods, trying to chase the fuzz from his brain. How on Earth could he have let his guard down so easily? Just because they did some stuff doesn't mean that Zim can be trusted. His guard goes back up.
"Yes." Dib replies in a cold voice. My eyes are a weakness, he thinks. If I can't see him how can I plan on stopping him? "Can I have new glasses?"

The time spent with the Dib-filth increases to the point that Zim doesn't even like leaving the human anymore.
