I love the fact that everything in real life is customizable. This is my remake of the Halo Assault Rifle with a few attachments to illustrate my wish that future Halo games will have custom weapon options.
the first one is the original with out any attachments and is shown as a reference
the second uses a Red-Dot Scope (2x zoom) and a removable fore-grip for more accuracy.
the third uses a Red-Dot Sight aperture with a silencer.
the fourth uses an extended barrel, extended/removable fore-grip, and an ACOG Scope (5x zoom) all for extra range and accuracy.
This one rifle would in-turn make specialized weapons like the BR-55(Battle Rifle) and M392(DMR) unnecessary because one weapon can fill the role. Realistically during times of war this is essential.
... looking at this now, it reminds me a bit of HALO ODST, BUT mind you, I did this at least a good three or four years before that game came out!
... again, my thinking with the Metropolis P.D. is that they have money to spare, so their equipment is the latest and greatest, and possibly even done by S.T.A.R labs or someone like that... I wanted the 'gas mask' to have a big visor for maximum visibility, BUT also to contrast Gotham's equipment.
Another weapon used by Captain B.J. Blazkowicz in Wolfenstein: The New Order, the AR Marksman is a weapon of precision and accuracy. The AR Marksman is designed with some characteristics of the STG-60, the only difference is that it has a 10 round magazine that looks like the quad-stack magazine used by the STG-60, but much thinner. It is also the same size, which is therefore assumed that it uses the 7.92mm ammunition the STG-60 uses, however the only difference in gameplay is that the Marksman doesn't share ammo with the STG like the SMG does with the Luger. It could be a specially designed type of 7.92 used in the Marksman. It also comes with a scope which is excellent for more accurate shooting.
In reality, the AR Marksman is based on the real life FN SCAR and the Walther WA 2000.

For those who haven't been following the blog, Alan and I decided to do all architectural elements of the environments in 3D first. We laid everything out in sketch format, came up with the building stylings, and then Alan took it to Maya and modeled each building and prop. We then laid it all out to our original sketches.
This is a concept art done for a special sculpture from the Deus universe which those who played the first game will recognize I hope... The 3D version is really cool (better than the concept art actually) and was build by Laurent Labelle (if I remember correctly) and the hologram was done by Seb Boulay. Art supervision by Eric Gagnon for this one.
I've put more screenshots and concepts on my website here: fewlines.com
