"You oppose abortion? You must hate women!" "Pro life equals misanthropy!" "You just say that because you don't want people to have fun! Sex is more than just procreation!" "You're only pro life because of your belief in some sky wizard!"
And even more moronic statements with no basis in fact, ad nauseam.
The pro choice crowd sounds just like bratty children who whine: "You won't let me play videogames just because you don't want me to have fun! I don't want do do homework, it's too hard!" Do you care about intellectual honesty, or are you going to accuse us of "hating women" or "not wanting anyone to have fun"? Are you actually honest about our motives?
Do you people honestly realize that I have nothing to gain by opposing abortion? That people like you make it seem like some sort of masochistic thing to do, to debate this subject? Will you please grow up?
The only reason why I oppose abortion is because I believe that there are certain unalienable rights, no matter who you are. I believe that when it comes to freedom, it ends when it begins to infringe on another person's rights. People should take responsibility for their actions, not give reasons to dehumanize and kill innocents to avoid it. Do you people also realize that men have responsibility for this too? That they aren't exempt from the heavy weight this carries?
How am I supposed to believe that WE are the selfish ones? Why am I supposed to believe that the pro infanticide crowd actually gives a damn about women's rights? [link] [link]
What, you thought this was over? Like hell it is, the debate is still hot.
My guess is George noticed Trayvon walking in the stereotypical wannabe-gangsta fashion and thought he was up to no good, so he called the cops. Zimmerman probably got closer to Trayvon and glanced at him in a suspicious manner. Trayvon probably got mad at him for looking at him that way and probably whined about it because he's "black and you're a racist ass honky". Then the beatdown started with Trayvon (who was younger, stronger and quicker than Zimmerman and could've curb-stomped his head and cause his death) beating up his soon-to-be killer. Zimmerman, not taking that shit, shoots him and is a hero to himself for saving his ass from what could've been a crippling assault. The cops come, Zimmerman tells his side of the story, but when the media gets word of it they manipulate it into making the fresh gangsta Trayvon look innocent whereas the blue-collar Zimmerman is shown to us with photos of him looking a bit... crazed. And then the racial shitstorm happens.
This was uploaded on my old account a month after the act happened.
I'm sure this won't be a popular stamp, but there again, I don't really care. I am proud to be an American, I'm proud of the values our country was founded on, founded on, not keeps. I am ashamed of our government, I'm ashamed of the state our country is in. I'm ashamed of our foreign policy, I'm ashamed of our policies towards our own people, I think our government is a sham that couldn't give less of a shit about the American people, it's soldiers, or our brothers and sisters in other countries. If I could, I would apologize to Russia for the idiotic ' punishing parent' our politicians have had towards them, I would apologize to the people over seas who's family members we've killed and who's lives we've destroyed. I support the troops, I pray that God brings them home safely, I thank their families for their sacrifice but seriously, someone needs to slap some of those fucking idiots in Washington. If you want to use this, just use it.
it should be obvious enough from all the other things I'm into that I don't give a damn what another woman does with her own body.
It's when you start to claim that "your body" includes something that is quite clearly another person entirely - sleeping when you're awake and waking when you're asleep, using its own eyes to look at things you'll never see, experiencing dreams that you'll never know about, hearing the same things you do day in and day out and processing them independently without consulting you etc., that the argument gets a little ridiculous.
people making controversial stamps and then disabling the comments are like my primary source of inspiration lately.
