The earth was by far the most popular of the planets, with her glimmering oceans and waving fields of wheat. She was truly a site to behold. And the sun agreed on this, taking special care of this globular ruby. He splashed her gentle curves with hot streams of light and was always sure to brighten one of her halves. But she was troubled. The species on her backside, might they be damaged from this relentless barrage of heat and u-v rays? She wept day in and day out until mercury stepped in and queried about her stipulation. She told him of her worries and he provided a shoulder to cry on. This, however, led to terrible disasters. His warm sphere heated her oceans to a boil, and marine life yelped in pain until the waters were motionless without life. Mercury stepped back and saw what he had done, shook her hand, and moved back to his place in the galaxy at the suns side. Venus scoffed at Mercury's senseless actions. She knew what the world needed, and that was a women's touch. Her and
