Another primitive piece, this time a necklace. I'm fascinated by adornment. From early pieces like this to modern cosmetics and jewelry, people have been fancying themselves up since we first figured out how. I think we should all go back to wearing animal bones and rocks.
Approx. 4 inches long x 3 inches across. Lower mandible of fox, glass beads, natural quartz crystal (removable), copper wire, leather.
A painted deer skull, could do more on it but I'm sick of it right now. Yes the antlers were naturally like that, but they look more symmetrical at most angles, just not the one in the picture haha. Took hours and hours.. the word "painstaking" comes to mind. Entered it in the schools art contest and got runner up.
